So sad to have to be negative but if we can save anyone else from spending the money on a well deserved vacation, this hotel is simply not worth it. Puerto Rico is amazing!! Just cannot recommend this Hyatt. Service: extremely inconsistent. Thankfully there were a few outstanding employees but unfortunately, that staff was very far and few. Slow is an understatement, inattentive was the daily norm. Trying to figure out where and when you can eat/drink required its own map and changed on a whim. They might be open and close when stated but most likely not. Hospitality was simply not the goal here. Very few smiling faces, had to learn about the options from fellow guests. The staffing genuinely made no sense. During the busiest times, there is one person checking people in/out, one bartender on the busiest bars, a resort of this caliber should not make you feel so disregarded. Our first morning of our long awaited vacation started with housekeeping knocking and then calling multiple times at 9 am. We wake up very early every day of our work lives so with the beautiful hot sun, vacation mode on the brain, the expectation to be out of your room by 9 am is ridiculous. Beach: you can lay out on the dirt/sand but if you want to swim in an ocean, get up early for the few spots that allow a chest level ocean experience. The rest is rock and seaweed filled. Simply does not resemble a resort beach experience.

They where rude they tried to charge me an extra 1000$ for breakfast after we had already paid for that in the resort fee so when I closed my tab out at the hotel the day I was leaving they opened back up When I left and was charging away on my card I would never stay here again

This resort was amazing,!only thing is it was away from everything. Taking taxis was expensive to get into town but the relaxation and beauty of the resort was top notch. The staff was the best I ever encountered!

Nice resort with large, clean pool area. Access to the beach. Dining options were good- definitely go for the breakfast buffet, or the market for a coffee and small snack. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

the location is spectacular the the staff, though they are competent, was not overly helpful for a hotel of this caliber. Also the entire hotel has slick marble floors, both in the rooms as well as the outdoor areas which were insanely slippery. We ended up laying towels all over the floors in our room and bathrooms. There are signage that say it's slippery but they need to fix the problem, not just put up signs telling you it's slippery.

The pool is gorgeous and the beach was right next to it!! ! We loved that there were people of ages!! I understand the need for the golf carts but they took up way too much of the sidewalk and drive way to fast, especially around corners.

Beautiful hotel on a beautiful beach. Easy 30 min drive to San Juan. Everyone was very nice & welcoming. Only issue we encountered was some dirty sheets but the staff took care of the issue & gave us fresh sheets. I would recommend bringing mosquito repellent especially if you plan to hang out by the beach early morning or in the evening.

Property was very spacious, peaceful and very quiet. The beach is steps away from your room and plenty of space to feel secluded especially if you wonder down the path away from the main area of resort. Very family friendly. Showers were heavenly as the water pressure was excellent! Rooms were modern and nice size. Trolleys to give you a lift anywhere on resort. What I did not like: -Pools are too warm! Felt like soup. -Pina coladas at the poolside bar are garbage and not worth the money. Do not order. Overall drinks are not great. -Not enough Puerto Rican cuisine and desserts. Too American. -Too much American music around the pool area. -Feel more like a inclusive resort by offering more activities, like salsa night, jet ski, scuba diving, snorkeling, themed nights, etc. There should be BBQs on the beach. -Rio Grande is not a walkable town and its run down. Consider renting a car for 1 or 2 days. You must know where you are going. Takes like 10 mins to exit out of the resort, so walking to main road will be very long! Ubers are fairly inexpensive. -Did not try, but it seems like reservations recommended for the resort restaurants. Its worth going outside the resort. Overall I would stay again. If you don't want to be in the tourist area(San Juan/Condado), want peace, plan to stay mainly on the resort, this is the place for you. it can work if you want to venture out as well. San Juan/Condado is 20 mins away ($30 to $50 uber ride). Walmart is close by. .

We traveled with our 5 year old for his first trip and for our 8 year anniversary trip! I’ve stayed at many hyatts but was particularly excited for this stay due to the pool, restaurants and property grounds. We did our research prior definitely rent a car , Be prepared you can not get a reservation even two weeks before your vacation for the good places to eat ! When we arrived we were also surprised by a conference that overtook the resort 1000 people to be exact. They took away from the experience of the paying guest as it was presidents club trip ,loud parties outside our room , loud drunk people at the pool , we couldn’t even eat a nice dinner on our anniversary. We did secure a seat at the hibachi restaurant the first night, the chef was not great , sloppy with tricks, the food was extremely salty and we got charged for someone else’s bill over $100 more then ours if we didn’t catch it would have gone unnoticed! Carlos at the pool was a gem he was our favorite server along with the two lady bartenders who looked like they had been there for a while! Food truck was great we basically lived off the hot dogs and room service pizza since we couldn’t eat at the steak house or get reservations anywhere. Brian the manager did listen to our concerns on our last night and made it some what better , the experience was a total bummer considering we have traveled all over the world and received better service sadly at lower stared hotels.
