Summary:
Nestled on the edge of West Runton Common, St Joseph’s Cottage is a charming three-bedroom home just a 15-minute walk from West Runton’s sandy beach. The cottage offers stunning views in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Accommodating up to six guests, it boasts a spacious rear garden and convenient parking right outside. Perfect for those seeking comfort, convenience, and a tranquil coastal retreat.

The Space:
St Joseph’s Cottage combines modern comforts with charming coastal aesthetics.

The open-plan living and dining area features a log burner, flat screen TV, and seating for relaxing evenings. The dining table seats six, perfect for family meals and group breakfasts. The fully equipped kitchen includes gas hobs, a dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer.

All three bedrooms are furnished to a high standard. There’s a super-king, a king (which can be converted to twin beds), and a double. The ground-floor king room has direct access to the garden through patio doors.

The cottage has two bathrooms: a family bathroom upstairs with a rainfall shower over the bath, and a second bathroom with a rainfall shower on the ground floor.

Enjoy views over West Runton Common from the front of the property and the master bedroom. The spacious garden includes an outdoor dining table and umbrella.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

West Runton is perfectly situated between two of North Norfolk’s most popular destinations, Sheringham and Cromer. This quaint village offers a range of eateries, pubs, shops, and local businesses, making it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area.

St Joseph’s Cottage is just a 5-minute walk from the village centre and only 100 metres from West Runton train station, providing easy access to local attractions. A short stroll will take you to The Village Inn, a charming pub with a large beer garden, perfect for enjoying a meal and drinks on a sunny afternoon. Right across from the cottage is the Links Hotel and Golf Course, ideal for golf enthusiasts, and also offering a swimming pool and gym for added convenience.

West Runton Beach is nestled below sandstone cliffs and offers a unique coastal experience. At high tide, the beach is covered in shingle, but as the tide goes out, a vast stretch of sand and rock pools is revealed, perfect for families and fossil hunters. In 1990, the most complete Steppe mammoth skeleton—commonly known as the West Runton Elephant—was discovered here, adding an exciting piece of history to your beach adventure. After a day of exploring, the Seaview beach cafĂ© is the perfect spot for refreshments.

For walkers and hikers, West Runton sits along a stunning section of the Norfolk Coastal Path, offering breathtaking viewpoints and beautiful trails in both directions along the coast.

Just two miles from St Joseph’s Cottage is Sheringham, a traditional seaside town with an award-winning beach, heritage steam trains, and a variety of pubs, restaurants, cafĂ©s, and shops. It can be reached on foot in about 40 minutes or by car in just 8 minutes.

To the east, the bustling town of Cromer is known for its sandy beaches and famous Cromer Pier, home to the End of Pier Show at the Pavilion Theatre. For those looking for adventure, Glide Surf School offers surfing and paddleboarding right on the beach. Cromer is just a 10-minute drive from the cottage or a scenic hour-long walk.

St Joseph’s Cottage, located in West Runton, offers easy access to the surrounding attractions of North Norfolk by car, train, bus, or on foot. Whether you're arriving from nearby towns or exploring the local area, getting to and around St Joseph’s Cottage is straightforward and convenient.

West Runton is easily accessible by car. From Norwich, it's about a 40-45 minute drive via the A140 and A148. If you're traveling from London, the journey takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours via the A11 and A47.

West Runton Train Station is just 100 metres from St Joseph’s Cottage, providing excellent access for those arriving by train. The station is on the Bittern Line, offering regular services to and from Norwich, Sheringham, and Cromer. The scenic train ride along the coast is a great way to explore the nearby towns.

West Runton is served by regular bus services that connect the village to Sheringham, Cromer, and other nearby coastal towns. The bus stop in West Runton village is just a short walk from St Joseph’s Cottage, making it easy to explore the local area without a car.
