Great for large groups

GiGi's 80th Birthday!

Family from multiple states came for a reunion to celebrate our matriarch's 80th birthday. Property was perfect for the occassion. Had a wonderful time and made lots of memories for multiple generations.

Great stay in Ruidoso

We had a great trip to Ruidoso! The house was very clean and spacious and the kids really enjoyed pool and shuffleboard in the basement. Kitchens were well appointed and beds were very comfortable. Note that there isn't much flat yard space for yard activities, and there aren't many board/card games in the house so BYO.

Overall, this place was spacious and facilitating. We ran into plumbing issues the very first night that caused an upstairs bathroom and a downstairs bathroom to be no unusable. One bed frame in an upstairs bedroom needed repair These things should have been taken care of before we showed up. Other than that, we enjoyed ourselves and had a good time.

Guys golf trip

Property was great. We are planning on staying next year for our annual golf outing. Also we talked about a late summer vacation with the wives. Central location to everything Ruidoso has to offer. Lots of space and privacy

Pros and Cons

First, James the property manager was fabulous and very responsive. We had some electrical issues and he got it fixed quickly. House is huge, really 2 houses in two stories. However, I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the house. The floor was gross-our feet were black. Bathrooms seemed to be very lightly cleaned- a ton of hair on floor, sinks and showers. Disgusting. The towels are very small, the bath mats are very gross/old and overall I can not believe we paid the high price we did to stay at a home that wasn’t cleaned well. Hopping the property can get a better cleaning staff because this house is great for large groups.

Great property for large groups

The home was very spacious, well maintained, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a group of 26. Having two kitchens and bathrooms attached to most of the bedrooms was a lifesaver. We also loved the large living room for our whole group gatherings, as there was plenty of room. We will be reserving this property again for our next retreat if it's available. On a side note, the owner of the home was very accommodating and easy to get into contact with.

We couldn't have been happier

Our church women's group had a two night retreat! There were 18 of us and we had plenty of room. The cabin and decor is absolutely beautiful. We were comfortable with everything from bedding, bathroom, living area and kitchen.... not to mention the beautiful deck. We hope to make it an annual event. The host was available and cordial for a few questions we had. We highly recommend this for any large group gatherings. Perfect place for a family reunion!

Started Great but ended Bad

Upon entry, the cabin was sparkling clean and even the aroma of cleanliness hit you as you walked through the doors. The amount of space in this cabin is awesome, especially with a large group. Everyone had their own space. We never felt crammed at all! We all had a great time until about 3 days into our stay and around 7 people out of our party came down with nausea, vomiting, headaches and upset stomach. We had no energy and were unable to celebrate Christmas like we had hoped and planned. We chalked it up to maybe catching a stomach bug. Now more and more of our party is reportedly sick after just arriving home one day later. Another family, who had stayed in this cabin a week prior to us , also came down with the exact same symptoms. I’m not sure if there is a gas leakage, unsanitary conditions, mold or what.. but I would hate for the next family to have the same experience that we had. We missed out on our plans due to being sick. It’s really sad because the cabin is 100% perfect besides the cause for illness. Hopefully this will be looked into.

Grand parents, adult children, and grandchildren had plenty of room to spread out. Great location! Easy to find! We had a great pre-holiday family gathering. We look forward to coming back.
