Summer Getaway
My wife and I enjoyed the property immensely! Beautiful views of the lake from the deck and beach made for a very relaxing experience and our favorite spot for taking in sunsets. Plenty of room in the kitchen for cooking when we wanted to do that and overall the property had everything we needed to support a great time at the lake!

I absolutely love the house and the location! It’s is very beautiful & kept up beyond any VRBO I’ve ever stayed in. And then there lies the LAKE around back with a HUGE Sandy beach and ALL THE ROCKS AND STONES along the shoreline to SIFT through day & night. You can see they care about their listing very much and it shows as soon as you pull up!! Fresh thriving flowers are planted everywhere!! That’s the BACK of the house aka roadside which was my favorite porch EVER. THE BIRDS start and never stop due to the woodsy area on the roadside and Lake Huron on the other side. I didn’t know Michigan had such beautiful sunsets. Unbelievable BEAUTY I’d say the house is well kept and truly has almost everything you’ll need. That air conditioner and WiFi worked GREAT. The only downside was no garbage disposal. I cooked ALOT and I appreciate all the cookware and the DISHWASHER. Thank you for the provisions of your home and I definitely give 5 stars to this true GEM.

This property was wonderful. Exactly as advertised and very well-stocked with anything you might possibly need. Very large deck overlooking the beach and the lake. Out in the country but close to town and the state park. We kayaked, rode bicycles and sat at the beach. I would definitely book this property again.

Escape to a peaceful place!
Perfect, everything you want and need. I feel like I’m at home away from home. Very clean and decorated very nice! I don’t want to leave. This is our second time staying here. We will definitely come again. The property owners are wonderful. Love everything about staying there.

Awesome vacation
We loved staying at this cottage on the beach. It was perfect. Private yard with pretty flowers and the beach was fantastic. We took many walks along the beach and kids loved swimming. The lights at night around the camp fire were a very nice touch. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was there. I really appreciate the owners renting out their cottage so my family could experience living on the beautiful shore of Port Austin.

Everything you could want in a rental summer get away. The lake house, privacy, the beach. Close to town and not a long drive to get there. It was wonderful. The owners were very helpful and accommodating, friendly, and able to get in touch with if l had any questions. We enjoyed our stay! Had great weather everyday.

The cottage was very clean and just as described. It was comfortable and had a well equipped kitchen and large windows overlooking Lake Huron. It is a beautiful location on the lake and we enjoyed relaxing on the large deck. There were beautiful sunsets and we enjoyed exploring the area, particularly Pointe Aux Barques Lighthouse.

Mike and Rose are fabulous landlords! The cottage is delightful. Beds and pillows comfy. They outside space is the BEST! Inside is spacious and decorated nicely. It is in great location, neighborhood is safe and quiet. We will definitely book again.

We had a lovely time in Port Austin, the beach on the property was great even considering high waters. Nice setup, great to have 2 bathrooms! Communication was friendly and easy check-in/check-out. Can't wait to come back :)

Perfect Lake House!
Our stay was great. The location is very convenient to both Caseville and Port Austin, or for just sitting on the lake and enjoying the view. The hosts were kind enough to allow us to drop in early and leave our luggage before some evening plans, and they walked us through the home and the logistics of it. Having a BBQ and a nicely equipped kitchen was super convenient so we could cook a meal ourselves. There is no central air in the house, but opening windows and running fans circulated the cool lake-side air very well. The master bedroom also opens directly to the deck and lake so you can have relaxing night-time background sounds of waves. The beach access and privacy was also great, and the size of the beach can vary a lot depending on the water level. The only thing to note for anyone looking to book in the future is the home and deck has a lot of steps here and there which could be difficult for anyone with limited mobility. Overall we loved the home and hosts and would stay there again in the future.

We had a wonderful time relaxing on the deck and swimming in the lake. The accommodation fit our needs perfectly for our family girls weekend (7 of us ranging from age of 8 to 69) There was a full bed, double bed, 2 twin air mattresses and a futon that worked well for all of us. I have already recommended this location to a friend and would definently rent this location again in the future. The restaurant that is within walking distance has great pizza as well.

Awesome home, great vacation!
This home is the perfect Michigan getaway! Nothing beats Michigan in the summertime, especially when you're staying in the perfect home steps away from beautiful Lake Huron. The property was very comfy, breezy, and the scenery was very relaxing. Wildlife was great...a local bald eagle and the host has flowers on the deck that constantly attracted hummingbirds. Port Austin was laid back and had enough to do to keep two five-year-olds entertained. The accommodations were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We bought groceries throughout the week and ate well at the house as well as the couple fun places in town. We look forward to coming back next summer if available.
