Palma Vista Beachfront Penthouse

The perfect home away for families that enjoy nature at their own pace. The property is located just 40 mins from San Juan via highway and local roads. The drive is an easy and pleasant one with lots of picture perfect spots. The place has a big living area and roof top to enjoy among family and friends. The complex have 2 pools and 3 beach access to Seven Seas, Playa Escondida and walking distance to a world renowned Nature Reserve Las Cabezas de San Juan with its Bioluminiscent bay. Just a 2 minute drive and you will be at Las Croabas Village a tourist and restaurant area where you can take water taxis to the small cays off the coast of Fajardo like Icacos and Palominitos for a day on the beach or snorkeling. From the ports of Fajardo and Ceiba you can take the Ferry or Plane and go to the larger islands of Vieques & Culebra. The El Yunque Tropical Rain Forest is just a 15 min drive. Fajardo is a big town with many conveniences like, shopping malls and hospitals and nearby Canovanas has an Outlet Mall with major brands of stores just 30 min drive.

Great location and very nice gated condo. Very spacious. Air conditioning throughout. Enough kitchen supplies to eat in for meals when we wanted to with even an outdoor Foreman grill. Took a little while to find the hot water main switch. Huge bonus having a washer and dryer. Cons: only the master bedroom had glass window panes so the other two bedrooms were extremely loud at night and in the early morning with the insects, birds and roosters which made good sleep very difficult. If they'd fix that issue this would be 5 stars all the way. We really enjoyed our stay overall and that was the only real issue we had.

The grounds are clean. Building is freshly painted. Stairways are clean as easy to go up and down. The pool is nice, but the local birds use it as a bathroom. I would suggest that Palma Vista hire a Falconer to come in once a month to clear the birds out as they make a mess of the balcony too. Aside from that we like the area. Proximity to the beach is great. We ate at Las Vistas Cafe twice. I highly recommend because of the great food and personnal service. The apartment itself is nice, but needs updates. The cabinet facias are coming apart due to coast humidity. The couch is so low, it's like sitting on the floor. The beads are low as well. No TV in the main bedroom. few pillows that aren't fluffy. These are small criticisms and if you plan to spend most of your time outside while you stay in PR, then the place is fine 3 1/2 stars

Great location! Plenty to do all around the condo so we would recommend to anyone wanting to do a little of everything. Restaurants everywhere too. Fair price but the interior could have been a little nicer but clean, so all is well!

The stay at the penthouse was amazing. The view of the pool, beach and ocean was perfect. The beach is right across the street which made it easy for the family to travel back and forth with ease. They also provided us with beach chairs, a little cooler and a boogie board which gave us everything we needed to enjoy. The complex was clean and secure. The pool was lovely and provided a relaxing environment. The penthouse was clean and the rooftop area was comfortable and lovely to sit and enjoy the breeze and watch the stars. Thank you for sharing this location with us.

Great location - across the street from a great beach and a short walk to a beach restaurant. Very short drive from bio bay tour and water taxis to island. The 3 bedroom condo was well suited for our group - plenty of space for our group and had everything that we needed. It was nice to have 2 bathrooms. We enjoyed using the cooler, beach chairs, and boogie boards.

The location across the street from a snorkeling beach is fantastic and unique. This end 3rd floor unit is incredible with an entire rooftop balcony, main floor balcony, lots of interior room, and good functioning AC. Minor downsides: providing only 6 Corelle dinner plates and even less smaller plates and bowls means you’re hand washing dishes all the time, not to mention no platters or serving plates. For a place that advertises sleeping 6, that’s not enough dishes. Only 1 kitchen dish towel is provided as well, although the owner may not have control over that. The kitchen and bathroom drawer facades are all peeling. Only had 1 initial communication from the owner. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again!

Loved this place, would definitely stay here again. Perfect for our family of four with two teens, more than enough space for all of us. Great to be able to head across the street to the beach in the morning to read and swim before the teens were ready to be up and going. Walked up the road for an excellent two-hour Cabezas de San Juan tour with Para La Naturaleza, amazing views from the lighthouse.

Great price, good stay. Property was clean and spacious. The deck was great for morning coffee, and breakfast and the roof had lots of room a good view of the land on the property. The pool was clean and not busy, which was great. There was some construction past the property, so we are unable to adventure up that way. There were some great restaurants in the area, and it was a quick drive to our snorkeling and kayaking activities. The beach was a quick and easy, walk across the street and was a beautiful beach. You also had a view of the old lighthouse, and could walk about 10 minutes to a beach on the other side of the peninsula, which was absolutely gorgeous and minimal people were there. It was off season, so some things were closed, but all in all we enjoyed the stay and would absolutely return for another.

This was our second time renting a unit in this complex. Last time we rented a different unit with a rooftop terrace. Amenities were not as updated as previous rental but price is also lower. We unfortunately had zero access to the pool during our stay due to a repair. I feel as if compensation should have been offered for this as I rented a place with a pool because I enjoy having a pool in the evening to use or when we are tired of the beach. I understand it is the management of the entire complex to handle but for the first few days there we never saw anyone working on the pool. The owners were given a letter that it was being repaired and should have only taken the first two days of our trip to be fixed. That was acceptable but the pool was taped off our entire stay and was never fixed. I knew about the construction before booking and honestly don’t feel as if it interrupted much of anything for us other than a less convenient walk to the beach but wasn’t that big of a deal. We also lost power one evening for the entire evening until about 9/10 am the next day. It was the entire one building that lost power though not under the owners control. She did contact the necessary people to get it up and running as quickly as possible. Palma Vista is a great location and secure apartment complex. Always felt safe here and the view is fantastic. I would have liked to have one more beach chair as there were only 3 available and a beach cart would be a great addition.

Wonderful location and amazing property but the constant road construction outside took a bit away from the experience. Listening to a generator day and night took some getting used to and was not exactly the ocean sounds we had in mind. That being said the property was well maintained and had everything we needed for a family of with young children. We would definitely consider staying there again.

My family and I (4 Adults) and 2 children ( under age 10) enjoyed our stay at this location Having stayed in Fajardo before I found this location convenient to many of the attractions we wanted to see ( bio bay, El Yunque Seven seas beach and A short drive to Luquillo beach. ) The condo, grounds and pool are clean and safe Very good local restaurants are in walking distance or short drive The Host was very accommodating and communicated well throughout our stay The only downside is it is on a very busy road and can get loud at night with the traffic ( speed bumps here would solve that easily) The beach is across the road and easy access

Clean property with lots of amenities and felt safe. Plenty of space to spread out, especially with the two balconies with views of the ocean. Had all the essentials, and the beach towels, chairs and cooler were wonderful bonuses for day outings. Seven Seas Beach right across the street with walking access to Playa Escondida as well, and just a 30 minute drive to El Yunque. Several restaurants and a nice supermarket just a short drive away. The only complaint is the road noise and rooster, which made it difficult to sleep in two of the rooms. Apparently there are many roosters all over the island, but this one was in a tree right outside the windows crowing several hours each night/morning. Suggest to bring ear plugs. Otherwise a beautiful condo and location overall with easy access to many of Puerto Rico’s wonderful attractions.
