The security man that worked on May 4 followed my teen daughter and her friend to our room. He attempted to come inside the room & the girls closed the door. He first response was I’m calling the police. I had stepped out to get food from the nearby cookout. When I returned he stated they disrespected him by closing the door in his face. My response was your first reaction was to call the police, on prom night, on 2 teen girls . Really. I asked for the manager on duty. Which was Amy, the food & beverage manager. She did apologize & also stated the security man told her something different. I have his conversation with me on video. I’m extremely disappointed that in all my years of being an Hilton vacation owner, they have employees like that man. The security was a big heavy set man, my daughter 97 pounds in her prom dress. She did the correct thing by not allowing that man to enter our hotel room. Then the nerve to threaten to call the police on her. It’s a said shame that we still have people like him in this world. As I sat in the lobby, I also witnessed the same security man pick & choose which kids he asked if their parents were on sight. I also shared that with manager Amy. There was no consistency in the security man actions. He purposely was profiling certain children with certain characteristics. It saddens me that his first response was to say Il calling the police. On a little 97 pound black senior female on her prom night, 2 weeks before her high school graduation

Very nice staff, great breakfast but a little pricey. Room was clean and had a mini fridge and microwave which is awesome. Water pressure on the 6th floor was great. Only real problem was the bathroom door hinges made a horrible noise, needs grease and a very slow shower drain! But that was only in room #621 where we stayed. Overall, nice hotel. Oh and Jeanette, our breakfast server was amazing! Very friendly and helpful, plus she’s a teacher so take care of her.

The hotel needed a deep cleaning. Our room was dusty and the carpet was dirty. The vent in the bathroom was loud and rattled like it was in need of repairs. There was also an event going on the night of our stay and the music was so loud that it kept us awake. I called the desk and the worker was very apologetic and said the event would be over at 11:45, and it was.

We are sorry that you felt our hotel was in need of cleaning. We have had housekeeping go in to your room to deep clean the carpet. And we apologize for any disturbance caused by the group that we had in-house over that weekend. We are getting a renovation later this year, so everything will be brand new soon. We hope you come back to stay with us soon! We will ensure you are in a quiet, clean room!

Staff service was great but the room I felt like it needed updated. Room 218 bathroom fan sounded like the bearing was going to fly apart, all the furniture in the room looked like it's 20 years old and beat up, and the bath tub I think should be a walk in tub in every room.

Keycards didn’t work at one entrance; clearly room wasn’t vacuum, fridge was unplugged. Mid afternoon housekeeping kept letting doors slam so don’t plan to nap. Took about an hour for “room service” which ended up calling and saying we had a pick up ourselves @ 11:40pm! Overall, I’d stay again but not my first choice by a long shot.

It was dated with a stale smell. Housekeeping did not clean our room as requested. We had to ask for towels & toilet paper. The fan in the bathroom was filthy, so it did not circulate at all. The coffee in the lobby was cold @10:00am It was not the standard that I am accustomed to.

Simply not a good experience all around. Struggled to get room service. Bar service not good. Beds are way too small. I mean really they couldn’t spend the money to have queen beds instead of full size. Only positive was front desk staff where polite and friendly.

Our first visit to Virginia. We were there for a fencing tournament for our grandson. We couldn't have chosen a better hotel. We are very pleased. Definitely, our chosen hotel in Virgina for the future tournaments.

BOOK THIS AT OUR OWN RISK! You have been warned!
DO NOT BOOK HERE! outdated is one thing, filthy is another! This place is gross! Hilton should be a shamed of the fact that this hotel (a franchise) bears their name. Third world countries have better hotels. Owners have no pride of ownership! $29.95 a night would be too much!! The carpet hasn’t been replaced in at least 30 years. The bed shirt was filthy and was on correctly. Wore my socks. Would have left if it wasn’t prepaid and my family wasn’t exhausted from travel.

not my 1st time staying at this location, i stay there bcuz i enjoy staying at any Double Tree hotel. I would suggest that they shampoo the carpets at least twice a month
