Disorganized. Came in at 3 o’clock to see if they had an early check-in, they didn’t but that’s fine. I was told my room would be ready at 4. I came back in few minutes before waited in line more than 20 minutes, while the desk clerks sorted out some mess that was made instead of helping others. There was three people, one person could’ve checked people in when it was my turn. The room was not ready. I ended up asking how will I know my room is ready and will I have to wait in this long line again. I was told they would call me. I sat in the lobby and waited. The person that I had went to never said anything to me and then finally after 40 minutes, another clerk said he could help me and took me in front of others and the person that I originally spoke to said oh I have her keys right here. Why didn’t she call me? We’ve been waiting past the check in time. It was just really ridiculous. I’ve never experienced anything like this. I have never not had my room ready on time the room that I paid for to be ready at that time. The room itself is OK. Definitely some furniture that needs to be replaced because the backs are torn on the chairs, but everything else was acceptable. A smart TV might be nice in this day and age. Really really great view!

As you know, we are working hard to refurbish some guest rooms, and you were inadvertently placed in a room that was not presentable. the ocean was near by as stated aside from that the place is dump, my vehicle was hit by a motorcycle they allowed to have a motorcycle gang fill the parking structure! the room was a wreck, the ac did not work the balcony was unusable as it was directly over a fryer vent from a restaurant they added directly below the balconies! the staff were lazy un friendly and absolutely unwilling to take charge , take responsibility and at times were not even available!

I never seemed that terrible experience in hotel! When I and my wife sleeping in room. Sudden, a staff can go in my room, he said he try to call me (I never hear my phone is ringing!), no response, than k nock the door, no response! So he get in the room! I ask for what problem? He said some mistake for their side, so I need go downstairs check in again. I really feel anger! Whatever what reason, the staffs know that someone in room, that’s no reason they can come in anytime! Scared my wife ! Additional, why I can’t hear the he knock door, because that’s so noisy of upstairs and neighbor room! How’s I can know what sounds is about someone knock door or other sounds !?

We were not told upon check-in that they were if you use a debit card. You are charged two nights for every night stay you book! There is no signage that said they were to Oh do this. I have never had this done at any hotel we have ever stayed at anywhere in the US. You can see they were replacing the mattresses we saw them in the dumpsters unfortunately, the room we stayed in room 224. The mattresses were horrible so we left in pain. We were charged over $500 for one night stay because they charged the double fee when they put the debit card in and then they charge an extra night on top of that .We were treated poorly we were not offered any compensation for charging us over $500 for one night stay . I email to a district manager as well about a week ago. I’ve not heard one word. So unfortunately a place we used to love to go when it was under The Shilo is no longer for us. We were treated poorly we weren’t compensated for them taking over $500 for one night stay So from now on, we will go elsewhere. It’s a shame we were going there for years under the Shilo, the new place promenade inn and suite not so special. Again, beware if you use a debit card, I was told that’s their policy. They charge you two nights for every night you book if you use a debit card, you must use a credit card at that property not to have that done is what we were told. We wish anyone good luck who decides to stay there. I finally got the $327 overcharge back in my account a few days after our stay.

Linda, We apologize for the additional authorization on your debit card. This transaction has been an ongoing issue with hoteliers and guests who use this form of payment instead of a credit card. You must have pre-paid for your stay in advance, but the Expedia site states that a card needs to be presented at check-in for any incidentals. The hotel releases that authorization, and it will often take a few days for your bank to recognize it. We are working hard to complete upgrades to our guest spaces and hope you will return to enjoy another stay at our location in time.

The rooms were clean but the condition of the hotel is poor. Only one elevator was working and it made terrible noises and was very slow. The fire place in our room did not work and the sliding glass door was so hard to get opened and closed. The phone in our room also did not work so there was no way to contact the front desk. Staff was wonderful the pool was wonderful but this hotel needs a little love and maintenance.

Your staff especially Junior were awesome. I accidentally left my wallet in my room and I didn't find out until on the road home stopped at s store and realized it wasn't with me so frantically called front desk and i believe it was Tom ? I hope that was his name ...he was already on his way down to the entrance when i pulled up and he was holding my wallet and i was so relieved. His response and actions were so awesome and I will come back here everytime. Thank you Junior, and all staff again for a wonderful stay

There were bedbugs in our room, so we immediately vacated the premises. And although it's a "no-smoking" facility, many guests were smoking (not just cigarettes) on their balconies, and the smoke wafted into neighboring rooms. We were unable to speak with the manager despite numerous attempts. The staff said they didn't know how to reach him, and he never returned our calls. Expedia negotiated a refund, which we're still waiting for. Meanwhile, we're busy fumigating all of our belongings in order to not infest our home with bedbugs. Very bad experience!

We had a wonderful time at the beach. The rooms are a little dated but very clean and comfortable. They seemed to be short staffed but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Only 1 elevator seemed to work which made waiting for an elevator a long wait. My only real complaint would be they couldn’t open the door that connect the two rooms.

The room we had was really cold. We found out it was because the windows in the loft were open and wouldnt shut. We just got some extra blankets and were okay afterwards. Also, the day we checked out, check out was at 11am and around 9am, i believe a housekeeper opened the door. I was asleep and my dog started barking at the door and as soon as it opened i got startled, but i never saw the person that opeened it. It was just kind of scary and weird

The front service was rude. Need to have better people skills I went to my room had no light in next to my door. I ask if they could put a light bulb in. no one even tried. nothing changed. In the bath room no wash cloths. I also checked out the tub with my friend. That was also not clean. I am sorry i feel i should receive some of money back. I will not return

Property was very run down and outdated. Our room was falling apart. Toilet flooded and it was just a mess though they did bring us a plunger in a timely manner they did nothing to accommodate the mess except bring us towels. Pool area was gross gym was a sad excuse for a gym. Hot tub was absolutely disgusting and broken. They did say they were under new management and working on making changes. Perhaps you close down for a little while and make the changes before allowing guests to waste their money.

I booked a deluxe suite with 1 king bed, with double sofa bed and ocean view that supposedly sleeps 5, with shower tub combo, etc Upon check in the room they offered had only 1 king bed and lacked most of the amenities promised. We had to request a rollaway bed, which turned out to be a single bed, making it impossible for the room to accommodate 5 as stated. The room did not have a tub, blackout drapes, or a 36-inch TV as advertised - the TV was at most a 22". I had to prove my reservation said ocean view to get one. The hot tub, pool, and sauna - key features we were looking forward to - were all closed the entire week. Despite confirming their bed and poil availability (open 10-8) over the phone 2d before our arrival, they had closed facilities upon check-in. The hotel recently changed ownership, and i could not find a direct booking site, forcing guests to book thru 3rd party. I watched as 7 out of 7 families, including my own, were told it was 3rd partys fault the hotel reservation system failed to get any reservation correct. One elevator was broken. Also from 8am to 9pm throughout Easter weekend staff threw mattresses one after another banging down several flights of stairs (i have this on video). Had it been not a sold out week during spring break, I would have uprooted. But my young children were counting on a beach weekend near the sand. So buy earplugs, print a hardcopy of your reservation,call about your beds anyway, get there early to argue for them anyway.

Great location is the only perk to staying at this hotel. It is old and dirty. Spend a few extra bucks and stay elsewhere. You will be saving money because most hotels offer free breakfast, this one does not. Really sad, I stayed at this hotel as a kid and had very fond memories. 30 years later I was disgusted.

Just wanted to say thank you to DJ for being very helpful throughout our stay. Clearly it is going under remodeling so that’s why it was 4/5 in other ratings but I had an excellent time in Seaside thanks to your hospitality. Thank you, will be back soon.

We did not end up staying here as the pool and hot tub were out of order, the view of the room was nice, but the housekeeping of the room was way below par. We should have taken a picture of the room. It was not acceptable.

Our room was switched on us, didnt get our room cleaned at all, asked twice, also requested a rollaway bed and extra pillows never received them. Smelled like dogs, pool wasnt available. Paid for a partial ocean view didnt have iy, only way to see ot was to lean so far over the balony we almost fell and even then wasnt a partial view. The elevator kept feeling like it was going to break down. Very disappointed

Great ocean front view and convenient to all. It took over 30 minutes to check into our room, the pool and hot tub was out of commission and there was a mold spot on the ceiling of our room.

Overall it was okay. Heater in the room was not working properly, and rooms kinda old and everything falling apart but they are under new management so hope everything will get better soon.
