belle ancienne maison avec vue sur la riviere.beeaux exterieurs mais un rafraichissement intérieur est nécessaire ,en particulier les salles de bain très fatiguées et qui ne justifient pas les prix pratiqués.

Comfort dans une maison XVII
Tout près du centre de Salisbury, l'hotel se trouve dans une ruelle tranquille avec parking. Le wi-fi fonctionnait un peu moins. Grande chambre et lit comfortable

Super rapport qualité prix, n'hésitez pas à prendre la chambre exécutive qui donne sur le jardin et la rivière, très grande chambre confortable, bon petit déjeuner, restaurant très correct, la révélation de tout notre périple dans le sud de l'Angleterre. C'est à 15mn en voiture de Stonehenge, et à 10 minutes à pied de la magnifique cathédrale de Salisbury (allez en fin d'après midi à l'evensong c'est très beau) et de la ville. Je le recommande.

Bruyant !!
Nous sommes tombés dans une chambre sans fenêtre, collée à une salle de réception qui accueillait un mariage de 100 personnes. Arrivés a 14h, nous n’avons pas pu avoir d’autre chambre ( même en proposant de payer le supplément). Nous avons dû attendre 23h pour avoir un peu de calme. Chambre et parties communes très sales. Déplacés dans une autre chambre le lendemain, nous avons enfin pu nous reposer. Un repas nous a été offert en dédommagement. Néanmoins, restaurant très convenable et cadre paysager très agréable ( rivière..). A éviter durant les week end !!

A characterful hotel in a great location. Our room was very spacious and in the old part of the hotel, full of old beams and quirky corners. Bed was large and comfortable. Lighting was a bit lacking and because we faced onto the street it was not suitable to have the blinds and curtains open. The restaurant had a great aspect facing onto the river and grounds. Breakfast was OK and fairly standard fayre, but plenty of choice and supply. Staff all very friendly and helpful Very convenient for accessing the city on foot, a pretty walk to the cathedral or the main road to more restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our stay and would happily come again.

This is a fantastic hotel. The location is as convenient as anywhere we have ever been. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was excellent and big. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Sitting out overlooking the river was a delightful experience and belied the fact that we were within a few hundred yards of the town. We could have been deep in beautiful countryside. We would and are recommending t to anyone

This is an opportunity to stay in a gorgeous historic property on the River Avon. The views from every room are stunning. You cannot beat the convenience of walking to ever place you need to visit.

Less than Inspiring
Hotel is tired looking with basic facilities in the rooms. Service was offhand and less than welcoming. The dining room was cold. Breakfast was adequate and the coffee good. Dinner was less than inspiring; large choice on the menu but the food was bland and uninteresting. Major plus point - lovely location by the river.

Great Place to Stay!
What a beautiful and convenient place to stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The property was well kept, the grounds lovely, the food delicious and the rooms comfortable and spacious. Parking was convenient. I would definitely stay again.

Absolutely loved it. A beautiful old place but so relaxing. Receptionist was just lovely too. Will without a doubt be back.

Beautiful setting with view of river amd Cathedral. The room was spacious and clean however a little shabby and dated. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and could do with replacing. It had sunk on both sides where it was so worn. The room was also very noisy. You could hear every word spoken from the room above and every footstep which was not the best at 4am hearing someone use the bathroom. We were also a little annoyed haveing pre booked a table in the restaurant to have been placed in another room to eat which was like sitting in the local village hall. We lived the setting and it could have been so good. Shame.

This is our 4th visit to the Rose and Crown and as previous visits we were made to feel welcome. Staff all lovely and friendly and very helpful. Room was lovely and bed comfortable. We didn’t eat at the hotel this time.
