Un très bon moment
Dans un lieu tres agreable, un vrai havre de paix, nous avons pu passer 4 jours entre visite et temps de repos. Adèle a anticipé toutes nos demandes avec une grande discrétion. Un lieu à conseiller.

C'était parfait !!
Très bon accueil d'Adele, le cottage est très joli, très propre agréable et très bien équipé. Nous y avons séjourné à trois couples, c'était parfait. Le site est un paradis de nature, vraiment au calme et en harmonie avec les animaux. Nous espérons revenir une autre fois avec le soleil et profiter de la piscine. Thanks for All

Very nice
Welcoming home and owners, clean and good facilities. We found almost everything we needed for cooking, cleaning products etc. Comfortable beds. Big garden close to the house with barbeque, pool and children facilities perfect for the day, and also a smaller courtyard in front of the house. Perfect location to enjoy some quiet time in the countryside.Reasonable distance to the beach, other attractions and shops.

Super séjour en cette période de covid
Bien que le logement soit situé en plein centre de Bretagne ceci nous a permis de sillonner le Sud et le Nord de Bretagne pour découvrir ce pays magnifique. Juste une petite remarque : pas de connexion Mobile sur réseau Orange. Le débit de wifi est un peu juste. Mais ceci n'altère en rien à notre séjour. Merci pour votre acceuil

Nous avons séjourné dans une très belle et très agréable maison bretonne. Tout nous a satisfait, autant dans la maison qu’à l’extérieur (belle pelouse et piscine chauffée avec un bel équipement) La qualité d’accueil des propriétaires a tout à fait été à la hauteur des descriptions figurant sur le site Homelidays. L’équipement intérieur est parfait et la qualité de la prestation globale mérite d’être soulignée. En résumé : un havre de tranquillité au cœur des Côtes d’Armor, adapté à des familles ou adultes en quête de déconnexion, situé à 30 minutes de St Brieux. Bravo et merci à Adele et Andy les heureux propriétaires. Nous recommandons sans réserve cette location et comptons y revenir

Nous avons apprécié le calme de la campagne (réveil par les petits oiseaux) et le confort de la maison. Tout est là pour des vacances reposantes avec un prime le soleil pour profiter de la piscine et de l'extérieur. Had a great few days there. 7 of us stayed, house was lovely and the outside area was even better. Nice clean pool, decking and bbq area and a large beautiful garden for the kids to play in. Lovely stay!
We had a great stay at the guesthouse of Adele and Andy. They are very good hosts and the house and the environment are very nice! Unfortunately we didn't have very good weather, so we only jumped in the pool once, but its a great pool! In the house there is a lot of equipment in the kitchen, which is very nice. The only thing we found a bit unfortunately is the fact the matrasses were with springs.

Schön war´s!
Sehr gemütliches, komplett ausgestattetes und sehr gut gepflegtes Ferienhaus mit tollem Grundstück. Der Pool ist wohl geheizt und liegt an einer sehr schönen, großzügigen Terrasse, auch alles super gepflegt. Für Kinder ein Paradies! Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Erholung in eine zauberhafte Umgebung
Wir hatten 12 wunderbare Tage in Saint-Martin-des-Pres verbracht. Die Lage des Hauses ist mitten in eine Landschaft von sanften Hügeln gelegen wo der Wind nicht mehr ganz so kräftig weht wie an der Küste. Für einen Familienurlaub hat man alles da. Spiele und Spielzeuge und einen großen Garten wo die Kinder sich nach Herzenslust austoben können. Unsere Kinder hatten sich auch mit den Hühnern angefreundet, die sie auch füttern durften. Der Pool ist wirklich toll und das Wasser ist immer schön warm (ein Vorteil der Strompreise in Frankreich). Die Sehenswürdigkeiten der Gegend sind mit dem Auto auch gut erreichbar. Ob die Steinreihen von Carnac oder die Strände rund um Quimper, der Dinopark in Malansac, die Altstadt von St. Malo oder die Insel Brehat, alles ist sehr gut erreichbar und die Hygienevorschriften, werden an diesen Orten auch gut eingehalten. Und nicht zuletzt, sind die englischsprachige Vermieter des Hauses, wirklich sehr nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Neben dem Willkommensgeschenk durften wir auch das Gemüse aus dem eigenen Garten probieren. Also, eine ganz klare Empfehlung und alle Daumen hoch!

The Mannion and Peel Holiday 2019
Communication before our holiday was great. On arriving at the property we were greeted by The owners who couldn’t have been more welcoming. They were very informative on things going on around the village and pretty places to visit. The Gite itself is a great size for our 2 families and it well equip, it is in an amazing setting, The garden area is beautiful, you could spent hours sitting there watching the birds. We had a few days out Binic is a lovely harbour town with a nice beach only and 35 minutes away. Lac de Guerlédan a lovely man made beach, only 15 mins away, lovely scenery, they had a boat trip around the lake which unfortunately we missed. St Malo was definitely worth the hour and a half drive, lots of shops, restaurants, beach and historical views. We spent a couple of days around the Gite as we all needed a couple of relaxing days. The pool is lovely, the kids had good use of this. This is one of our top 3 favourite holidays and are hoping to revisit one day. Highly recommended

Family holiday in Brittany
We were a family of 5 adults and 2 children who spent a very enjoyable week at Saint-Martin-des-Pres. The house is set in a very peaceful location, it is quite remote and there aren't any bars or restaurants within walking distance but we were aware of this before visiting so were prepared to drive out to local towns and villages. Within 15-20 minutes there are numerous towns and villages to visit to enjoy some Breton hospitality. We would recommend a visit to Binic about 45 minutes away on the northern coast which has 2 good beaches and a good selection of restaurants and bars. The house is very comfortable and very well appointed with all the necessary crockery, glassware etc that is needed. It was a nice touch that everyone staying was provided with 2 towels and all the beds were made up on arrival. The garden is excellent, very spacious and well maintained with swingball, badminton, boules and a good swimming pool that the children in particular enjoyed. The three ponds in the garden with the many frogs were very entertaining and despite many repeated attempts it was nigh on impossible to sneak up on them before they spotted you and leapt into the water. Andrew and Adele were very friendly and welcoming and whilst their own home is also on site they were not at all intrusive but were on hand as and when required. They also collected the rubbish and recycling every day from the bins outside the house. With 5 adults drinking beer and wine it was good not to see an embarrassingly large mountain of bottles accumulate over the week! If you are looking for a lovely peaceful holiday in an attractive and comfortable setting then I would highly recommend a visit to this property.

Fantastic week!
We had a wonderful week making use of the pool everyday. We had two children under 4 so the space outside for them to run around was brilliant along with the extra games Adele and Andy had provided. Adele and Andy were extremely friendly and were very accommodating by providing little extras during our stay such as happy birthday banners for my mums birthday and charcoal for a bbq. We had an amazing week in the cottage and there was plenty for us to explore in the surrounding areas. A lovely quiet area of Brittany with a well equipped cottage for a holiday in France.

Erholung pur in wunderschöner Idylle
Bei unserer Anreise wurden wir sehr warmherzig von der Gastgeberin begrüßt. Im Haus standen Kaffee, kleine Kuchen und eine Flasche Wein für uns bereit. Das Haus ist wunderschön und sehr gepflegt. Die Räume sind liebevoll eingerichtet und es fehlt wirklich an gar nichts. Sogar Badehandtücher und zahlreiche Spiele sind vorhanden. Das Haus liegt sehr abgeschieden, dafür hat man absolut seine Ruhe. Auf der Terrasse am Pool konnte man hervorragend relaxen und abschalten. Hier stehen gemütliche Sitzgelegenheiten zur Verfügung. Das Wasser im Pool hatte zwischen 23 und 26 °C. Vor allem unsere Kinder hatten hier beim Baden großen Spaß. Auch die riesige Wiese mit Schaukeln und verschiedenen Spielangeboten kam sehr gut an. Die äußerst freundliche und offene Gastgeberin wohnt im Haus nebenan. Bereits nach ein paar Minuten fühlt man sich total wohl und herzlich willkommen bei ihr. Man konnte sich jederzeit für Ausflugtipps an Adele wenden. Sie selbst hielt sich im Hintergrund und war nie aufdringlich. Es lag ihr sehr am Herzen, dass wir einen tollen Urlaub haben und jeden Tag genießen. Und genau das konnten wir. Ich kann diese Unterkunft wirklich jedem empfehlen, der seinen Urlaub in Ruhe mit seiner Familie verbringen will.

The cottage was beautiful and clean with everything we needed to enjoy our 14 nights.
From the second we arrived we felt so very welcome and relaxed. Adele and Andy were so helpful and made our stay perfect. Our sons have ASD and find a lot of situations difficult but they had such a relaxing holiday and that means the world to us. We always felt that we were in a home from home. The pool area and gardens were beautiful and lovely to sit and relax and just enjoy the peace. We will definitely be returning. A little piece of heaven in France .

Idyllic!
The cottage is located in a very peaceful, rural setting. My husband and I loved this! The cottage itself is lovely and very well equipped. This is my first holiday let where things like bin bags, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, salt, pepper, tea bags, coffee, etc were supplied.. this was brilliant; it made it so easy to settle in. Adele was just as the other reviewers have commented - very friendly and really helpful. She manages to balance this well so that we still felt that we had our privacy. The main external seating area is just across the lane next to the swimming pool. This was a lovely place to spend time, particularly at the beginning of the week when temperatures were very high. The teenagers enjoyed the pool and also the recently purchased swingball and badminton sets. Location wise, we (The oldies) loved it. After the first few days the teenagers perhaps would have preferred to be closer to some other civilisation as they were reliant on the drivers (us) to let them access shops, etc. However, excellent wifi access certainly meant the teenage brains could be occupied when it was not hot enough to use the pool. Quintin has a number of supermarkets to supply food and drink needs. It is also a pretty town to explore if you venture beyond Eclerc. We quite like going on jaunts, not all of which were on the doorstep... The beach at Baule Escoblac.. Lovely beach, shopping area - a bit pricey in places. Dinan - despite the rain we enjoyed visiting the Thursday market and wandered round this lovely old town. We discovered a gem of a place La Poterie... the owner was very helpful and friendly. We initially popped in for drinks and toilet use and ended up eating there. The food may not be to everyone's taste.. an Argentinian/French mix but my husband loved it... possibly linked to the jazz music playing in the background! We jaunted to visit the Robert Tatin museum..just over 2 hours from where we were staying. It was well worth it though... it is a most unusual place..the artist lived from the age of 61 and built the museum around him... it is fantastical... huge giant sculptures, amazing artwork. The staff could not have been more helpful. Excellent price.. 6 Euro entry plus 1 Euro 50 to visit the artist's house.. Amazing! A real must visit place. Anyhow, regardless of the longer jaunts, rural Brittany remains one of our favourite places to visit and Adele and Andrew's cottage provided a friendly comfortable stay for us all.

Heerlijke vakantie, gastvrij ontvangen
Een heerlijk rustig gelegen vakantiehuisje voorzien van alle comfort. Het zwembad was een grote meerwaarde, daar hebben we met het hele gezin enorm van genoten. We zijn met open armen en heel gastvrij ontvangen door twee hele vriendelijke mensen waarvoor dank. Alles was piekfijn in orde. Mooi omgeving. We hebben genoten van een heerlijk ontspannen vakantie met ons hele gezin.

Very pleasant 4 bed barn conversion. Well presented and equipped for comfortable stay. 3 beds up stairs and 1 double off the lounge/diner. Owners across the way in courtyard and very amenable and willing to help at all levels. Adele always asking if everything was OK. Very peaceful and very rural. You will need a car as accommodation is on its own with nothing around excepting the lovely countryside (you can see that on googlemaps). Saint Martin des Pres is nearest village with small bar and Patisserie/Boulangerie which was open every morning, about 5 min drive. Small well maintained pool, in pleasant recreational area, which was still 24 deg mid October. Nice country surrounds. Nearest supermarket/town is Mur de Bretagne about 10-15 minutes drive and Pontivey about 25 mins has all you need with Hypermarkets etc etc. Well located for exploring Brittany and reasonably priced. Would return.

Peace and quiet in lovely surroundings.
We stayed for two weeks with Adele and Andy, and enjoyed every aspect of their beautiful gite. Our party consisted of us grandparents , parents and three small children. The quality of the fixtures and fittings was superb , and all the bedrooms were well turned out. Plenty of space for everyone in the evening. Everyone enjoyed a daily dip in the pool - a great acquisition!! The surroundings were so peaceful when we ate outside in the evenings. The gite has everything to recommend it to all ages. .

wonderful place
We loved our stay in this beautiful house and specially the quiet and rural setting. The views are wide and lovely. This is one of those places where you find yourself in a beter picture than expected beforehand. Thank you again Andy an Adele for your warm welcome and service during our stay. We loved the home-grown cucumber and tomatoes. Kind regards from Andor, Inge and our kids Saar and Tom, from the Netherlands.

Relaxing vacation!
Beautiful surroundings, lovely accommodation and Adele and Andrew are great hosts! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property to anyone who wants a peaceful, relaxing vacation in the Brittany countryside.
