Séjour très agréable. Personnel accueillant, navette gratuite vers Sorrento, service de réservation d’excursions. Belle piscine, terrasse invitante. Musique en soirée. Très bon petit déjeuner style buffet, beaucoup de variété, je recommande de l’inclure. Lunch à la carte sur la terrasse très bon. Le seul commentaire est pour le repas du soir, qui est un menu pré-établi et qui change tous les jours mais qui n’est pas à la hauteur du reste de la qualité de l’hôtel. Je ne recommande pas le repas du soir, qui semble être fait en grande quantité. Je retournerais volontiers à l’hôtel Caravel.

Tres bon hotel. Buffet du petit dejeuner avec du choix . Diner de qualité entrée, plat et dessert plus un buffet de crudités. Le personnel est tres agréable. La navette de l'hotel permet de se rendre rapidement dans le centre de sorrento, sinon 25 minutes à pieds.

Not a 4 stars, but excellent staff and service!!
First impression was really disappointment! The Caravel hotel has nothing to do with a 4 star: location is correct but far from Sorrento and the walk down there isn"t at all nice, rooms are basic and the pool area is very small. That said, the kindness of the hotel staff (all of them) changed our mind and we will keep an excellent memory of our stay. We had chosen the half board and breakfast and dinners were really excellent: good food and wide choice, very good service. If you take these elements into account, this hotel is very good value and you should go! If you need the exclusivity and comfort of 4/5 stars, choose another location.

Excellent séjour dans un hotel à recommender.
Hotel familial d'un excellent niveau qui mérite tout à fait ses 4 *. L'établissement est situé à environ 200 m de la mer mais il faut savoir qu'il s'agit des "plages italiennes", c'est à dire petites et payantes. De toutes façons il y a la piscine (très propre et agréable) pour se rafraichir au retour d'excursions. Quartier calme. L'hotel est très propre, les chambres rénovées. La restauration est de qualité à tendance locale. Le personnel, que ce soit de la réception, du bar et restaurant ou d'entretien est toujours disponible. Une quinzaine exceptionnelle qui restera dans nos mémoires.

In die Jahre gekommenes Hotel. Das Frühstück war mittelmäßig. In der Dusche lief das Wasser kaum ab. Der Föhn funktionierte nur manchmal. Auf dem Dach ist eine Klimaanlage, die man bei offenen Fenster in den Zimmern der oberen Etagen als störendes lautes Grundrauschen hört. Die Lüftung in den Zimmern ist auch sehr laut. Durch die geschlossenen Fenster zieht der Wind. Das Personal ist dafür sehr nett. Die Standardzimmer sind sehr klein! Die Betten sind superhart. Wir waren nach zwei Tagen wie gerädert…

We had a very enjoyable stay. All staff were excellent and they arranged three trips for us. The courtesy bus was super, the driver was prompt and very helpful. We were able to watch England rugby in Sorrento and still get back on the courtesy bus. We enjoyed seeing all the local sights. Would recommend Hotel Caravel.

A fine place to stay.
Hotel was great. Its not brand new, but its very clean and the staff was excellent. Location is about a 20 min walk from downtown sorrento but they have a free shuttle that runs close to there every 30 mins. Wonderful places to eat near by. The only issue we had is we thought the beds were very hard, but thats not something to really complain about.

The staff was great, especially during the free breakfast which was very good. 1 day they had eggs to order, wish it was every day. Lots of choices, even gluten free pastries. Room was good. The free shuttle to Sorrento was the best. It's a 7 minute drive.Try to book at least 30 minutes in advance or you may have to wait for the second run. Though that's not a long wait. My only minor complaint would be they were unable to provide clear information on what the excursions the hotel provides (I think there is someone there on Saturdays who books as well, but we weren't there). We booked an Amalfi/Positano big boat group tour. We wanted the small tour but they were already booked (do this in advance if you want). The large group was much cheaper. We asked when it returns, we were told 5. We got back a little after 7 and were super exhausted. It was very hot. Amalfi and Positano are similar. After doing 3 hours at Amalfi, 2 1/2 at Positano was a lot in the heat. However, it was a really good value. My last night I asked to book a taxi to the airport and was told it was too late. Eventually they found someone. We had to pay 150 cash or 200 card. 150 is close to what it should be, but I prefer to pay card. That being said, front desk are all super friendly and try to help. Last complaint is they keep your passports at the front desk in plain view of everyone. I saw the desk unoccupied a few times. That's just a nightmare waiting to happen. That being said I would definitely return.

Not sure when I will be back to Sorrento but whenever that is I will be staying at Hotel Caravel. The service by all the staff is outstanding and the pool is so clean and very refreshing. The staff were so helpful with suggestions for tours and sightseeing. The breakfast and the service at breakfast was great as well. The shuttle to town was so convenient. And even on the day we were leaving we could store our bags, use the pool and even use the courtesy shower facilities after. Overall 5 out of 5

Regular visitor here for many years and always enjoy our stay there and will return. Great staff, friendly and we like the cleanliness. The food is very good, as is the location and everything just seems to work for us. Only issue this time was the noisy young couple in the room next door for a couple of nights playing music after 11pm, but that is not at all the hotel’s fault. The hotel staff were very sympathetic that we had disturbed sleep and offered us another room which was very helpful.

Great on the outside!
This hotel needs a lot of improvement to rate as a 4 Star in my opinion. (Yes it does have a nice pool and garden which is great, and I guess helps it get an extra star) Yes the outside looks excellent but unfortunately the interior is very dated, especially the rooms which appear to have no noise insulation at all, the beds are hard and the bathrooms are just so outdated. Unfortunately that is not the end of it. The food is the worst we have had anywhere in the last decade that we can recall, and certainly the worst we had in Italy in the proceeding two weeks. I strongly suspect the Chief has been there for many years and does no realise things have changed. I would suggest he is taken out to one of the many excellent restaurants in town for him to see how it can be done. I am very surprised at how good the rating are. We can only assume some others don't get away very often and are pleased not to have to cook themselves.

Older hotel about 20 min walk to city center. Staff very friendly and helpful, daily breakfast buffet was very good, pool very nice, rooms spacious and clean, bathroom and shower were good, hot water more than enough, good Wi-Fi access. Shuttle option was very nice except didn’t run in the morning to get to town for tours. Other than that we were very happy with our stay!

Great hotel just outside Sorrento.
Great hotel. All staff were excellent & professional. Rooms were slightly dated but clean with everything you need. The free shuttle to and from Sorrento was a great bonus. Our driver Gregorio was very friendly. Nice pool & breakfast was plentiful.

Exceptional place to stay
Had a great experience staying at this Hotel. We picked it because it was close to the local train station and away from the busy downtown. Hotel staff were excellent, very friendly and accommodating. The free shuttle into Town was an excellent feature. Breakfast was really nice. The Hotel Restaurant manager always went above and beyond to make people happy. If you bring a baby be prepared to have him show him or her off to the rest of the guests. Cost was very reasonable for rooms and and restaurant. Nightly entertainment in the bar. Overall an exceptional place to stay away from all the downtown crowds and noise. The views were exceptional from the balcony and upper deck!

Renovated rooms, Incredible views of Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius from our room, well located, available parking. Only thing that needs improvement is the selection of items available at breakfast, is so so, other than that I do recommend this hotel.

The staff at the hotel were really friendly and helpful. There was a regular shuttle to and from the hotel to Sorrento centre which was great. The pool looked lovely but we didn’t get the opportunity to go for a swim. We were given an upgrade to a sea front room which was lovely!
