Central Location to places we want to visits on our wine trip. Yurts were fun and interesting. However very warm during mid day. Also they are not very good at keeping sound of other guests down. These are the reasons for 4 out of 5. The property owner Katherine was very help and responsive. Great customer service.

There surely is still the "camping" aspect of being in a yurt that most of our guests do not mind experiencing on the whole. If these things are a concern to other travelers, I suggest you stay in the house where there is AC and foot-thick walls and concrete floors. We have so much to offer our guests in all areas.

Wonderful weekend!
We had a very relaxing and wonderful time at the Manor. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfasts were delicious. The grounds were beautiful.

The yurts are very cool and give you a lot of space for the money. The boat house and dock were fantastic- very well set up with lots of extra amenities for you to try. The fire pit was well stocked and the dock was beautiful to sit on and watch the sunset. We very much enjoyed the tranquility of the manor and the view overlooking the lake. Had a great weekend and we enjoyed trying out the yurts for something different and fun.

Expedia needs to make sure that all its properties are at very least, acceptable. This place was literally like being in a 1960s bad motel. Very shocking at the lack of safety. The room we were given was so small. The bed was squeaky and if it wasn’t for sleeping pills that luckily we found in our bag, there is no way we could sleep with the damn noise. No TV in the room. OLD, OLD furniture. It has no central air. The bathroom was outside our room with no heater. We do travel a lot and we are both so disappointed after spending $550 for two nights to be given such room. The owners were very nice people and it’s hard to write the above comments about their property but unfortunately that’s just the reality. Please the least you can do is to change the bed and the mattress. The pillows felt like they were 100 years old.

I really appreciate that it was hard for you to write such a review. I will take action on some of your comments. The house is 110 years old and is very solidly built of brick block and concrete floors, so central air is not an option, but it is known by all other travelers to be extremely quiet at this time of year when no window AC is necessary. We are not sure what noise you experienced since you chose not to report these finding while you were here so that we could address them in some way. We are left with no need to accommodate you. Other travelers will see that our overall traveler experience is beyond exceptional, placing us in the top 10% of B&Bs worldwide. We are in a very remote area 800 feet off a country road and there is no crime in the area, so we leave the guest door open (which requires directions to find) for the ease of entry for our guests. All rooms have locks for safety. This information is provided for future travelers to address any concerns raised by this review.

It was our first stay in a yurt and it was really cool. So much more than we expected. Everything was neat and clean. Staff was super responsive and helpful. Area was quiet. We had such a relaxing vacation and are looking forward to going back.

The property was absolutely perfect, clean, and beautiful. The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful, and the location was perfect. Plenty of amenities and extras to make our stay memorable. Highly recommend!

Stayed in the Yurts. Was pleasantly surprised at how big and comfortable the yurt was. We stayed during a heat wave in July and while it was hot during the day it did cool off at night from the lake breeze and we were able to sleep comfortably. Yurts we’re stocked well with necessities. And was a quick bike ride to Lake Sceneca

Go glamping!
Yurt glamping for the first time. Beautiful yurt, much larger than typical hotel room, and incredibly comfortable, located in gorgeous setting. Definitely would do again

This B&B is advertised as a "Lakefront inn with private beach and free breakfast." It is not lakefront. It is lake view. There is a pier, with a very small plot of beach that you can walk/bike/drive to at the lakefront, but the property itself is not on the lake. The B&B is in a great location, with easy access to Seneca Falls and Geneva and close to wineries. It is a beautiful area to visit and we really recommend the historical sites in Seneca Falls. The manor home is lovely, but we were very disappointed with its cleanliness and readiness for guests. Upon entry there is a strong, disturbing sweet smell that we could not place. We couldn't decide if someone had dumped some maple syrup into the carpet, or if was from a more unpleasant source but it was very disconcerting. Our room was very clean and comfortable. However, the window a/c was pumping out very moist air making things damp and there was a pretty large hole in the wall that had not been repaired. The common areas outdoors were simply not ready for guests. There are chairs on the dock at the lake but they were covered in spider webs and cobwebs and had not been cleaned or readied for use (on June 1, hardly out of season). Similarly, the porch seating had not been cleaned and was not ready for use. There are also no spa services available despite the listing. The dining room is lovely, and the breakfast service was very nice. The owner is very personable. We wanted to like it far more than we did.

I'm sorry you were forced to be disappointed in our Inn on so many levels. I appreciate you pointing out the disparities so I could address them immediately. We always taking action on all feedback we get from our valued guests and nothing will be left undone, but all take time to accomplish, so I hope future guests who stay with us will have a better experience as so many have in the past.

Unique & very comfortable yurt in the Finger Lakes
Yale Manor yurts are wonderful. Great unique place to stay at beautiful Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes area. Contactless check in & out and self-contained yurt made it easy to be safe to travel during Covid. Katherine & Phil were amazing hosts & provide all the personal, thoughtful amenities to make the yurt cozy & comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

My wife and i stayed there at the Manor in June(celebrating both of our Bday there). If to say in a few words it was just all Perfect, Excellent and vey very cozy! We will be back! As soon i have booked the room, the next day Kathryn (one of the owners and caretaker) called us and let us know all the details of our stay beforehand, so to find out if all they offer be up to our expectations. This house is old and has a lot of the history behind, but that is what was so great about it and it is being kept and maintained very well will all the great and original furniture inside and its facilitates. Every morning you will be greeted in the dining room with a very delicious breakfast ready (prepared by a very nice lady-chef Michelle. The room, the bed and beddings and so it the bathroom spotless clean, like in your own house. The house is 3 min walking distance from the lake where they have their own pier with boat house that has everything you need to enjoy it there. There is a grill right there in case you would like to grill something and have a little party, a fire pit and few tables, plus little fridge inside etc. All that prepared to be used by their guests. Seating on that pier with a bottle of local wine and watching sunset was priceless. So if you need a total recharge, quite stay for a few days and cozy surroundings, this is the place for you. Quiet, comfortable and relaxing stay. Located close to Lake Seneca. Walked to lake each morning for viewing. The host was very pleasant and accommodating. I liked the text updates about weather and events before my arrival. Breakfast each day was excellent. I would stay again.

Location was amazing and access to the lake is a big plus ! Watching the sunset at the dock was amazing ! Out bedroom and bathroom were spotless, very charming place and the breakfast was absolutely delightful! Fresh squeezed orange juice , all good fresh and well presented! Really a great surprise at the your bedroom door every morning ! Katherine was very nice ! My husband and I will definitely go back !

We had the best time staying st Yale Manor! The yurts are amazing, and Katherine and Phil are wonderful hosts! We love this location for exploring all the wonderful sites in the Finger Lakes area.

An absolutely lovely property. Katherine, the owner is a delight. Clean, comfortable, affordable. Feels like home! Wonderful breakfasts, taking into account, and honoring dietary restrictions. Would highly recommend.
