Spacious Town House with Swimming Pool

Summary:
A classic period town house with large living rooms and plenty of space to accommodate up to 6 people. Ideally located for a city break, a base from which to explore Devon and Cornwall, or even for commercial contractors in need of flexible working and living space. Private swimming pool and outdoor entertaining area which has plenty of dining space and sun-loungers. This home is modern, comfortable, and stylish.

The Space:
Our home comprises a large hallway, open plan lounge and dining room, well-equipped kitchen with island, 3 double bedrooms (one en-suite) and a communal bathroom. An additional single put-me-up bed is available - this can be made up in the double bedroom to create a shared bedrooms. Please let us know if you would like this available for your stay, but please note there is an additional laundry fee for using it.

Free on-road parking is available. Fresh linen and soft cotton towels are provided, along with ample clothes storage in each of the bedrooms. There are two small balconies from the lounge and dining room overlooking the swimming pool to the rear and the garden to the front. Please note the swimming pool is not heated but does enjoy a sunny aspect in the afternoons. You will have sole use of the swimming pool during your stay but please be aware that our home is located in a town and there are other buildings that look out over it. Pool towels are available for guest use. Free on street parking. No dogs.

Guest Access:
You will have the whole property to yourself and there is a self check-in process on arrival. There is a ground floor apartment which is rented - the tenant has their own separate front door and will not need to encroach on your space at any time. They do not have access to the swimming pool. No pets

Getting Around:
Just a 2 minute walk to the local amenities in Stoke, including the bus stops, cafe's, village shops, pubs and takeaways. Alternatively, a 5 minute walk to Devonport Train Station will link you to Plymouth Train Station and the City Centre in one stop.

You will be a 4 minute drive to Devonport Dockyard and less than a 10 minute drive to places of historical interest, including the Barbican, Hoe & Royal William Yard. The Devon Expressway will link you to the surrounding coast and countryside of Devon and Cornwall so that you can easily explore Dartmoor, Rame Head, Whitsand Bay, Burgh Island, Mothercombe Beach
 to name but a few!

Other Things to Note:
Please note that there is no lifeguard and guests use the swimming pool (not heated) at their own risk. There are steps leading up to the front of the property although there is a hand rail for assistance if required. Please contact us in advance if you are concerned about access.

We have security cameras in place to monitor the entrances to the property whilst it is empty but they will be disabled throughout your stay.

Free on street parking. There are steps up to the front door. No dogs.

Interaction with Guests:
You will have the whole property to yourselves - Roost Property Management look after our guests for us.

Very nice place in a quiet neighborhood.Lovely poolHowever, there were a few things that didn't meet our expectations:The terrace seemed overgrown, and the table was held together with zip ties.The kitchen lacked large pans and pots, which made it difficult to cook for a family.

Absolutely beautiful place, great character and very nicely decorated. Having a pool was great. Unfortunately the weather wasn't so did take advantage of that, but would be great on a nice summers day. Facilities were also top notch we realy enjoyed our stay. If you are very well off and fussy, you may not enjoy it as much as we did, but recommend highly to those that are not.

The house has been decorated to a very high standard, but the reason for my booking was the use of the pool. The property is sold as a pool holiday (rare in the UK), but the pool was not usable in a safe manner, with loose tiling and sharp edges. You advised me that there were 'a few loose tiles', but only after payment had been made. The tiling around the pool is a trip hazard in several places and the mosaic tiling in the pool itself clearly has not been maintained for years, with hundreds of them loose and large gaps in the lining, with plant life growing from the bottom of the pool. The pool steps are so deep that I had difficulty getting in and out, let alone a small child. If I had a family there I would not have allowed children into the pool at all and you gave no warning of this. I find it difficult to believe that this facility would have passed any required risk assessments or safety checks. There was no net provided to scoop out the plants and wildlife that fell constantly into the pool. The garden was maintained to a bare minimum, with overhanging the walkways and barbecue. There was no green bin in the garden. It was by the front gate, overflowing, with several black bags alongside, so it seemed to me that there had been no waste collection for some time. No instructions how to find main TV channels, no Welcome Pack, only leftovers from previous guests. Finally, I wrote to the letting agent, Roost, about my concerns, and received no reply. Disgraceful.
