For 55$ you will not find better. Breakfast restaurant just across the road, makes up for no continental. The rooms very clean, so it didn't matter that they were a little worn down. Very nice staff. Gas station next door as well. We're peaceful neighbourhood, no homeless people around.

So dirty
After walking into the room we immediately knew we couldn’t stay here. There were piles of dirt and food under the bed, mystery spots on the walls and ceiling, and our family’s other room smelled like smoke covered with air fresheners even though it was a nonsmoking room. We stuck our keys into the drop box and left. Driving home for 3 hours was better than trying to stay there for one night.

The shower valve does not work properly, the toilet leaking at the floor, the refrigerator has a noisy compressor that clicks and rattles, the room is smells musty, and the neighbor was loud and talking crazy until about two in the morning!

The stay was nice. A few of the fixtures were loose and could fall out of the wall soo n. Didnt like the bar soap but we made a suggestion of change. Over all was a nice and comfortable stay.

Great Motel Overall at a Bargain Rate
Checking in was easy and pleasant. Room has all necessities. The bed was excellent, comfortable and supportive. Plenty of hot water once the cold water is flushed out. The area is safe and close to shops and restaurants. All this and the nightly rate was a bargain. Overall I recommend Great House Motel.

The Great House Motel is anything but “great”. My wife and I stayed there in mid-September, 2023. The room was very small with space for only one tiny nightstand beside the bed. The single lamp in the dark room took up the entire nightstand. There was no light on or over the small “desk”. There was no closet, alcove or wardrobe to hang any clothes. The only electrical outlets were two power strips tacked to the walls so loosely that it made us nervous to use them. The “decorative stained glass” was colored plastic sheeting glued to the window. The bathroom was serviceable although there was no light over the undersized sink. The bed was relatively comfortable, and the office manager was nice and helpful when we needed toiletries. -- Richard S.

Decent stay, slightly worn off
I stayed one night and the experience was quite close to what I expected. Location is practical too. However, there were relatively a lot of stains in various places: bed, towels and shower curtain. In addition, bed sheets were slightly worn off and the fridge was somewhat noisy. I still felt that the room was clean enough, and therefore the stay was still ok.

Absolute dump. Tiny, filthy room. There was a black shoe print on one of the pillow cases. No linen service — one towel provided for the entire stay. Not enough bedding and no clean bedding or housekeeping of any kind during the stay. Filthy air conditioner. Bedbugs and black mold. The floor turns the soles of your feet black after walking across the room one time. The people running this place had family over and they took up all the parking spaces, then had an attitude about it. If free parking is included with the room, there had better be a space for me. The lot is also tiny so if you have anything bigger than a midsize car, you’re going to have a tough time fitting. It’s the cheapest place in the area (for good reason) so when I had to stay in town a little longer than planned, I tried to extend the reservation. The people at the desk said there were no rooms available. I went back on hotels.com and there were rooms available, so I booked one. I have no idea why they lied about this. The motel allowed me to stay in the same room, but told me I was getting a great deal because the room I was in was a medium and what I had reserved online was a small. If my room was a medium, a small must be a closet. Their medium room is literally the smallest motel room I’ve ever seen. I’m not a demanding guest. I’m not that picky about where I stay, and I knew for the price I paid, I wasn’t going to get luxury, but this was about a $30 value, if that. Stay elsewhere.

Upon check in we let everyone know if need help or room service or supplies please let front desk know about and from your side no one stop by or call front desk also after room cleaned we inspect the room and there were 2 bath towel/2med/2small with floor mat was there. The people running have family come over was non of your business and no one from there side disturb you also have more than enough parking space available after that and we do not advertise any sort of room parking - yes we have free parking and we do not charge you for that. We do not over promote anyway in including motel condition / facilities / parking etc. you do not stop by to extend reservation also if we are booked out then we have no room available but incase some cancel reservation then yes we have room available. We do not lied because you do not stop by to office to extend. you originally booked a room with queen small and we upgrade free for you to queen medium because you do not wanna change room and you booked the 2 reservation on your own. We have a queen small room and queen med room photos available to check before booked how the room look like - ( definitely not a closet ). we do not promote for a big room like new built hotels. Also if not picky then no one stay longer more than one day if compare to describe as per your review and they cancel 2nd reservation right away if feels like 30 value then.
