Hôtels près du Bois semi-privé Dora's Field à Ambleside

« A beautifully decorated house, extremely clean and well appointed with tea, coffe and biscuits in rooms. Breakfast is outstanding with local produce and home made muesli and fruit salad, plus award winning marmalade made by Giles. Plenty of parking and a short walk to the centre of town. Andrea is cheerful, efficient and caring at breakfast time »

« Perfect location and the breakfast was beautiful. Thank you »

« An amazing location and room. Great breakfast and convenient to walkable and drivable Lake District attractions. »

« The the property and gardens, of course are phenomenal. This is an older. estate property so some issues can be expected with the conditions of the finishes. Unfortunately, with us being seniors, it was very difficult for us to get our luggage to the third floor by stairs. The size of the rooms are also quite small but clean. Furniture in the room was appropriate for the period and comfortable. The staff was very helpful in trying to resolve outside issues such as Parking in town which is not...

« Due to circumstances beyond our control we were forced to cancel our reservation at the hotel, which we did by telephone four days before our expected arrival. When the hotel refused to refund our prepayment, we asked for a raincheck, which they didn't even answer. »

« Nice stay, Lovely staff. »

« Rothay Manor was a beautiful and idyllic setting for our Lake District journey. The grounds, rooms, food and spaces were absolutely gorgeous, and the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. 10/10 can't wait to return! »

« Room was comfortable especially the bed and plenty of storage close to local shops and buses. Very nice thanks you x »

« Lit très inconfortable. Personnel peu connaissant de la région et des activités. Restaurant fine dinning très moyen. Bon côté et le site dans un beau petit village et la piscine/sauna. »

« Lovely flat in an excellent location. »

« Quaysiders resort is an apartment/hotel right by the upper side of Lake Windermere in Ambleside. It is in an absolutely perfect location close to the lake, shops, restaurants. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with a kitchen that had all kitchen amenities. Our Apartment was very clean and spacious . There is an indoor pool that was warm and it can also be like a Jacuzzi. There is also a Sauna. The resort also has a laundry room and dryer so I was able to do my laundry while on our stay. The...

« Pros - good location. Short walk into town. Room clean, modern & spacious. Self check in with good clear instruction prior to arrival. Cons - Car park full so had to pay for parking on car park next door. No plates at breakfast only cardboard dishes which made it difficult to butter toast as the bread wouldn't fit in the dish. Would definately stay here again though & just maybe arrive earlier to get a parking space. »
