Enjoy OCEAN views from almost every window inside your unit! Relax in a stunning and private ocean view beach retreat in beautiful Santa Barbara, just steps to the beach—1 BD/1 BA, sleeps 2-4. Unwind inside with stellar ocean and mountain views from every room, and enjoy outdoor living on the balcony or rooftop deck with panoramic ocean, mountain, and sunrise and sunset views. Perfectly located for an easy walk to the beach, beautiful Shoreline Park, the harbor, or downtown in just minutes. Private gated entry, with stairs to unit hidden behind main residence garage. The space
This fabulous unit has a private entrance and is separated from the main house by its outdoor ocean-view balcony. Located above the main residence's 2-car garage, it has a full, high-end kitchen, separate bedroom with a queen bed and lockable pocket door and blackout window shades, and bathroom with deep soaking tub (with shower) and bidet toilet for your cleaning and relaxing pleasure.
Ocean views galore are yours from the main living area, including out the window above the kitchen sink! Fabulous mountain views from the bathroom and bedroom--and even a peak of the ocean from those rooms as well. The spacious balcony (partially covered) allows you to relax and dine outdoors with ocean views, and the rooftop deck has incomparable views of the ocean and mountains in all directions for you and your family.
The kitchen has an Bosch induction range top and convention oven, instant hot water dispenser, whole-house water filter, and much more. The living area has a pullout full-size sofa bed that sleeps two somewhat smaller humans comfortably--additional bedding is in the bedroom closet and the foam mattress topper is available on request. Pack n Play playpen (with mattress) and high chair also available on request for your smallest humans.
Guest access
This one-bedroom unit is yours to use exclusively. The gated entry to the side of the driveway is used by guests only to access the hidden stairs at the back of the large garage over which the unit is located.
The unit is connected the the main residence by an outside, partially covered balcony. Our guests will have exclusive use of that balcony during their stay, along with potentially shared use of the rooftop deck with the property owners.
You will be just steps from your unit's entrance after you park. One space to the right of the driveway is available for you to park off-street if desired, along with abundant on-street parking near the unit.
The back yard is accessed through a gate at the bottom of the stairs to the unit if you want to smell our roses, but we have two (very friendly) pups that use the yard most of the time. You're also welcome to use the outdoor shower under your landing in the backyard to rinse off after an ocean visit. Just let us know if you need the dogs taken inside while you use it!
Lemons from our tree (and potentially oranges, avocados, or peaches, depending on the season) are available for sharing with guests upon request.
Other things to note
Our neighborhood is the undisputed gem of all Santa Barbara's neighborhoods. Guests are 5 houses from the closest beach access, a block from gorgeous Shoreline Park, less than a mile to iconic Leadbetter Beach, and minutes by car (if you choose not to walk) to the Santa Barbara Harbor, State Street, Funk Zone, and Montecito (known for their Coast Village Road shopping and occasional celebrity sightings).
A variety of shops, restaurants, pharmacies, and grocery stores--including Lazy Acres Natural Market and Von's--are walking distance or a very short drive away. The mountains for hiking and beautiful views are easily accessible, or you can be visiting the Santa Ynez wine region, Los Olivos, or Solvang in just 45 minutes. It doesn't get much better!
