Amazing stay at Casa las Montañas. The house is adorable. Very comfortable and private. Great for two couples or a family visiting. Mary, the housekeeper is lovely. Usually there in the mornings. Sheâs able to make breakfasts and dinners if you arrange in advance. She also made us some delicious frozen margaritas. The house is a bit of a walk into PV. Doable, but definitely not super close. Much easier on the downhill. We alternated between walking and Ubers/taxis without any problem. The house is right across from Ocho Cascadas, which made it easy to direct taxis. Beds were super comfy with loads of pillow options. Bedrooms huge and comfortable. Really delightful. The only hiccup was that our initial food order didnât get in, but Mary got us set up in no time.
The house was just as advertised and the staff was super helpful. The fridge was out of commission the whole time but Alex and Chef Maria brought a cooler and ice. Chef Mariaâs food was absolutely amazing! Next time we go to PV we will try to get her again! Decent location but not really walking distance anywhere but Patio Azul restaurant behind the house. Most all cab drivers know the place by name so it was easy to get home and Uber wits down there.
We had an amazing vacation in this gorgeous villa recently. The place is beautifully decorated; the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable; the private pool and patio areas are fantastic; and Maria's cooking is out of this world. Frankly, we stopped going out to eat, as nothing could compare to Maria's dinners! All around fantastic experience!
The villa was nice and well stocked. Maria prepared one dinner for us that was great and came to clean and did a great job. The downstairs A/C did not work and the outside grill did not work. We pointed this out to the host, but nothing was done to address these issues and neither was working when we left. Communication with Sandy was horrible. Sometimes it was a week before we had questions answered. We were given a credit of $200 for Maria to prepare meals, but were never instructed on how to use this credit (after we asked). Our initial booking was mishandled which cost us extra for having to rebook airfare. Although the villa was nice and well appointed, we would not stay there again due to poor communication with the host.
Great stay in this beautiful home. Kitchen was very functional. The property was as beautiful in person as it was online. I do not recommend booking transport and shopping through the property manager. I was charged more than quoted for the ride+grocery stop. Other than that, a great place. Easy to get a cab at the hotel across the street.
The house was as advertised. Beautiful property with excellent onsite staff (who are there constantly, if you're looking for privacy). However, communication from the owner and concierge company was subpar. The AC was broken downstairs in all common areas of the house, a surprise upon arrival. AC was very important to our group due to a medical issue and we would not have booked a property that only had AC in the bedrooms. The first few days were uncomfortable. The second day we asked if it could be fixed sooner, received no response, and the third day someone arrived unannounced to look at the AC when we were about to leave. We canceled our plans. AC guy said heâd be back in an hour and never returned. After he left, concierge texted that AC repair would be coming that day. Two days later, after the heat had passed, the concierge finally contacted us again to tell us that AC guy was coming back and asked if we would be around to let him in (and wait for him to finish, I guess). Seriously?
The house is beautiful, the house staff were very nice, but the concierge messed up our arrival airport transport, provided incorrect info about drinking water in the house, and the AC was a problem. Most vacation rentals include an info binder and that would have been useful. Checkout time is 11am, but expect staff to arrive hours earlier on your last day and start cleaning around you, mildly annoyed that you're still there.
Sandy and her staff were so friendly and amazing. The property itself was magical and warm and inviting, and had all the amenities one could need. There was a restaurant across the street for convenience. My family and I can't wait to come back!!
We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely villa! Very nicely furnished. Maid & grounds keepers are very nice & unobtrusive. Maid comes about 9 which for us is a little early, but she only comes every other day so we could sleep in the other days. View is beautiful..fyi, there is a big radio tower across the street which is the only thing not pretty about the view but that is not the owners fault. Very relaxing getaway. We will stay here again.
It was one of the most relaxing times we had in a long time. The house and service were magnificent. The process from the beginning was smooth and easy. No drama or surprises. keep it up and we will definitely come back for more. Thank you.
This was our fourth visit to this dream villa and we loved it even more than before! The private pool, ocean views, quiet neighbourhood and proximity to the old town make this a perfect destination. Sandy and her team made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. We really enjoy coming here and will continue to do so when we come to Puerto Vallarta!
Very nice property, easy access to all locations as long as you have the Uber app which made it very easy to get around. Only problem was water pump at house went out and didnât have water for 24hrs so no toilets or shower our last full day there. But other than that great time at the beaches, restaurants and shops. Would do it again.
This was a hidden gem in Puerto Vallarta. My wife and i have been to Puerto Vallarta numerous times and have stayed at different Hotels and Condos but for us this was the best of the best. Maria the housekeeper/chef was awesome and treated us so well she felt like family. We will definitely stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Montaña. We normally stay in Zona Romantica, but wanted to try out having a whole house to ourselves instead of just a condo, but were a little worried about being a bit outside the main town in Conchas Chinas (esp. with our friend who is mobility-challenged).
While the walk into town was not do-able for our friend, we had no issues with grabbing an Uber or a taxi (most of the time there was a taxi outside the Ochos Cascadas hotel next door). Fares into or from old town were usually 50~60 pesos and took about 5mins.
As for the casa, it was just what we were hoping for and expecting. Well designed and decorated, with lots of space for 4 adults. Everything was very clean, and we received housekeeping services from the very friendly Maria every other day. We didn't have an opportunity to have Maria prepare a meal for us, but based on her welcome gift of homemade salsa and guacamole, I am sure one would not be disappointed.
We really enjoyed all the different spaces we could hang out and relax, from the main pool area to the large living room and (my favourite) the balcony off the primary bedroom. You could have sun or shade any time of the day as you desired.
The on-site support from Rigo and David at Admin Homes was great, from check-in to quickly taking care of any small questions/issues during our stay (eg connecting to WiFi, arranging transfer back to the airport, etc.).
Overall, a great place to stay in PV!
Our stay at Casa Montaña was fabulous! The place is immaculate and beautiful. Maria was amazing - so welcoming, helpful and her breakfasts - delicious! The neighborhood is quiet and the pool is refreshing. We tried lots of Sandyâs restaurant recos and liked them all. Overall a fantastic stay.
The home has a great layout and the pool was perfect. It took about 30 to 40 minutes to walk to town. The short way is closed due to construction. Thank you for sharing your home with us Sandy. Great service with the management company.
This is a great comfortable property for 4 people, with a friendly staff that keeps the place running (and come to the house very often!). Conchas Chinas gives you a more residential feel but be ready to uber/drive a lot to the city, as walking there means walking on the highway. As noted in another review, there's ongoing construction across the street so there's a lot of noise and dust (plus an eyesore). The ocean views are also spoiled by a gigantic antenna across the street - which the photos conveniently don't show. If you go, make sure you visit the Patio Azul bar across the street, they have terrific views.
This is a great property in all respects. Our bad luck was that a building across the street is under renovation, so we had loud noise- grinding, sawing, pounding, etc. throughout our stay. Part of the crew is living in the building while working, so not much let up in noise at any time.
Casa Montaña is comfortable and spacious and kept so clean by Maria and the gardener and pool cleaner. Maria is a warm generous person and goes above and beyond to make delicious meals. Communication with the property manager was quick and easy. The Casa is located a short distance from the centre of the city in a very hilly area so walking to tow isnât easy but Uber arrives within minutes and costs $4-5
Beautiful property, great location, wonderful staffâŠ. The list can go on and on! Honestly the pictures do not do this place justice. If you are looking for a relaxing stay in a beautiful location, do not hesitate to book. The property managers were also great setting up the prepared meals and providing great communication.
Had a great time at Casa Montaña. A great little property. Very comfortable. The private pool is amazing. The balcony of the master bedroom has an amazing view. A great place to stay.
We had arranged to have supplies and groceries at the property when we arrived, a service they provide as there is nothing really close to the Casa to grab water or soda or snacks. I had my requests in 2 months ahead of our stay. The Casa was not stocked and it took more than 24 hours to get supplies there. Also, sometimes the staff coming and going gets a little intrusive. If you book a massage thru the Casa, and you absolutely should, be sure to verify what time housekeeping will arrive. We were interrupted on two separate occasions as we booked massages at the same time as cleaning. Lesson learned. Also, they arrive early in the morning, so if you want to sleep past 9:00am, not happening every other day.
Other than that. A great stay. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The property was ok except no railings on the stairs. I fell about halfway down. Sprained knee we had to move to a Hotel with no stairs. The cook Marie was wonderful
I don't know where to begin. Perfection, Thoughtful, Relaxing. We just spent a month here and it was the best VRBO we have ever stayed at. EVERY expectation was met and more. From the bathrooms having ammenities that you may have forgot to pack to having a kitchen that's supplied with coffee tea and spices for at home cooking. The water in all taps are filtered and very clean - very rare and such a nice thing to have. There is a library of books and a drawer of board games. Every little thing has been considered for your stay. The view was beautiful and the pool was fantastic. Maria the Chef was the icing on the cake. She is so sweet and a skilled cook that can make you anything from BBQ ribs to coconut shrimp. Her Mexican dishes are the best we have ever had. Friendly and professional she was a pleasure to have around. It is a quiet location at night which is very important. The walk into town is fairly easy but you are encountering hills. A taxi into town cost 100 pesos most times. The owner Sandy has an amazing team. They are very caring about their guests and we would defiantly stay here again. Thank you Sandy and your team for an amazing stay. You ROCK!!!!
