This is what can happen when an east coast low rolls in and the surf gets big. The point of Sawtell headland is then a popular place to go and get some shots.
This is a great place to spend an hour or more. It's a lovely garden with a nice balance of varying habitats and vegetation. As a nature photographer I find much of interest there, including this yellow-striped flutterer, one of several types of dragonflies on the property. Best of all - it's free! But donations are welcome.
I used to go here, not regularly enough but certainly on occasions. It's a botanical oasis well worth having a look at if you're into nature and highlights the lack of quality gardens elsewhere on the North Coast. There are many bird species here as well as plants and another favourite of mine, the dragonfly, in this case a Water Prince, something I didn't find out until minutes before I put this up. It had sat forgotten in my files for years until I unearthed it looking for something else. #Nature
