« Cute little place. A busy restaurant is attached and parking is pretty tight. You have to wait until the parking lot opens up at the end of the night to move your car into it. Otherwise some street parking available.
We were on the third floor so had to hit the maze of stairs to get to the top but it wasn't too bad.
Sits right in town which is really cute. Eateries are open pretty late if you look around. »
« Location: Perfect for us. Almost equidistant between Bowness and Windermere village, with easy access to both Orrest Head and Brant Fell walks, and restaurants at both ends.
Parking: Easy parking just outside for 3 cars, with additional 4 parking spaces near a bus shelter almost opposite of the lodge.
Hosts(s): Lovely welcome by Rich who was always around when needed, yet not intrusive at all.
Room: We had an upgrade to the large king room (Room 3 called "Windermere") on the ground floor....
« We enjoyed our stay at Kotel. Good location, good wifi connection. However we would have liked to have had an electric hob as with only a microwave cooking was rather limited. Also not easy to wash up as no plug in the sink. Fortunately there was an ice bucket I could use to wash up!!!. Crockery was also limited to 2 sets only. Had to check with staff on site re disposal of our rubbish as bins not very big. It would also be good that the Kotel staff supply a brush and dustpan for sweeping up the...

« This is my 2nd time staying at the Station Lodge. You can't beat the price, the location and both times I've stayed I had nice large rooms. It's literally across the street from the train station, and as this is the last stop on the train you literally don't hear any sounds from the train. AND the trailhead for the Orett trail is also literally across the street. This trail spiders out to many other trails. There are a ton of restaurants, shops, pubs and the awesome grocery store with a cafe...

« Hillthwaite feels staying in a family home rather than a hotel and the warm welcome certainly matches. The room was spacious and bedding extremely comfortable, which was perfect for a mini break in the area. Extra points for the bathtub (in addition to a full shower)! Breakfast was excellent and the staff is lovely. »

The lady on reception was very friendly and welcoming and explained everything to us including the wifi password and breakfast serving times, she also went to check the room was ready for us as we were a little early.
The room was clean and comfortable with a nice ensuite shower room with a small selection of toiletries, also tea coffee and biscuits in the room.
At breakfast the same lady was busy around the dining area taking orders and serving breakfasts which were very nice.
