« The place was nice and the staff were friendly and accommodating! Our room however was very hot and humid despite having a large fan. Otherwise, the hotel is also conveniently located in the city, only short walks away from popular attractions. »

« Clean room with a good mattress but rather small ,dont expect to put a second suitcase somewhere. Glass panel above the room door without any cover so expect to be awaken when someone turns the hall lights on.The main window curtain is not lightproof either. It overlooks a church ,but 30m beyond is a very busy road and you can hear in the distance horning trucks,motorcycle and so on. Bathroom is ok ,warm water available. Ok if you have excursions starting early…. »

« Casa de Don Moncho refused to allow us to check in because our bus from Managua arrived late. They left us stranded late at night without a room. I've lodged a complaint with INGUAT (the Guatemalan tourism department) and learned that this hotel IS NOT A LICENSED HOTEL and DOES NOT HAVE THE PERMITS TO OPERATE AS A HOTEL IN ANTIGUA. Now the hotel is keeping my money instead of reimbursing me for the 14 nights they denied me. Tip- there are LOTS of hotels in Antigua, find another one. »

« We arrived on the day of our booking and the manager of the hotel told us that they don't work with Expedia. I had a text and email confirmation of our booking and he told us that does not matter. He told us his hostel was completely full and did not care to help us at all. They also advertise as having free parking, and when we arrived he told us the hostel does not provide parking. Very bad customer service, completely unorganized and not helpful. »
