« We loved everything about Rio Mantra. It is a great place to land each night after exploring the wonders of San Ignacio and area. We even cooked in one night. We spent most of our time outside by the pool listening to the sounds of the jungle. A toucan came by several days and a family of parrots made a playful racket. It was great! »

« My husband and I along with 5 friends came to stay at Riverwalk Ranch to enjoy warm weather, go birding and visit Mayan ruins. Elias and Betty made our stay memorable, enjoyable and relaxing. Elias's meals were works of art, the house beautiful, and the pool refreshing. The tours that we booked picked us up at the house which made the day trips very easy. « Our 2 bedroom villa was beautifully furnished with a modern kitchen and gorgeous outdoor space around a private pool. The indoor outdoor shower in the master bedroom was amazing. « This was a great place for a family of seven. The house was clean and accommodating. We loved the privacy of being in the woods all by ourselves. The walk in the reserve was worth it! We were able to stand right under the tree a howler monkey was howling in. There were lots of parrots and we saw toucans, too. We would definitely stay here again! »

« good location to town, but the neighborhood was really noisy at nights (the dogs barking woke us up every night several times) and the windows are not made to keep any sound out. The refrigerator was broke for our entire 5 night stay. We had the use of the dorm size fridge from the lower level but that was not sufficient for a family of 6 for 5 nights, in particular over Christmas when markets were closed for 2 days in a row. « We thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay at Villa Cayo in San Ignacio. It’s hard to beat the hill-top views and waking up to the sounds of the jungle! Virginia was a wonderful host and set up all of our tours. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and made our stay really enjoyable. We definitely recommend the ATM cave tour and the Tikal tour. If you are able, don’t miss these two gems! We stayed in Villa 4, a quiet setting with amazing views. We Villa Cayo a 5-star review. »
