Parfait!
Nous sommes restés 2 nuits et avons dîné les soirs à la table de l’Open Gâte. Très bons plats. Bus pour Positano devant l’hotel Ce qui est très pratique. Nous n’avons malheureusement pas eu beau temps, on n’a donc pas profité de la terrasse de notre chambre. Nous conseillons cet établissement, petit déjeuner excellent et personnel très sympathique

Quel gâchis! Hôtel à éviter.
Hôtel vraiment très modeste, si ce n'est pour le prix de ses chambres: 120 €... Bien situé avec une très jolie vue, il mériterait une vraie restructuration car les lieux sont à la limite de la vétusté: chambres mal insonorisées, mobilier vieilli et minimaliste, salle de bain en mauvais état et franchement laide, etc. La responsable que nous avons rencontrée est obséquieuse, passablement agaçante dans la surenchère de politesses, et tout cela pour oser offrir un pareil produit à un tel prix. Petit-déjeuner insipide, avec des produits très ordinaires, qui ne nous a pas donné envie d'y prendre nos repas.

We were so impressed with Hotel Open Gate! The staff are very welcoming and the rooms are great. We stayed on the second floor and had a magnificent balcony overlooking the water. The location is a perfect spot to day trip to other towns along the Amalfi coast and there is transportation right in front of the hotel. The restaurant has a great terrace on the water as well. Great spot if you are looking to be seaside but also explore.

Me and hubby had a great stay at open gate. The hotel is beautiful and clean. The views are incredible! Pasquale was great. He helped us book a Vespa and let us know of bus routin the area. You won’t be disappointed. Do have dinner at the their restaurant too. Excellent food.

I Love OPEN GATE
Our room and view of the ocean was breathtaking! Our stay was comfortable and safe. It's a beautiful B&B!!!! We enjoyed our breakfast every morning. We loved that we can walk down to the beach and take a water taxi anywhere! Great staff, so hardworking!

Amazing time in Open Gate hotel
Really enjoyed the stay. The location is great, the place has a private parking, walking distance to the beach and small area shops. The room very clean and in excellent condition, the view is amazing, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and we also had a really tasty dinner in the hotel restaurant. Will definitely recommend the place to our friends.

Das Hotel liegt ca. 10 min zu Fuss vom Zentrum von Praiano. Ca. 10 min zu Fuss hat es einen Strand mit Liegen und einen Beachclub mit Einstieg ins Wasser via Treppen (il Pirata). Es hat eine Bushaltestelle direkt beim Hotel (Halt auf Verlangen). 2 kleine Supermärkte hat es ebenfalls in der nähe. Das Highlight des Hotels ist die Terasse des Restaurants mit Blick aufs Meer. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind grosszügig mit einem tollen Balkon mit Meersicht. Das einzige was uns gestört hat ist das es sehr hellhörig ist zum Gang hin. Das Frühstück ist Top. Eierspeisen können auf Wunsch zusätzlich bestellt werden. Wir haben auch einmal im Hotel Restaurant gegessen. Dies war ebenfalls ganz gut.

The hotel is family owned and they are so helpful and accommodating and are there all the time as they live upstairs. The hotel is in a quiet area, away from the craziness of Positano. The hotel sits right on the main road, so you do have road noise since all the cars, buses and vespas travel this one road. Our room had a huge balcony with an amazing view of the water and coast. You must walk a little way (5-7 min) in either direction to a bus stop to take the bus to other towns, like Positano or Amalfi. Or you can call for a taxi. They have a restaurant on-site with a full menu and gelato too!!! Breakfast was extensive with lots of options. You can sit on the outside, covered patio or there is a nice patio across the street on the water side you can enjoy as well. There is air conditioning -- thank goodness. We stayed in October and still needed it a bit but also opened the doors to our balcony for fresh air. There are no elevators so we had to walk two flights to our room. This is very common in this area. The location is convenient if you plan on going to the other coast towns during your visit. We did Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. You must also make sure to visit the marina area called Praia not far from the hotel and takes you down by the water via staircase. You will find a whole world down there of restaurants in the rocks, like La Pirata, that we highly recommend. You cannot miss doing this! I highly recommend Open Gate. And the price is very fair as well. Ciao!

The location is great, just a 15 minutes bus ride to Positano and a walk to the beach. We enjoyed the balcony facing the ocean, great views! The hotel staff is super friendly and attentive. The included breakfasts were very good and dinners as well.

Perfekt hotell att bo på på Amalfikusten.
Perfekt hotell att bo på om man vill spendera några dagar på Amalfikusten, Praiano är lugnare och mindre än de andra orterna. Hotellet ligger nära stranden och centrum, personalen hjälpsam och trevliga på alla sätt. Vill man ha den stora altanen på bilden finns bara en och då måste man boka trippelrummet. Mindre altanerna till superior-rummen också bra men mindre. Finns dock ingen pool men det har få hotell i området. Bra restaurang finn spå hotellet.

Wonderful simple little hotel in great location
We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in July and loved it. The location is perfect: you can easily use the shuttle bus to spend the day in Positano or Amalfi, then retire for a quiet dinner in the little town of Praiano. Our room was lovely, with a magnificent view of the Mediterranean, especially from the balcony. The restaurant serves excellent cuisine in a calm and romantic setting overlooking the see. We ended up eating there 4 out of the 5 nights of our stay. The grilled calamari were the best I have ever had anywhere. The owners are wonderful, friendly and helpful. They speak English and French.

The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was simple but clean, air-conditioned, and comfortable with a terrace and a stunning view of the ocean. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We highly recommend this hotel.

מלון נחמד מאוד
מלון נחמד במיקום מצויין (בעיקר למי שעם רכב) ובמרחק הליכה לסירות היוצאות לכיוון קאפרי מ Praiano. חניה צמודה נוחה וצוות אדיב. החדר בסיסי מאוד (מקרר היה מאוד חסר) אך במחיר הוגן ביחס לשאר האלטרנטיבות באזור. בטיול עם בת זוג הייתי מעדיף מלון מעט מפנק יותר.

Es un hotel familiar de 2 estrellas, está bien, la atención de Stefania exelente nos ayudó en todo, lo único que la ubicación no nos resultó cómoda ya que está en Praiano, entre Positano y Amalfi, y alejado del pequeñísimo centro de Praiano que no tiene mucho para ofrecer, por lo que para ir a cenar o lo haces en el hotel, o tenes que ir en ómnibus a Positano o Amalfi, es decir no es la ubicación óptima para quien no va en auto, es mejor parar en uno de esos dos lugares, ya que si querés salir a caminar de noche o ir a un bar, la ubicación no permite que se haga caminando. Esta muy bien para quien no tiene grandes pretensiones, limpio, la vista al mar de los balcones exelente, y está bien para quien va en auto.

Nice hotel with spectacular seaview
This hotel is basically carved in Amalfi rockface above the sea, and when heading from reception to rooms elevator goes down instead of going up. Needless to say views from balcony and hotel restaurant are magnificent! Anyhow hotel is located at inconvenient place; getting there and away is not very easy without car or taxi. Hotel and room were both clean, breakfast was good (especially when enjoying it at terrace looking at the sea) and staff was friendly. Nice extra add-on was hotel's small private beach, if you did not feel like paying 20 € to get place at any other beach. Climbing down the stairs to beach just was not for person afraid of heights.

Amalfi Coast's best kept secret!
We spent a fabulous 4 nights in this family run hotel and enjoyed every second! The family go out of their way to assist and support you and were enormously kind and friendly towards my 3 year old daughter. We will definitely come back one day.
