« Had a few days in The Lakes while visiting family in the UK and attending the Oasis concert in London. We could not have been happier with The Ambleside Inn - totally excellent stay. Great location, wonderful staff (thank you) and although no onsite parking there are lots very close to the Inn and the short stay (30 min) drop off is right outside. « Our room was on ground floor with a hot tub. Facilities were good and the bed was very comfortable. Some elements were a little tired. Staff were outstanding and responsive to all requests and questions. Nice dining area and presentation. Great central location to Grasmere village. Our only issue is that parking can be a lottery - but staff were happy to help. »

« This is a decent place to stay if you go in with expectations in check. It’s roomy and cozy, with conveniences like a washer/dryer, dishwasher, stove/oven/microwave, and some cooking equipment. Lighting is good, lots of outlets is a plus. Internet functions fine, don’t expect blazing speed but certainly adequate. Easy access to dumpsters/recycling is also great.
