Amazing hotel, highly recommend staying here. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Room was very clean, modern and spacious. Pool was really clean and had crystal clear water. Big enough to not feel crowded even if there were lots of people in it at the same time. The local shuttle bus would pick you up from the hotel right outside of reception which was really handy. I will definitely be returning.

We had a great stay in a 2 bedroom apartment. It was clean and tidy. Quite small but fine for 2 adults and 2 younger kids. Pool was amazing!!!

The pool is an absolute highlight. Some of the furniture is a bit dated ( the bed was very soft…). But you can’t find friendlier staff.

This was our second visit staying in a three bed appartment. Love how quiet & relaxing this place is very helpful staff. Private access to pool which was safe for our three year old grandson. Can’t wait to come back

It’s in the name. Great big pool area. Very friendly and helpful staff made our stay very enjoyable. The location is nice and quiet- don’t go if you want to party.

What an imcredible place to stay. It was modern, clean and even had netflix to watch of a night when we wanted the kids to have some downtime. Would highly recommend and will def stay there again

Highly recommend this place!
Loved everything about The Pool Resort. Great location in quiet streets, 5 min scooter/drive into Port Douglas. Very spacious 3 bed plunge apartment perfect for a family of 5 with 2 bathrooms and very large living dining kitchen open plan. Very long wide hallway from front entrance past bedrooms and bathrooms. Great decor, very clean, plenty of lounge/dining chairs etc for the whole family without being on top of each other. Our apartment overlooked golf course, very relaxing and quiet with little outdoor area to sit. Plunge pool was small but handy having at your door. Main pool went forever, the biggest I've ever seen anywhere, plenty of space so you can lounge around. Very clean apartment and all facilities maintained well. Awesome to have scooters available on site, easy cruise around local area and into PD. Cannot fault anything about this place and would recommend to anyone visiting PD.

We stayed in the 3 bedroom plunge pool with our family. It was so beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen, appliances, washer, and dryer were so helpful for us. The outside pool is so lovely and having the plunge pool was amazing. The staff at the pool are so kind, welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended.

Big pool at the front. Unfortunately we didn’t get chance to stay in these rooms with access to the pool which was a bit disappointing as we weren't explained anything about the room. We were alocated at the very end corner of the resort, again quite disappointed with that as all the photos show this beautiful pool we would be looking at. Apartment was clean and had all amenities but had a big ants nest on a balcony. There were everywhere. Main bed was very poor quality which made our sleep uncomfortable. Staff were really lovely and helpful though. Overall we still enjoyed our getaway to Port Douglas but unfortunately next time will book somewhere else.

Thank you so much for providing a review of your recent stay. We are glad you enjoyed your apartment and amenities. Unfortunately ants do appear in the tropics. We have maintenance staff working everyday that can get rid of nests. I am sorry you were disappointed with your view. You booked a sunset view apartment which either look over the main pool or the golf course and mountains. Being upstairs you have the same access to the main pool as all of the sunset views have. Many guests request views of the golf courses and rebook these to return to them each year. If you ever stay again please let us know your preference. Thanks again for staying with us and enjoying all that Port Douglas has to offer.

Got a sunset pool view - got given a side room that couldnt really see the pool (upper level, smaller pool area, not the main pool - make sure to ask after booking!). No info in rooms, office opening times limited and they dont appear to want to guide for trips etc. Bit far from main PD area, have to drive up. Nice place overall, rooms are spacious and modern and have everything you need including netflix. Main pool is only 1.3m deep, wish it had varying depths but guess it has to be kid safe. Could do with some basic info (folder/welcome pack) with quick guide, top attractions, restaurant suggestions since no breaky etc.

Hi Milad, Thank you for your review. Our office is open from 8.30am to 5.00pm Mon to Friday and from 8.30am to 3pm Sat and Sun. All guests receive a welcome letter with the office hours listed and general information on our property including a map of Pool Resort and a Map of Port Douglas with lists most attractions. We have an extensive tour desk and always welcome all guests wishing to make tour bookings. We do have rooms on the main pool and also rooms overlooking the golf course and lap pools. Shuttle buses run from 7am to midnight around Port Douglas which makes travelling around Port douglas stress free. Thank you for staying with us.

It was a good place to stay at. But the downside to this. It was too far from town. No bar or restaurant on side. You have to walk to another hotel to eat. It’s okay when it’s sunny. But if it’s raining then you’re in trouble.

Hi Siale, Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We do not have a bar or restaurant on site. I am not sure why you thought we did. The nearest cafe is St Crispins Cafe which is a 3 minute walk.. Shuttle buses service all areas of Port Douglas. Many guests purchase a weekly pass which gives unlimited travel from 7am to midnight. $65 for a 7 day pass. Thank you for staying with us.
