This low-density boutique inn is perfect for a quick secluded tropical getaway with its close proximity to all of the restaurants, shopping, and bike trails Sanibel Island has to offer. If you have a longer stay in mind, The Driftwood Inn has you covered with the amenities you need for extended lodging, designed in a vibrant coastal chic design. All 4 units feature open living and dining areas, convenient and colorful full kitchens, private lanais, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. A 6-minute walk takes you to the private beach access at the end of Donax St and spills out to the sparkling, shell-filled waters of Sanibel. After a day well spent at the beach, take a rest under one of the Tiki Huts or grill up your local catch in the BBQ area. Driftwood Inn is available for nightly, weekly and monthly rentals, and with the prime location and free amenities, it's best to book your stay as soon as possible!

    Clean and Great Location!
    The house was very clean inside and the property grounds are very well kept. It is very small and cozy inside, and there is no closet in the master bedroom. I would suggest finding out exactly where the public access to the beach is prior to arriving. There were construction signs and a fence at the end of Donax where I assumed the public access was. I sent an email asking but never got a response. It wasn’t a huge issue for us but might be for some if you don’t want to spend more time than you have to walking around trying to find a way to get on the beach. One very minor thing was there weren’t any pillow cases for the extra pillows for the pullout couch. We had traveled with a couple extra pillows so for us it wasn’t a big deal.

    A return to Paradise
    My grown daughter's favorite childhood getaway. She wanted to return for her 50th birthday. Gratitude to the workers who are at it 20 hours a day even with flashlights. It was clear our unit still had some finishing touches to happen, however, to get to come back and play at our beach was priceless. It is a great story of the fall and rise of faith and hope. Coul have been a tad quieter, however we had a grand time watching the daily progress as spaces were being prepared for the season.

    Lovely stay. Condo was very nice. Beds were comfy. I hope my sister and I can return some day. It was a great restful vaca on a beautiful island.

    A nice place with good beds and beach accessories. Check-in was a breeze and the information about the area was excellent. Love sanibel and the restaurants are excellent.

    Ok for a short stay
    The place was nice and clean. I brought my mother to Sanibel for shelling, had a nice relaxing time. Description said there was a washer and dryer, but there wasn't. One of the windows in the kitchen didn't have a shade, my mother wasn't comfortable with that. Clock in kitchen had a broken glass cover and wasn't working right, no big deal there, just fyi. Could not get the TV in the living room to work, I called to let them know, I was told they would send someone, no one came. It finally started working the morning we left. Would not stay again, and wouldn't recommend.

    The main part that is bad is the check on is so late (4:00) and the check out is earlier (10:00). I did get a text when we were driving down that it was earlier but obviously it was too late then.

    Great location, minimalist
    Let me start by saying this location and property were great. We were so happy to find a pet friendly rental that allowed us to bring our 2 well behaved dogs. However, I will note that this is a pretty minimalist rental. It states it fits 6, although there is not enough living room seating for 4 without someone sitting at the dinner table. The kitchen was also very limited with lower quality items to use. If you plan to cook at all, you will need to bring your own cooking supplies including pans as the ones provided are very low quality. We purchased fresh fish from a local fish market to cook in one evening and had to buy new pans for the stove and the stove had a hard time running more than one burner at once. If you are merely looking for a place to stay and eat out all meals, you will be set here. Beds could be more comfortable but they did the job. Again, very nice but very minimal rental.
