I prefer to stay here over any other hotel in the Rapid area. The rooms are nice, spacious and clean. The staff have always been personable and helpful.

The hotel & parking are was well lit. It was clean & easy to navigate. My only complaint was that the promised "light housekeeping every other day" never happened. Our trash was never emptied during our 4 night stay. The kleenex & paper towels ran out.

Our room was nice and big. The only issue was the back of hand held shower was missing and missing iron in room, otherwise, it was comfortable and roomy.

This was a great deal and we liked the place so much we decided to spend an extra night! Breakfast was great, the room is spacious and comfortable and it’s nice having a kitchenette. It’s only 45 minutes from Mount Rushmore and is very quiet - just what we were looking for on our cross country road trip!

We booked a room with a sofa sleeper as we had a party of 5 people. The hideaway couch was broke, the food, wrappers and filth under the couch was disgusting. The front desk did not answer when calling 6 times. I had to go ask for help, no maintenance on site and the front desk lady was rude. She came up to “fix” the problem and couldn’t. The bathroom door was broke, didn’t close nor lock.

The room was not very clean, we used the pullout sofa and there were stains on the mattress and lots of garbage under the sofa area. All of the dishes from the previous residents were in the dishwasher, I am not going to unload a dishwasher full of dishes that I didn’t use. Bedding cleanliness was questionable. Every towel in the bathroom was stained. Breakfast was absolutely terrible. However, the breakfast issue was mostly due to the hotel being fully booked. I will not stay here again, and would recommend booking one of the neighboring hotels that are much cleaner, and about the same nightly cost.

Nice place for the price. Just a heads up, not a quiet place with all the waterpark activity. If you're not there for that or have kids, you probably won't be happy. They don't put water bottles in the room, which isn't a huge deal, but is an easy little thing they could do to increase customer satisfaction. Room wasn't super clean when we showed up. There was hair everywhere in the bathroom and food on the floor. The free breakfast is complete garbage. Save yourself the trouble and go to the Perkins, or one of the many awesome breakfast spots in town. Overall though, worth it for a cheap place to stay and the water park was fun for the kids.

We've stayed here before several times and love the spacious rooms and breakfasts. The room cleanliness was not as good this time as has been in the past: dishes in dishwasher not clean, child's sticky ball behind the tv that was missed, and seemed as if the floor has not been swept.

Ugh, where do I start? Let’s just say if you expect clean rooms, this is not it. I had to go ask for extra linen to put on sofa that we attempted to use for our son, but when we unfolded it, we folded it right back in, after what we saw. The white mattress topper that was there was not changed for god knows how long. Bunch of black pieces of something. If you didn’t look close you’d think those are bed bugs. Floor in the bathroom might have been swept before we got in, but in every corner you could see the small pieces of dirt, small clear rubber bands, pieces of fuzz, etc. Same for the floor by the kitchen. Furniture drawers were not cleaned for a while, with hair and pieces of crumbs. Not one, but all of them. I used our wipes to clean one part of drawers to put our clothes in. No utensils in their kitchen, which is part of each studio, so had to go ask for those too. Body lotion was empty , so here I go to reception again. I felt like a nuisance to the hotel staff, which I should not be as these things should be in the room before guests arrive. The pillows in the room are simply horrible, just too flat for our taste. You could tell that room was not clean thoroughly between different guests. Needless to say, we would NOT stay here again and that is coming from my spouse, who is not picky at all and we don’t ever write reviews on our stays, but we’re simply not impressed.

I will no longer be staying at home 2 suites in rapid city due to trust and integrity of the employees. When we got on the highway to leave town my wife realized that she had forgot a blanket and pillow in the room. Rather than turn around we decided to just call and have them set aside for family to pick up for us. When we called they claimed to not have found our possesions. I dont see how this is possible due to the fact we were the only people in the room. Pillow was a more expensive purple brand, not a big deal can be replaced. The blanket on the other hand was very important it was gifted to my wife from her grandmother before she passed. She is very upset and now we can not trust this establishment.

Breakfast was okay. The line is long cause everyone is trying to make waffles. They have omelets every morning they’re okay. The beds are super firm. Not a fan. Rooms are so big you could throw a party in them. That was a plus. Staff was friendly and professional. Overall it wasn’t a bad stay just not a fan of a 60 dollar hold that still has yet to come back into my bank account 8 days later.

Home2 has been our hotel for years when staying at Watiki. We've always had great experiences. This year half our party got early check-in notifications before noon, the other half wouldve had to pay $25/ room to check in early & 1 room wasnt available til almost 4:30pm. After check-in, our room keys wouldnt work. Kept going downstairs 3 times & after 3 times of trying, the desk person told us we 'had to wait for card to activate' so after 30minutes our doors finally opened. Next, the hotel no longer sells wristbands at desk. You have to go to arcade. Cant get into pool/arcade without wristbands. We didnt know you couldnt charge to the room. You have to pay cash/card. We dont take cash/card to pool usually so back to the room we went for the 4th time. Lastly, we had no bedding for the pull out couch so we had to go downstairs at get that after swimming all evening. Hope the next stay is better or our group of 15 people wont be back.

Perfect choice
Not sure why people like lime green but its not soothing to me. My socks were not as clean as they should be but other than that, room was very comfortable. Fridge microwave all worked well. Shower has great pressure. Need to use comet for better cleaning (shower only) Excellent flavor for waffles and strawberry compote. Coffee was strong and had vanilla coffee creamer in pods not syrup...thankyou. staff was very awesome. Fresh fruit available. Definitely would stay here again.
