Good hotel, great room, nice small swimming-pool, but our bedroom was above very noisy chillers or fancoils that made a loud noise the whole night, making sleeping difficult.

Expedia conformation number did not match hotel. Room was small and needed painting. Nothing in the room, no water, coffee.... at $525 a night it should have been nicer.

The room, a suite, was spacious and comfortable. The heating and AC controls could be improved. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed in one of the suites and the room was lovely but a little bare…no water left in the room, most of the shelves were completely empty. It left a beautiful room feeling cold. Water and toiletries would be really helpful, especially at that price point.

We had a bad experience here. We had a rat in our car when we got the car back from valet after checking out from the hotel. We drove with the rat in the car for about 15 mins; we almost get into an accident and I almost get a heart attack. The rat peed and pooped all over the car, and damaged our belongings in the car including jackets, shoes, etc. that we had in the back seat. I have pictures and videos including video of the rat running out of the car. The hotel is refusing to compensate us for anything not even a detailed car wash. The bathroom is tiny. If you are coming with kids or need more space, this is not the hotel you want to book.

Our room was very dated and tired. The dresser was old and the drawers barely opened. The standing lamp was rickety. The bathroom was tiny and the shower water was like needles. Our room was not cleaned and when we asked for service we were told we had to request cleaning. We were not told this at check in. The dark closet had no light. The property is old but charming. The staff was nice.

The Montecito Inn is quite charming and nestled in the heart of a quite yet inviting location. Very clean, comfortable bedding, friendly and knowledgeable and welcoming staff.

A wonderful place in a great location. You an easily walk up and down Coast Village Road in Monticeto, and it is right next to Lucky's. The restaurant and bar in the hotel is also excellent. The fitness room has some dumbells, weight machines and some cardio machines, so one can definitely get a workout in. I would highly recommend the property to anyone who wants to go to Santa Barbara and stay in Monticeto.

I was so excited to take my mom to the famous Montecito Inn. I had gotten a great price on Hotels.com, which was even better. The Inn is older, but you can tell they have taken the time to do some upgrades and keep the original flare of the Inn. Our first room we were placed in smelled old, the furniture was a bit beat up, but overall clean and quaint. Unfortunately, we were on the freeway side so I asked to be moved which they did quickly. We went across the hall and the room was the same, except in the bathroom, they had not changed it since the 70s. It was done in the ugliest orange/brown tile in the shower and on the floor. There was a child size school-like toilet which was right next to the door making it hard to close. But the best part...there was a giant full-size tiger hand painted on the wall in the shower. Soooooo weird. Overall, the stay was fine, great location, but definitely old.

The location of the Inn is great. The rooms are mediocre, nothing special. Bathrooms are tiny and water pressure is super low in the shower. The bed was super uncomfortable. For the cost of the stay I was expecting much better.
