Property was clean and the owner very nice. There were no eating utensils provided, but, there were plates and glasses. Cell phone service was fine.

A Western-themed group of apartments, rooms, property, fits this Out West location. Dan has put a lot of never-ending work into the property. Plants, water features. We'd planned for 2 nights in the Cowboy Room, big King-bed room with kitchenette, but after a great day birding in the nearby Portal, AZ, area, we decided to stay another night. VERY glad we did! Very serene there, despite being right on the Hwy 80. Just not much traffic at all. Staying the 3rd night we were lucky to be there for Rodeo's End-of-Month community small "Yard Sale", a great chance to chat with the friendly folk there. I bought a couple interesting items. The sale was followed by a community potluck at the small bar created by Dan. We returned from birding to enjoy drinks & food with those in the bar. The Cowboy Room was exceptionally clean, which was quite surprising to me given the breezes and dust. I liked the decor/color schemes that Dan has put in that room. The furnishings, each piece intentionally placed, each a piece of history. Very nice to look at everything, pause and remember history. The kitchenette has very nice dishes and towels. There is a microwave oven, a good mid-size fridge/freezer, a toaster, a coffeemaker. Coffee was provided. There's a small store nearby. A couple good cafes towards Portal. A shower, soaps provided. Bed is soft, but works. No Verizon reception. Wifi provided is poor. No TV channels; enjoyed provided "Tombstone" DVD, and another. And YES, we'll return!

It’s an older facility with a couple of small houses and rooms. Our little house was old, but clean and comfortable with a nice private patio. Beautiful cactus gardens and only a couple miles from a restaurant and Portal road. Great proximity for going to the Chiricahua mountains.

Place smelled moldy and was not clean except for towels and (hopefully) sheets. Floors were sticky, kitchen facilities very limited. TV did not work.

I did a booboo on my trip planning, but this is a wonderful surprise! Make sure the location is what you want first! The room was decorated in Indian and cowboy essence and I love it! We have a child and my child was thrilled to have her own room! Rooms were clean and spatious! Upon entering, there's a living area with a table and chairs. on the other side was a small kitchen area equipped with microwave, a dorm size refrigerator with separate freezer, a big sink, coffee maker, and a toaster. There were dishes,glasses utensils, and paper towel. I don't think there were cookware. There were coffee, tea, and creamer. Later I found coffee cups where the table was. The bathroom: toilet and shower were tight but clean and shampoo, soap, towels were provided. The big room has a dresser, a place to hang clothes, and two night stands. The small room has a single bed, a sofa couch (may be it could be turned into another bed?) and a gas heater (right by the head of the bed, safety?), a cabinet with extra blankets. WiFi works great. Needs to make sure the gate is closed right so javalinas would not damage the owners' garden. Didn't have much time to look around the building, but it's a quiet area that could beat my childhood home! Love it!

The Mountain View lodge cabin that we stayed in was spotless, quiet, and comfortable. Included a good kitchenette and plenty of room for two people. Be aware that there is no cellular service in that area at all, so you are dependent on Wi-Fi. We found the Wi-Fi to be spotty at best. So if you have to do any sort of reliable work related tasks you may have problems. Other than that our stay was great And if in the area I would certainly stay there again.

The owners are real / pleasant , the Casita we stayed at was really nice, a cowboy motif, nice and clean wine cooler refrigerator air conditioning heater comfy bed, and hot showers.. great day thanks......

This is a quaint property, rather run down but very clean and comfortable. Bathroom could use some updating. There is a lush courtyard for relaxing. Local area is perfect for wildlife watchers.

Not many options in Rodeo , New Mexico. Place is like a small "cabin" or half a house but it is need to repair. Smells like your grandmother house, bedroom is actually a porch with full windows and just screen doors for locks..it is Rodeo, NM so crime is not an issue but some will not feel safe. They have a nice flat screen but no cable or streaming services so useless. NOT A/C utilize a "swamp cooler" to bring temperature down, works okay as it gets cool in the dessert at night but loud and you have to keep it blowing all night. Plus you have to leave back door open for air flow. With a swamp cooler they add humidity and moisture to the air so hence the musty /old smell. Owner is looking to sell the place so not reinvesting. It is not bad but probably not what you are used to or expecting AND especially for the high price. Certainly a disappointment from price /value perspective but there are so few choices because of location they get away with it. Again, adjust your expectations and pretend you are visiting your great great grandmother...right down to the blanket covering the loveseat/couch. NOTE: This was one of 4 "rooms" he has available and the others may be completely different, I have no idea. Front room, full kitchen, Porch/bedroom and bathroom.

Charming place with great views of the mountains. Checked in during a storm, no power, host was helpful fired up the generator and make sure that I was taken care of.
