« We spent an idyllic holiday weekend at Cedar Lane with three generations, and it will be a trip we remember forever. We spent hours enjoying the expansive views from the porch and watching the kids play on the lawn, and went for daily runs on the paths behind the house. The house itself is beautifully restored and is full of antiques, Persian rugs and oil paintings. We did day trips to Richmond and local wineries. « The River House was the perfect accommodation for three families that included 6 adults and 5 teens. The layout was great, with beautiful bathrooms in each bedroom and an amazing bunk room for the girls. The views of the river were fantastic in almost every room, but especially in the kitchen, and family room. The owner was super nice and super responsive to all my questions. »

« We had a really wonderful stay at this historic home. Everything was as nice in the pictures as in person and the setting and location was even more beautiful in person. The home was very clean. The sheets and towels were very nice quality and there was plenty of toilet paper and paper towels stocked. The kitchen has everything we needed and was very modern. We highly recommend this place! »

« Our family of 5 and 1 dog met here to spend Thanksgiving together and had a fabulous time! The house and property are absolutely beautiful! Very private and secluded with gorgeous views of the water. The weather was cool but sunny and we really enjoyed the outdoor gas fire pit as well as the beautiful indoor gas fireplace. One of the highlights was a visit one morning from a bald eagle! We hope to someday rent again in the warmer weather to take full advantage of the water activities. »

« Our plan was to visit kings dominion but tropical storm Ophelia had other plans. We spent the entire weekend in a home that showed us love surrounded by an outdoor environment that was spectacular and breathtaking. « The property is easy to access and the house is filled with natural light from the huge windows. It’s a wonderful getaway if you want to unplug and enjoy a cozy few days of quiet. We found a waterfront Mexican restaurant nearby and walked to the winery next door. It’s very clean and the host is very responsive if you have any questions. "we spent one night. The carpets are terrible, the furniture old, the sofa bed unusable because the springs were coming out of the mattress and there was the smell that came with it combined with the extreme smell of chlorine from the swimming pool which smelled all the way to the first floors."
