  • Bienvenue à "The Artist's Cottage" !! Maison historique pittoresque avec de belles œuvres d'art locales dans une rue calme de Lewes. Seulement deux pâtés de maisons des magasins et des restaurants de la ville et une courte distance en voiture de Lewes Beach. Le premier étage a le salon, grande cuisine ouverte et salle à manger ainsi qu'une chambre et salle de bain complète. Deux autres chambres et un demi-bain sont au deuxième étage. Dormir au total pour six. Cette maison est disponible pour les séjours en mini semaine du vendredi au lundi ou du lundi au vendredi. Il peut également être loué chaque semaine du vendredi au vendredi. Demandez à votre agent pour plus de détails.

Great little cottage in a nice town close to the beach. Perfect for the two of us and our dog. The street is quiet and a short walk to restaurants and shops. Parking is on the street only. We chose the laundry service which worked out well. You have to pick up a packet from the local realtor which contains the house keys. Great history regarding the original owner and the artwork hanging on the walls. We will stay here again.

Great house in a fantastic location. Second street with all of the shops and restaurants is only a few short blocks away. The street is very quiet and there 3 outdoor spaces to enjoy

Short weekend, great location

We were in town for a lacrosse tournament. The weekend was short but the property was lovely and in a great location. Property was also well equipped. Would recommend and certainly stay again in the future.

Wonderful!

We loved our stay at the Artist's Cottage! The house is delightful and very comfortable with an incredibly well stocked kitchen. First floor living was great with the young adult kids upstairs. The location is just perfect for walks and bike rides and taking in the charm of the town and surroundings. Perfect house to stay in, highly recommend!!

Raskin stay

We loved the Artist's Cottage. I wanted to purchase some of the art! Location was perfect and we all had a peaceful, fun time. Never listened to the news or got a newspaper which for us, a very politically oriented family, (liberal) was a miracle!. Thanks.

Cute cottage, amazing location

Absolutely loved this neighborhood and location for our stay! Two blocks from downtown shops and restaurants, bike trails, and about a mile from the beach, surrounded by 1700s-era homes and churches. The cottage is spacious with a modern kitchen and lots of seating (both indoor and outdoor). Property manager was excellent and extremely attentive to our questions/needs. Our only complaints were that the children’s (twin) mattresses were not comfortable and could really use replaced. Also, the living room furniture could use an upgrade (and the addition of a couch versus just a love seat). The way it is currently set up, it’s really hard to sit and actually see the small TV. The room is spacious, so the furniture could also be reconfigured for better flow. Finally, the VRBO listing says it has a on-site parking, but there is only street parking at this property — and the street space directly in front of this home is marked as handicapped. It would be more transparent to explain this in the listing, especially for the higher price point of this rental during peak season. Overall, we liked this property and were pleased with our stay.

Great house, but falls short

The house is adorable and location is great. The booking and communication process with the realtor was frustrating, they wouldn’t communicate through messages. Everything is done outside of Vrbo, and I struggled to connect with the office. I wish there was a keyless entry vs having to pick up and drop off keys, plus it would be safer. The a/c doesn’t work properly. It was almost 100 degrees outside and the house wouldn’t cool down during the day. At night it got cold, but then quit working during the day and the temps inside rose to 80 degrees. Incredibly frustrating. We chose to pay for the linen rental, kind of a pain. Plus, the check-out process required a hefty list of work that had to be done. The front entry had a sewage smell every time someone took a shower, not ideal. Again the house was cute, but left us disappointed overall. We most likely will not stay here again.

It was comfortable, clean, and beautifully maintained and upon our arrival we were welcomed by an adorable surprise at the top of the stairs (I won’t spoil it). The location was perfect - a short walk into town, close to a neighborhood park, and we enjoyed walking the streets and seeing the beautiful historic homes. It is also walking distance to MANY great restaurants, although Heirloom was amazing! Make a reservation in advance!

We rented in February ‘22, assuming it would be quiet. Had no idea demolition would be going on in the back yard! Assume new build will occur soon! The property itself does not have an attentive cleaning company. Musty/mold odors in laundry/bath/front bedroom. Numerous kitchen items dirty or unusable. No hairdryer!

Perfect location to walk to early morning coffee and evening dinner, all just blocks away. Easy drives to area attractions, including Rehoboth Beach, Primehook National Wildlife Refuge and Cape Henlopen State Park. We worked with an excellent rental agent. The home is cozy and comfortable and exudes hospitality.

Lovely stay!

We had a wonderful December weekend at The Artists' Cottage! So quaint, clean, and well-located! We walked to dinner, shopping, and viewing the wonderful lights displays around town. We will definitely be back!

Lovely House - Great Stay

The house is just lovely and the listing accurately portrays the size and amenities. It’s very comfortable, bright, sunny, and well appointed. The patios are a wonderful feature. Easy check in/out. The location can’t be beat. On a quiet street, ample street parking, a sort stroll into town for dinner. We enjoyed every minute and plan to rent again.
