Little noise from adjacent units, but that was drowned out by the heater/ air conditioner unit right next to bed. For unexplained reason, the air conditioner compresser ran off and on throughout the night, while set for heat only. Other Hotels with this type of unit did not, and were much quieter. Staff could barely communicate, as spoke foreign language.

YOU COULDN'T USE THE SHOWER. I CAN'T BELIEVE SOMEONE HADN'T PREVIOUSLY REPORTED THAT THE SHOWER HANDLE FALLS OFF WHEN YOU TRY TO SHIFT FROM BATH TO SHOWER. I TRIED REPORTING IT TO THE OFFICE IN THE MORNING BUT THE OFFICE WAS CLOSED WHEN I LEFT FOR WORK. ALSO THE KLEENEX BOX HOLDER WAS EMPTY.

I really wanted to like this iconic old motel
This is an old motor court from about 1935. It’s right in a very busy intersection in an industrial area near a 101 off ramp. It’s run by a family with young children who live on the property and they are really trying to keep the place up. The outdoor area and landscaping are in very good condition. The room was clean and was furnished with used hotel-chain furniture which is fine. There was no clock and no hangers, plus the hanging space was over the nightstand. The lighting was iffy. The real problem is the dicey neighborhood. As a woman traveling alone, I didn’t leave my room after dark. I booked this as the cheapest last-minute room in the area. There is a Burger King on one side and a Carl’s Jr. on the other. The semi trucks began rolling by about 5am. This place is okay if you’ll arrive late, sleep, and leave early. Don’t bring kids. On the other hand, most of these old courts are gone so I was glad to have the chance to stay in one, though next time I’ll spend the extra money to stay in a more secure location. When’s the last time a “toilet was sanitized for my protection?”

Thank you for your feedback. We are always trying to improve. We are working with the city and doing are bit to help with not only the San Jose issue but the California issue of homelessness. The area may give a "dangerous" impression, but I assure you it is not. I personally make sure our guest are safe. I hope you do give us another chance.

The place is small but sufficient for my need. It's great that it has microwave. The bathroom water wasn't always hot. It fits the purpose of just staying for the night. Great staff - very polite and respectful (I know, should they all be? In my past experience it is not always the case). The door lock system was a bit clumsy and it didn't seem to work every time. Otherwise, everything was fine.

A good bang for the buck
There is no breakfast or gym,and it's in a bad neighborhood, but the rooms are renovated and it's a good bang for the buck.

What are you doing charging $400????!!! We got the room for 3-4 days and then you try to charge $400 for a room???!!! I need an explanation

I wish I can explain to you. But, I do not know who you are since you responded as anonymous. Recently, we have not charge anyone $400. Our prices are strictly on the market demands.

We do not offer breakfast. We have not advertise that we do. The coffee is complimentary and liked by most of our guests.

산호세라는 곳에서 갑자기 숙박하게 되어 급히 가능한 호텔을 찾게 되어 어쩔 수 없는 선택이었지만, 호텔이라고 하기 민망한 여인숙 수준의 숙박시설 임. 가격도 USD285/일로 싸다고 할 수 없고, cafeteria 등 기본 시설 전혀 없슴. 느낌은 트럭 운전사들이 장거리 운송 중 묵어 가는 곳의 분위기. 한국 4만원짜리 모텔보다 못하다고 보면 됨.

The price you paid of $285 was standard rate in San Jose, on day of your stay. The price for hotel with cafeteria etc. may have been 4 times as much. When you booked, it tells you the amenities we offer, and it does not mention that we have cafeteria. We also do not discriminate, be it truck driver, construction workers, or someone like yourself. We welcome everyone, as long as they do not cause anyone harm. Thank you for your stay.

For a motel in an area with extremely expensive hotels this place is a great deal. The room was very clean and well maintained and the staff was remarkably friendly. The only downside was that it has virtually no amenities, coffee service does not start until 7:00 AM and because road noise is a problem. However, as single story motels go it is a great deal and I do recommend.

Do not stay here.
People who said this was a “decent” place to stay are crazy. The room was dirty, hair on my sheets and in the shower. the sheets were dingy and the pillows looked like they hadn’t been replaced since 1972. It looks like a place that Norman Bates would own. This place makes Motel 6 look like The Ritz. Thumbs way down.

I wish this response was not anonymous, so that we could do more research and takes steps to improve. I believe it is “decent” place. For your information, we have just replaced pillows, bedding, furniture etc. in the past 6 months.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that our staff missed placing towels in the room, but the towels you were given were clean, soft and new. Also, water bottle is available in the office, which you bought but didn't pay since you had left your wallet in the room.

This is very old motel with no phones in the room, no place to hang closes, and not even a shelf in the shower. There is a terrible sewage stench outside and not restaurants nearby. This is a dive and was way, way over priced! Utterly disappointed.

Thank you for the feedback. Our building is "old", however, our rooms are clean and kept up. There are many restaurants nearby within 1 mile. We also provide great customer service as you may have noticed with delivery of your watch. Also, the price of the room for the day were 30 to 40% less than the market price.
