Beau séjour
Merci à Marion pour tous ses conseils avant notre voyage et à Tanguy pour toute son assistance et ses conseils sur place. Nous étions 4 (2 adultes et 2 adolescents) et tout le monde a trouvé sa place. Roussillon se visite en fin de journée lorsque les touristes ont quitté le village. C’est une situation idéale pour visiter les alentours. Malgré 2 journées de fortes chaleurs la maison est restée fraîche (maison en pierres et des ventilateurs à disposition).

Séjour Parfait
La maison est atypique et jolie. Située dans un des plus beau village de la région. De belles chambres avec une literie +++, la pièce principale est grande et très agréable, la terrasse a une vue magnifique, et la déco de toutes les pièces est harmonieuse. La situation du village permet de nombreuses visites aux alentours (très appréciable avec le couvre feux). Il y a aussi tous les commerces utiles. Un grand merci à Tanguy pour ces conseils.

We have windows which give on private courtyard and it’s a house built with thick walls to keep you cool in summer and warm in winter. I m surprised you suffered from humidity. But this is a hot summer for sure !

Perfect house in perfect location
If I could live here, I would! Beautiful area around and in Roussillon. This home is in the center. Spacious rooms and awesome patio and view from kitchen window. Short walk to bakery and shops. We loved our stay there.

Absolutely Lovely
This rental was perfect for our group of four. The terrace is comfortable and the view is exquisite. The furniture is comfortable and the appliances all worked perfectly. We loved using the kitchen to cook up our market purchases. The concierge service helped us find and book some activities in the Provence area, which was so nice and helpful! Roussillon is a beautiful town and we felt so lucky for it to be our home base while exploring Provence. The hosts are extremely helpful and kind!

Great Location and Property
My wife and I stayed at Marion’s home for 8 nights. There are so many positives to highlight — The location is in the heart of Roussillon. The home is very spacious and bright. The patio is large and has a beautiful view, and the appliances are new. We appreciated the high level of communication with Marion and Sophie when checking in, when we had questions during our stay, and when departing. We recommend this home.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in Ihrem Haus sehr genossen! Im Sommer und Herbst hatten wir einen tollen Urlaub. Ihr Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was wir brauchen. Die Einrichtung ist sehr geschmackvoll. Die Lage im Dorf ist atemberaubend, ebenso wie die Aussicht von der Terrasse. Es ist ein ausgezeichneter "Ausgangspunkt", um die Umgebung zu erkunden. A wonderful house!
We had a small family get together in this very centrally located house with the most gorgeous views. Everything was as described and more. Didn’t have that sterile feeling of some vacation rentals, but rather a very well thought-out and well-loved home, with cute details everywhere. The house stayed nice and comfortable even as there was a bit of a heatwave during our stay - we didn’t even need the fans (which are in every room). The huge patio was fantastic, it’s partially covered so it’s comfy even in the middle of the day. Marion was very helpful before and throughout our stay and she responds very quickly to any inquiries. We highly recommend!

A Return to Roussillon
We recently spent 2 weeks at this house, returning after 2 weeks there 5 years ago. Sophie, our in person contact, was most personnable and helpful with our check-in and check-out. This house is in a perfect location in the village just steps away from cafés and shops. Even though the temperatures were exceptionally high the lower level of the house remained cool all day. Fans were helpful on the main level, but keeping windows closed during the day made them almost unnecessary. We have now rented this home 5 times over the past 20 years. We love Roussillon, the surrounding villages and towns, and would not hesitate to return again.

Perfection in Provence
Lovely decorated historic home, with many personal touches, in one of the most beautiful villages of the Luberon. We especially enjoyed sunrises and relaxing evening dinners on the terrace. Despite the unseasonably hot temperatures during our stay, the evening breezes and fans in every room kept us quite comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

Marion is awesome!
I worked with Marion as our family made preparations for our family trip. She gave us a wealth of great dining alternatives and outings in Roussillon and the area. Unfortunately, we were unable to travel to France due to the corona virus. Marion was so understanding of our situation and worked with us to find a resolution. I am so grateful to her and will definitely be ringing her again when I re-book our family visit to Roussillon.

A little piece of heaven
This 200 year old villa is perfectly situated in the heart of Roussillon just beside the church. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable with fantastic views. Roussillon is super busy during the day but the villa was always peaceful. It was perfect for our family of 4. Thank you Marion!

Beautiful views in a lovely villa
We loved our stay in Roussillon. The host was very kind and responded quickly to my many questions throughout the planning process, and the property managers were very warm and accommodating. The home exceeded our expectations and was spacious enough for the five of us (2 adults and 3 teens) to spread out. The decor has been thoughtfully planned and executed tastefully, to create a relaxing environment. And of course- the view!- absolutely breathtaking. We are thankful to have found such a wonderful place to spend our time in Provence and hope to return in the future.

Great location in a lovely hilltop village
This unit is well situated in the heart of Roussillon, a lovely hilltop village. While one of the more touristy villages in the area, the village was still very quiet and peaceful, especially in the evenings.

The Perfect Getaway!
We were there on a girls trip, and this was the perfect getaway spot for us!! What a little paradise! The home is beautiful, clean, full of original character yet equipped with everything you need! Lovely place, perfect for us
My group of four female friends really enjoyed Maison de Ochre in Roussillon. The space worked great for us, and we appreciated that there was plenty of indoor seating space, as well as the beautiful terrace, which we enjoyed every morning for coffee and every evening for some wine and to recount our adventures. The pictures are not adequate for the truly astounding setting. Roussillon is a charming little village, and we enjoyed just walking around and exploring it. The town was a good hub for trips to neighboring villages, as well as heading into Arles and Avignon on other days. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped and we had a great time. I would certainly recommend it for a lovely stay.

Awesome! Your home became “our” home in the South of France.
We stayed with another couple. Your house was perfect and had everything we needed, you have decorated it beautifully (and so “very FRENCH!” Parking was easy! The town was well located for our day trips. Each day we ate breakfast on the terrace and at nite we had wine on the terrace. Sunsets were beautiful. We could send a lifetime here. Thank you Marion for making this trip so easy and exciting. We have all enjoyed it!

The house is lovely and extremely well situated, and had all the conveniences we needed. JR was terrific, and we appreciated all his help. The only problem that we encountered was the bathroom situation with the 2nd full bath being split between the 2 levels. That got to be a problem for anyone who was staying in the upper bedroom. Thank goodness for JR and the fans, as it became very hot over the week. 🤪Thank you again for allowing us to stay.... it was beautiful! Cheers!😄

I m confused by your comment for the bathroom.... We have a full bathroom with 2 sinks for the 2 bedrooms downstairs and a full bathroom ( shower and sink in bedroom and restroom same level as bedroom ) for the bedroom upstairs.

A wonderful week in Roussillon!
We absolutely loved Roussillon and our house, Maison Ocre. The village is gorgeous, small and a good base to explore Provence. Maison Ocre was spacious (plenty of room for 2 couples), and located just off the town square. It had everything for a comfortable stay. I should mention, however, that the church bells chime twice, so that at midnight you get 24 chimes! And the bell tower is just above the house. It did not really bother us, but it might if you are a light sleeper.

Superb location with amazing views!
Classic Provence bungalow with lots of room for our adult family of 4, perfectly maintained and very well equipped. The large partially covered terrace provided mesmerizing views through-out the day and Marion was always accessible to help coordinate arrival. The location in the village could not have been better. A perfect spot to anchor yourself for either multiple day trips throughout the country-side or just simply relax and wander through the village of Rousillon. Overall a true 5-star experience and highly recommendable!

lovely comfortable property
Property is immensely comfortable, great beds, well equipped, beautiful aspect from the terrace, and a perfect situation right in the centre of the village, a few seconds from shops and church, yet in the downstairs bedrooms so quiet that you would never guess it. We appreciated too the warm welcome and efficiency of Jean-Raphael and Camille who greeted us, and showed us the excellent parking arrangement.

A little ochre jewel!
We did know from books that Roussillon was a little ochre jewel, but never in our wildest dreams did we ever dare think that our stay would be so enjoyable!!! Of all the towns we visited this one was the prettiest, the most well kept and the coziest. The gem amidst the jewel is La Ville Ochre. It is beautifully decorated and well appointed. The views from the bedrooms is unbeatable.... and breakfast in the terrace was so enjoyable, especially with croissants, pain au chocolat and fresh baguettes available a short walking distance! The beds are comfortable, with wonderful quality linens and pillows. The modern bathrooms make an interesting counterpoint with the rustic, white walls. The towels are luxurious! The terrace has a wonderful view and the house is exceptionally well located, just a few meters from the center of the village, but still quiet. The house is on a pedestrian road, so there are no sounds of cars at all! Also appreciated was the free parking, which in the Provence seems to be a commodity! Beware: there is no air conditioning, but there are fans in all the bedrooms. We visited Roussillon and Provence at the beginning of Aug 2017, and it was unusually very hot. With the fans, and temps cooling in the evening it was most agreeable... so most of the time AC is probably not necessary. Thank you, Marion, for our memorable vacation lodging!! All through the trip we realized we were so luck to choose Roussillon and in particular La Ville Ochre as our base to visit Provence !!

I would highly ecommend this property!
This home has it all: prime location in a picturesque village, unobstructed views from the terrace, steps to restaurants and shops, and all the amenties necessary for an enjoyable stay. We had spent 3 previous visits at this home before the recent renovation and have found the transformation very well done. We would not hesitate to return!

Great Vacation Perfect Location in the Heart of Roussillon
We stayed for a week and had a great time. The house is in the center of the village just steps from all the wonderful restaurants, cafés and shops. The house is perfectly proportioned with a nice kitchen open to the living room. Just off the kitchen is a large deck with patio furniture that features a panoramic view of the entire valley. The house has three nice bedrooms and multiple bathrooms. From this location, it is easy to travel through the valley to the other quaint villages, a short drive to visit Avignon which was wonderful and we walked to the Oche hike in town to marvel at the wonderful colors. We enjoyed the apartment very much. It is spacious, in the middle of the village of Roussillon, within meters of several restaurants and shops, and yet very private and quiet. It is clean, very well-maintained, and comfortable. The management team turned over everything in a seamless manner and were very accommodating. We were pleased and would highly recommend this stay to anyone. We would consider staying there again.

A great property in a great location: highly recommended
We’ve rented plenty of holiday properties over the years – and Maison Ocre proved to be one of the best. It’s a lovely spot, just a stone’s throw from the village square (tourist-heavy by day, much more local in the evening). The location is very quiet, but the baker, the butcher and the small supermarket are just a short stroll away. Half a dozen cafes and restaurants are virtually on the doorstep. The large terrace comes with a great view, plenty of seating and a big table for shady/under-cover al-fresco dining. The interior of the house is full of style and character, well-furnished and very well-equipped: it looks and feels like a fairly chic home, not a holiday-let. It was all impressively clean when we checked in – and Jean-Raphael & Camille, who look after the property for the owners, were friendly, helpful and easy-to-contact. There was a serious heatwave during our stay, so (despite the fans provided) the upstairs living area did get pretty warm. As a result, we made full use of the terrace – while the thick-walled downstairs master-bedroom always stayed cool, so sleeping was never a problem. The free access to a parking area reserved for residents is an extra bonus: Roussillon is an excellent base for the region, so you’re bound to be making use of your car. As you’d expect in an old hilltop village, getting your baggage to the house on first arrival can be a bit of a hassle and quite hard work unless you’re travelling light – but it’s absolutely worth the effort: this is a great place to stay.

Great location, charming, lots of light!
This is a great house, right in the heart of beautiful ocre-colored Roussillon, and steps from lots of great restaurants, a small grocery store, bakery, and unique shops. The large patio/terrace has a fantastic view, kitchen and living area is spacious and airy. Bedrooms are comfortable, with downstairs sharing a full bath, and the ground floor bedroom having an ensuite shower and sink, and the toilet just off the kitchen. Lots of steps, as is common in these village houses, but everything is well-done in this house. Very nice to have a washing machine and dryer in the house as well! We were welcomed onsite and shown where to park (a private area for villagers) and then shown all the specifics on the house by a charming French couple who spoke great English. I highly recommend this wonderful house to anyone wanting to enjoy the comforts of home in one of the most beautiful villages in Provence.

Beautiful property, perfect location in the heart of the village.
Three of us stayed in this beautiful property. There was plenty of space, the furnishings were chic and comfortable, and we loved the open layout of the main floor. It was wintertime so we didn't really have a chance to appreciate the terrace during this stay. However, it was absolutely lovely one of the compelling reasons to rent this property again in the summertime. Although it was winter and the weather was cold, we were warm and cozy inside. The kitchen was well-appointed and had everything we needed, including a Nespresso machine. We appreciated that Jean-Raphael, the property manager, was prompt, friendly and helpful. Marion, the property owner, was nice and helpful, as well, providing great communication during and after the booking process. The price was very reasonable. We can't wait to go back!

A lovely house
We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay in Roussillon. The village is interesting and it's conveniently located for trips further afield. We went to Cassiss and Grasse and Grenoble in easy day trips.Parking is not an issue, all very civilised. We were there in November so there were no eating out options in the village but the supermarket in Apt has everything you could possibly need. The terrace view is really remarkable, while we were there it did actually snow on Mt Ventoux and we watched the snow melt day by day. The firm that manages the property is very efficient and punctual.

Thank you for your kind comments ! Yes indeed November is a different pace in the south of France. We get to know our Farmers markets better during this season ;-). This is the time when cities like Avignon and Cavaillon close by make a nice visit for going out ! And yes Cassis, Marseille, Grasse are amazing places to visit too !

Wonderful Location, Beautiful and comfortable property
I stayed in this lovely home for 7 days with 2 other girlfriends. We each had our own bedroom and bath with very comfortable beds and wonderful bedding. In fact, we asked the owner how to purchase this bedding for our homes. Her property manager met us in town and showed us to the parking area. We walked about 1-2 blocks to reach the property which is near the town clock tower. I loved the hourly chiming of the tower bells, but if it would bother you, I would recommend bringing earplugs. We could (and frequently did) easily walk to wonderful restaurants, the pharmacy, boulangerie, art and boutique stores and the mini market. There is a nice walk along the ochre hills that starts in this village. This is a great location to explore the nearby historic hilltop towns as well as the ochre hills. There is a list of the towns with days of the week for the local markets and I would NOT miss the ones they recommended. They are great for fresh local foods, produce, household items, linens, photography, etc! Almost daily we got fresh produce and had entertaining meals at home on the outdoor patio overlooking the valley. WOW!!! I would highly recommend a stay at this fabulous home in Roussillon. And enjoy the tasty rose wine for the local region.

Delightfull property. Ideal location
Lovely apartment in ideal location. Comfortably furnished and delightful to spend a few days away from hotels. Good base from which to explore Provence. Definetly recommend!

Fantastic house in beautiful hilltop village
Wonderful, comfortable and spacious village house in one of France's Most Attractive Villages. The view from the terrace towards Mount Ventoux was so beautiful. We particularly enjoyed being right in the centre of the Ocre village. We were lucky to see the lavender fields at maximum beauty including the spectacular Abbeye de Senanque. We were welcomed by Jean Raphael and shown the private parking, which was very useful in this popular village. I would unhesitatingly return to the Maison d'Ocre if I return to Roussillon.
