I stayed at the Ausonia for a few days in mid April, 2024. I arrived by train and it was a quiet and easy walk from the station through a pleasant path, although slightly marred by the path taking a tunnel under the railway line, where drug addicts were taking drugs in an area just off to one side, making it seem potentially dangerous after dark (I left in the dark, so actually walked further along a main road to avoid this subway). The hotel is in a quiet road off this park, which leads directly to the main seafront road in Rimini, so it's well positioned for the beach and restaurants, without the noise of passing traffic (to be fair Rimini was very quiet in general the few days I was there). The hotel generally is well kept, but my tiny single room was very sparse and I would pay extra for a double if I visited again. To be fair though, the room was always clean, the shower hot and decently powerful and the bed comfortable enough. Sadly, on the Saturday night there was a very noisy group of people who seemed to spend a good few hours banging loudly on each others' doors and holding loud conversations in the hall - This rather spoilt my overall impression of my stay, if I'm honest, although that's the luck of the draw, most of the rest of the time, the hotel was quiet. The reception staff were always friendly and helpful (luckily at least one spoke English too, which helped me as my Italian is, sadly, woeful). Overall, for the money the Ausonia was good.

Litet hotell i tyst område. Området delvis slitet. Bra rum med balkong som tillval. Duschen är väl det som behöver förbättras, väääldigt dålig fart på vattnet. Trevligt m gratis kaffe som start på dagen.

Awful tiny room with no aircon not what I paid for
We booked a room for four people, two adults and two older teenagers. We arrived to find the smallest room you could possibly imagine. There was barely room to move around the bed, the furniture was battered with all the edges chipped and damaged, the bathroom was tiny with a shower hardly big enough to step into never mind wash in. The air conditioning did not work, it came on and made a noise but did nothing to change the temperature of the room which was at times unbearably hot. Despite asking three times no effort was made to repair it. Upon arrival and seeing the room we immediately asked for a refund and we were going to book another hotel but this was refused, hotels.com were absolutely no help. We ended up spending all day out of the hotel and only coming back late at night to try and sleep which was virtually impossible due to the temperature and lack of working air conditioning. We had a room with a balcony which gave a 180 degree view of unkept trees about six feet away with the odd gap to look at the derelict building opposite. The only positive thing I can say about this hotel was that the room was clean, that is it. I 100% would not recommend this hotel or booking via hotels.com terrible service, no acknowledgement of my complaint or offer of a refund. Do not book hotel ausonia in Rimini, there are far nicer hotels for a little bit more money, I wish I had never booked to stay there.

We are really sorry to read your words.We too are amazed to the point of wondering if you haven't done the review for a hotel other than the one you stayed in.The air conditioning is centralized and it is not possible that in one room it does not work and in all the other functions...We would really like to have the opportunity to have you back as our Guest in order to be able to offer you a better experience than the previous one.

You get what you pay for but in this case the hotel is more of an 2star hotel than 3star. Room was very outdated, floors were dirty, shower nearly not working, no refidgerator, walls thin as paper, if you’re taller than 170cm you will not fit in the bed. For starters.

Hidden gem in Rimini
Superb location with the beach a 10 minute walk in one direction and the old town in the other direction. Friendly staff, clean rooms and a good continental breakfast. What more could you ask for?

It is an outstanding option in the beautiful city of Rimini, just a few minutes walk to the sea, and the train station makes it a privileged spot. The best was the service, kindness and swift help could be expected consistently with their staff.

La posizione è ottimale per muoversi a piedi/bici in ogni direzione della città (centro storico, mare). L'unico aspetto che segnalerei è uno strano e continuativo rumore (simile ad un macchinario sempre in funzione) di fondo durante la notte. Non ho ben compreso se interno od esterno all'edifico.

Uma boa opção com preços adequados e bom atendimento. Apesar de não estar incluso o café da manhã, eles ofereceram um cappuccino com bolo e biscoitos nós dois dias que ficamos hospedados.

The hotel has great location as it’s very close to the beach and the staff are friendly. When we booked the hotel, we read from the description that there’s parking available but actually the hotel does not provide parking and we had to look for a space to park, it’s not always easy especially during peak season.

Staff were lovely and friendly. The room was not good. It was 28c and although it states air conditioning in rooms, it was broken and not working. There was not even a plug in the room to charge my phone!! I had to use a socket in the corridor. After I contacted Expedia. I was moved to a different hotel. Spend a bit more money and choose somewhere else.

Perfect One Night Stay
On arrival the check in was very smooth after being greeted by a very friendly member of staff. We had a 4 man room which was a bit tight but it was a nice bonus to have a balcony. The beds were okay for one night. If I was staying in Rimini for 1/2 nights I would stay at this hotel again due to its convenient location.

We are 4 US citizen with passport and my in-laws are permanent resident in Switzerland. The receptionist did not let my in-law stay. She claimed they are illegal. She has no right to deny my in-laws and declared my in-laws are illegal. This is very upset to me. If I can cancel, I would to do that and not stay

E' per noi molto importante conoscere il parere dei nostri Ospiti ma sopratutto, ci riempi d'orgoglio scoprire di essere riusciti a lasciare un buon ricordo. La gentilezza non la commento, perchè la Romagna è la capitale dell'accoglienza per antonomasia e noi, cerchiamo di esserne degni rappresentanti. :-) L'eccellenza della posizione è davvero uno dei nostri punti di forza. Economico hotel in buona posizione
Ho soggiornato solo una notte e sono rimasta soddisfatta della scelta dell'hotel per il rapporto qualità/prezzo e per la cortesia dei gestori che la mattina offrono una bevanda calda, biscotti e torta agli ospiti. La mia camera era molto spaziosa e pulita così come il bagno. Unica pecca il materasso un po' vecchiotto ma visto il prezzo pagato va più che bene. Dall'albergo in una quindicina di minuti si raggiungono la stazione e il centro storico mentre in pochi minuti si è sulla passeggiata a mare e sulla via principale con negozi e ristoranti.

Ciao Stefania e grazie mille del tempo ce ci hai dedicato. Il rapporto qualità/prezzo è per noi fondamentale e siamo davvero felici che tu l'abbia apprezzato. I materassi stiamo ultimando la sostituzione in questi giorni con materassi ignifughi e di media durezza, così da rendere confortevole il soggiorno di tutti i nostri ospiti. La centralità della nostra posizione effettivamente è molto apprezzata, sopratutto il fatto che in soli 250 metri si raggiunge il bellissimo lungomare di RImini. Ciao Vittore e grazie del tempo dedicatoci! La cucina è per noi fondamentale e nonna Angela è orgogliosa di leggere commenti simili al tuo. Siamo tradizionalisti e da noi ogni domenica c'è la lasagna, il giovedi la cena romagnola, il venerdi fritto misto, etc... Nei nostri menu non mkanca mai la "regina spaghetti carbonara" o una tagliatella al ragu bolognese. Tu quale piatto hai preferito??? :-) Un abbraccio da Rimini e speriamo di rivederci presto!!!!

Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo
Hotel ben posizionato sul lungomare di Rimini e distante 15 minuti a piedi dalla stazione. Camera spartana ma con tutto il necessario per costituire un ottimo punto d’appoggio per visitare la città o godersi il mare. Personale molto disponibile. Convenzioni vantaggiose con le spiagge convenzionate (14€ per un ombrellone e 2 lettini).

Ciao Damiano e grazie per il tempo dedicato a recensire il tuo soggiorno all'Hotel Ausonia. La pulizia degli ambienti ma sopratutto delle camere è per noi una necessaria certezza. Sappiamo che le nostre stanze non sono ancora completamente rinnovate ed è per questo che puntiamo tutto sulla massima pulizia, la genuinità della nostra cucina e la cortesia, tutti aspetti immancabili. :-) Ci auguriamo di riaverti presto come nostro Ospite e nell'attesa ti inviamo un grande saluto da Rimini!!!!
