The Cabin Post Office Ranch est une nouvellement construite (2010) sur une cabane en rondins Angus travail ranch de bétail. Être entouré par des chevaux, des bovins et des vrais cow-boys sur cette tranche authentique du Colorado élevage. Avec plus de 300 acres, l'isolement est pas un problème, ce qui pour une grande observation de la faune. La cabine est adjacente à la rivière Arkansas Sud, et dispose d'un mile de la façade de la rivière, la pêche est un rêve pêcheurs. Nous avons aussi un bel étang de ranch pour la pêche de détente. Le terrain borde terres BLM et se prête à de grandes randonnées. Monarch Ski Resort est à un facile 20 minutes. Nous sommes six miles à l'ouest de Salida Colorado. Vous trouverez de nombreux restaurants et magasins à Salida. Les installations comprennent un lave-linge / sèche-linge, cuisinière électrique, four micro-ondes, lave-vaisselle, réfrigérateur avec machine à glaçons, et de la chaleur poêle à granulés de plancher rayonnant. WiFi a été récemment ajoutée. L'intérieur est décoré dans un thème western merveilleux avec meubles en bois rond, avec des cow-boys les plaques d'interrupteur de la lumière et de la main artistique terminé faits saillants de bois sur les armoires et les meubles. Le plan d'étage spacieuse comprend 2 chambres avec mezzanine, 1 1/2 salles de bains, et un salon avec 32 "HD TV avec lecteur DVD et la télévision par satellite. La cabine peut accueillir confortablement jusqu'à 9 personnes. De la cabine, vous pourrez profiter de vues sur la montagne sur les quatre côtés. L'enrouler autour du pont est un excellent moyen pour se détendre et profiter de la montagne. Nous offrons également un barbecue extérieur et un foyer extérieur authentique. Cute Cabin
My husband and I booked this cabin to stay in while visiting local family. The cabin is well made with a nice porch/ deck. We enjoyed hearing the babbling water nearby and the nice Mountain View. The kitchen was stocked fairly well but I missed not having serving dishes for food and no salad tongs or nice baking sheets or containers for leftovers. We bought foil and ziplock bags and brought our crock pot and steamer from Texas. The ice maker really puts out lots of ice which was great because I drink a lot of iced tea! We used the picnic table and ate outside a lot to savor the weather and view. We utilized the outdoor furniture to sit and read which was nice. The beds were very comfortable. We walked down to the river loving the river views and water sounds. I liked the various wild flowers I saw on my walks. I’d say we enjoyed our stay and got good use out of the cabin.

A really impressive cabin.
We had a great week-long stay. The cabin is beautiful and comfortable. The fixtures and furniture feature a lot of skilled woodworking. We could cook meals in the kitchen area. The main floor has 2 bedrooms with queen beds and 1.5 bathrooms. There are more beds up in the loft that we didn't need. In early summer, we got by pretty well without AC, in part by opening windows at night, but the cabin is also designed well to reduce solar gain in summer. The living area and the big wrap-around deck have gorgeous views of the mountains, and a herd of cows regularly wanders past in the foreground. Laundry is available a quick walk away, in a little building close to a second cabin. Convenient location near the crossroads town of Poncha Springs, just west of Salida. Dean met us upon arrival to make sure we found the right driveway and got down the ranch lanes to the cabin, and was available for any help needed.

Great cabin in a peaceful setting
We loved our short stay! The setting is peaceful and has beautiful views of the mountains. The cabin is amazing with so many crafted log cabin details. It was clean and comfortable. The host met us at the road to guide us to the property and made sure we had everything we needed before leaving us to enjoy our stay.

Nice cabin, very clean with great views off the porch. Easy to find and owners are very accommodating. We had flight issues and didn’t make the 4:00 check in they requested. They called to check in and make sure we will still coming and worked with our late arrival.

Amazing Stay!
I know, I too was skeptical about ALL of the 5-star ratings for Post Office Ranch, but my 15yr old daughter and I stayed there for a week during our ski trip to Monarch Mountain. I will tell you that it is NOT a 5-star hotel, but rather a 5-star EXPERIENCE! I couldn't have picked a better place to stay! Logistically, it is an easy hour from the airport in Gunnison, the perfect distance from town and a short drive to the slopes. The view of the mountain range from the cabin is breathtaking. The river was absolutely beautiful and shallow enough that I didn't have a safety concern for my daughter. The wildlife was plentiful, including a fox and several deer that would come within about 50 yards of the cabin. The horses were very curious and friendly (We named them all on day 2). We received about 2-3 feet of snow on our first day but received a call from the very friendly property owner that morning to let us know that he was plowing the road so we could get out and about later that day. The cabin was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed for the week. It took me several days to stop "Missing" the ranch but really look forward to bringing the rest of the family next year!

We loved our stay! The cabins were the perfect size for our group and located close to Monarch Mountain as well as downtown Salida. The setting is stunning. We were thankful for the back deck views of the valley and mountains.

The cabin is on a working cattle ranch. The view on the back deck was beautiful with mountains, trees and a running water stream. The cabin was clean and the host was available if we needed anything. I would recommend this cabin for a getaway.
