« From the outside the Cornish Arms looks just like a local pub, but step inside and you instantly know it is anything but. It is very stylish indeed. Our room which was their standard double room,was very chic and we loved all the furnishings and attention to detail.It had a king size bed with high quality linen and was so comfy. We enjoyed an excellent dinner and breakfast too. »

« Gorgeous old pub in a village setting. Lots of parking. The accommodation buildings are set apart from the pub, and our room was beautiful. Breakfast is served in the pub restaurant- but the landlord will deliver a jug of milk in the morning for use with the tea making facilities. Just make sure the sign outside your door is set to “yes please” for milk! No plastic in sight. We ate at the pub in the evening and the food and service were very good too. »

« We enjoyed a fabulous one night stay at Haveners. Room 2 was luxurious with a large comfy bed, beautifully decorated and a wonderful bathroom with rain head shower. It was just perfect with views of the quayside and water. Lovely to sit and watch the little Polruan ferry coming and going. The staff were amazing, it felt like a much loved family run business rather than a corporate concern. All staff were polite, friendly and helpful and always on hand. « Fantastic friendly service. Big bedroom and bathroom, all very clean. The only slight criticisms would be that the curtains are white and very thin so the room was very light from 5:30am making it hard to sleep. There was also no mirror in the room however front desk staff quickly rectified this by allowing us to take the mirror hung in the corridor, I would recommend leaving that mirror in the room (Room 2). Overall an excellent two night stay. »
