Since I walked foot on the property I noticed unwelcoming stares and the lack of greetings from staff. Yesterday i reported a racial profiling at the pool. Me and my fiancé was there around 11:13 and I made my complain at 12:30. The complaint included, not being serviced or acknowledged during our time at the pool. I had to ask for a menu after seeing this blond young lady deliver a menu to a caucasian family that couldn't even put their stuff down before she greeted them. The young lady was not apologetic at all after expressing my concern to her but only just to hand me a menu saying "oh huh" so I followed the chain of command. The manager said well they dont open til 12. I looked at my watch and it was 12:38. She then to say, well were you in the area. I said absolutely, jacuzzi and pool and I have video with the times. The manager applied a $50 credit for the "inconvenience". That does not fix anything and truly unacceptable. We paid over $600 to stay there and it was not paradise. Additionally, as I was checking out, I had questions about the receipt regarding the San Diego and California tourism assessment fees and the receptionist Pat explained as if I was bothering her. Very rushed. She said we are a taxed state and that's the tax, we can't get away from it, it's listed when you book. Multiple occasions there were spiders crawling on us in the bed. There were just a lot of bugs in the room. Which made the stay uncomfortable. The bedding was also itchy on my skin.

The staff was great and the rooms were clean. Very hard to navigate around property and located right beneath the path of traveling planes and makes a lot of noise.

Great for families with kids, and companies who organize outing or similar activities. Even just laying down at the beach or the pool is a decent nice experience! Just next door to SeaWorld is a plus.

The staff was great and everything was very clean! The only drawback was that the bathrooms were small and dated (but again, clean!). A great place to stay given the price and location, but it would be fantastic if they had larger updated bathrooms.

Been staying here for years. Love the property and the peacefulness. Understanding it’s not peak season, staffing was noticeably short versus stays in the past. If you have cash, make sure to bring change. No one can make change LOL 😂

The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are comfortable & spacious, the free in room coffee is great too. My only complaints are the daily resort & parking fees and the prices at Barefoot being way too much.

They have 3 food places on site, the outside bar staff was great, the indoor restaurant staff didn’t pay attention to our existence, nor did they greet us, they acted like my husband and I weren’t there demographic so we didn’t matter, again the two bar staff we encountered outside were friendly, attentive and took our food orders, I do not drink but they still took care of us.

The staff was kind and responsive. The property itself wasn’t worth the price. I had to be switch rooms due to an ant infestation; then the new rooms keypad broke. For the amount I paid I expected a much better property

We've stayed at Paradise Point three times now with our family of 5. It's a perfect destination for kids: they have a number of fantastic pools that are super family-friendly, fish ponds with ducks and massive koi (and they also provide food for the kids at the front desk!), and really gentle beaches that are great for dipping toes, building sand castles and not having to worry about gigantic waves! We have always stayed at the Bayside Bungalow, which is a separate cottage right on the beach. It has a living room with a small dining table, kitchenette and a separate bedroom with King Size bed and lots of space. The cons: they really nickel and dime you which can get exhausting, especially after you've spent a few hundred on a room. There is a daily resort fee ($40) daily parking ($40), so you're hit with nearly another $100 in daily rates. When you order room service or at the bar, they also don't make it clear what is a tip vs. service fee (and no one seemed to be able to explain the difference! You obviously want to tip your waitress or bartender, but you don't want to end up paying $20 for a can of beer!) Overall, it's a destination we keep coming back to. It's super central to a number of attractions in San Diego, and when you don't feel like being a tourist, it's a great place to come back to and relax. Just be prepared for some hidden fees, especially if you're ordering food.

I could tell our room hadn't been used in a while by the amout of cobwebs and dust.The personal bonfire experience was amazing and something I would definitely recommend. The only issue we received was when we turned on the heater to our room because it was 49 degrees, the heater began to smoke and set of the fire alarm. The room smelled like something was burning, we panicked, turned everything off and notified the front desk. His response to me was was very dismissive and rude. Because the technician had already went home for the day, he offered was to take the batteries out of our smoke detector and bring us extra blankets. I replied to him that I didn't feel safe in a room without a smoke detector and a burning heater. A guy did show up and he informed me to just let it run because it hasn't not been used in a while. We were too scared to turn it back on so we suffered the cold doubled blanketed in a almost $800 a night room like we were at a Motel 6. My best friend, whose birthday we were celebrating thought that it may have been the carbon monoxide detector and didn't want to stay the night. Her father drove in from a neighboring city to personally come and check. When i checked out, the note on the account was that me and my guest were smoking Marijuana in our beach side bungalow with patio and access to a private section of the beach at our front door. I was beyond appalled, embarrassed, and in tears. I have stayed here before but Im not sure if will stay here again.
