The primary way to reach the area is by car via Interstate 40 to Exit 407. For those flying in, the closest major commercial airport is McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) in Knoxville, about an hour's drive away, where rental cars are available. Once you arrive, a private vehicle is generally needed to reach your cabin on the mountain. However, once you are ready to explore the towns, the extensive and affordable trolley service is the best way to get around! This trolley system connects Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg, allowing you to park your car once and hop-on/hop-off at over a hundred stops, making it easy to reach attractions without dealing with traffic or finding multiple parking spots.
