The outside lacked attention with thick dirt on the windows, mildew on awnings, and some inappropriate things written on the thick dirt on the windows that our kids pointed out. Spiderwebs on the doorframe were not welcoming. Location was unimpressive- not unsafe, not desirable. Inside was very cute, set up like a diner, first floor apt. « Stayed at the Gray Horse for four nights Jan-Feb 2026. Even though the temps were COLD outside, the location is great and the walk to town was fine. The house is clean, and welcoming. Loved the gas fireplace. All rooms were nicely furnished. The few times I needed to reach out to the host, he responded quickly. Would recommend this property and would stay here again. Completely remodeled, very clean and close to the shops/restaurants.The layout of the house was very comfortable for us, no one felt they were on top of one another. "Séjour très décevant. La chambre n’était pas propre à notre arrivée, avec plusieurs éléments négligés. Les meubles étaient visiblement endommagés et le décor est clairement vétuste, donnant une impression générale de manque d’entretien. L’expérience ne correspondait pas du tout aux attentes ni aux standards habituels. Je ne recommanderais pas cet établissement dans son état actuel. Le personnel était quand même souriant!"
