« It was blatant FALSE ADVERTISING. It says explicitly on the Expedia website (which I have open in front of me as I write this) that it is in central Beijing a 15 minute walk from Tiananmen Square. In reality it is a TWO HOUR DRIVE from central Beijing, out in the countryside somewhere. When I learned that, I had my taxi turn around and return to Beijing to find another hotel. I am not paying for this fraud and am going to take legal action against them for misrepresentation. »

« The name of this place is actually Base-Gonti Serviced Apartment and it was perfect for our trip. We stayed in their "Executive Studio" and the room has plenty of storage space for our luggages (2 medium/2 carry-on), a comfortable bed, a spacious kitchen and a nice bathroom. The hotel is very clean and safe and I appreciated the free in-room wifi and house slippers. « Very large room that is decently clean and comes with a kitchen, washer dryer, living area and sofa. Breakfast was decent and relatively inexpensive with ok options. Cleanliness is acceptable but the key concern is the room air conditioning. We went in the spring so we could live with the weak air conditioning. However, it might be hard to deal with during the summertime. Will recommend the Japanese restaurant at the hotel lobby. Food and drinks are absolutely fantastic. »
