Petit hôtel sympa
2 nuits passées dans cet hôtel. Placé sur la 5a avenida. Donc, au coeur de Playa del Carmen. A 2 mn à pied de la plage, et à 5-10 mn de la station d'autobus ADO. Chambre spacieuse. Personnel sympa. Par exemple, n'ayant pas de serviette de plage, j'ai par curiosité demandé si je pouvais en louer une et on me l'a carrément prêtée. J'ai pu donc profiter de la plage. J'ai passé 2 bonnes journées dans cette ville.

I was pleased with the staff and service.The hotel is older, so the fridge was a little rusted around the door and wasn't really cold, but was o.k. for beverages.It had hot water, which didn't occur in other hotels where I've stayed. There is no elevator, which was fine for me, but others might find this a detriment. The bathroom window in the shower needs a privacy film on it, as there is another building with windows that face the bathroom window. The room was bright and pleasant.The hotel is right in the middle of the shopping area and restaurants and the beach-an east walk to wherever you want to go. I would definitely book this hotel again.

Very good hotel on 5th Ave
If you're not one of those pampered people who need to be spoiled then this is the hotel for you. There's no elevator or room service or hotel restaurant but you're right on 5th Ave where you can find all the food & drink you like. You're just a 5 minute walk from the beach and all the souvenirs and entertainment you can handle just outside the door. If you're afraid of a few stairs then ask for a main floor room. This place is in the middle of everything a tourist could ask for. If you're looking to catch a ferry to the island of Cozumel you're just a few blocks from the port.

Das Delfin Hotel ist direkt at 5ten Avenida gelegen. Somit ist die Lage sehr zentral und gut (2 min. zum Strand/ Restaurants/etc). Allerdings ist direkt neben dem Hotel eine Karaoke Bar. Wir sind nicht besonders lärmempfindlich, aber der Lärm durch die Bar war nicht auszuhalten. Man muss hierzu allerdings sagen, dass es bei vielen Hotel an der 5ten Avenida so ist. Aus dem Duschabfluss kam leider die meiste Zeit ein undefinierbarer Gestank (Kloake!?) Das Service Team des Hotels ist super nett. Z.B. dekorieren sie für die Gäste die Zimmer an besonderen Tagen wie am Valentinstag mit Rosen. Der Sicherheitsmann schläft in der Nacht allerdings immer und "wacht" somit nicht so wirklich :) Insgesamt für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ok, wir würden ein anderes Hotel mehr abseits der 5ten Avenida ausprobieren.

To loud at night, hotel surrounds by nightclubs.
We usually stay at all inclusive hotels but this time we wanted to experience the culture of Mexico and let me tell you that was the worst experience so many shootings at night five people were killed in Playa Del Carmen right next-door from our Hotel. The staff was really friendly and very little English, The air conditioner was breaking down couple times, in our coffeemaker we had a dead lizard so make sure to check your coffee maker. The water pressure is really low, sinks were clogged, The staff was really friendly and try to help us with all the problems that we had. So you guys decide what you want to do, Will not come back to this area to stay, otherwise vacation was fun.

Hotel limpio y cómodo, excelente para descansar
Todo bien, el servicio fue rápido, no nos hicieron esperar, el único tema fue que son 3 pisos y no hay elevador, fuera de eso, siempre fueron muy amables.

Ich, weiblich, war alleine unterwegs und war anfangs nervös wegen der Sicherheit. Das Personal im Hotel war jederzeit sehr hilfsbereit. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral direkt an der 5th Ave. Die Fussgängerzone war tags und nachts sehr belebt wodurch ich mich sehr sicher fühlte. Der einzige Negativpunkt war der Lärm, der von der Strasse ins Zimmer drang aber mit Ohrstöpsel konnte ich dennoch gut schlafen.

Hotel staff very friendly but limited in english except for one or two full time staff.Location superb on corner of fifth avenue and one block from beach.Immediate beach rocky but great sand and beach only two blocks away.Beds firm but comfortable,coffee maker in room but coffee not great.Takes two pucks to give you an ok cup.Older Hotel and rooms but all cement and rooms very quiet except for street noise at night . Bring ear plugs to sleep.TV has many many channels but only 4 or 5 in English.Real convenient hotel to get in and out of with short halls and small open air Lobby.Fridge in room was great to hold some Walmart groceries and kept very cold for food and water and beer!Staff gave us a late 1:30 p.m.to accommodate later flight.

a nice little place
We enjoyed our week long stay here last week. This location is the best of all worlds. On the pedestrian only avenue, so you can walk, sit out, and people watch, and right in the midst of every kind of restaurant, cafe, and nightlife, just one block from the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Kevin. The room (#4)was very large and extremely clean, the water was always hot, and plenty of free drinking water. Just a note: the description was for a balcony per room, but there really is only one or maybe two. But you can sit on the bench across the street and enjoy the neighborhood. A bargain!

NÃO HÁ OUTRO MELHOR QUE ESSE HOTEL PERTO DE TUDO!
EXCELENTE!!! Em especial ao funcionário jovem que fica lá, não lembro o nome dele, mas é muito educado, conversa e dá dicas para os hóspedes! Wi-fi muito bom e pega no quarto! Fiquei no quarto 2º andar, quarto nº 8 e não foi barulhento, pois tem janela que veda muito bem o som de fora. Dormia muito bem! Localização perfeita em Playa del Carmen. Só não tem café da manhã, mas isso não é problema pra mim! Tem restaurantes muito próximos com café, além disso, na esquina, tem o bom mercado OXXO. O hotel fica a cerca de 3 quadras da praia. A 4 quadras do Ferry Boat para ir a Cozumel. A 4 quadras das Vans que te levam a Vários lugares, como Akumal beach, Xel-há, Xcaret, Tulum, cenotes etc. E fica a cerca de 6 quadras, do Walmart hipermercado. VOLTARIA NELE COM CERTEZA!!!

In the middle of it all
Right in the middle of Playa, easy to get to the bus station or grab a cab if going out of town, walking distance to everything else. Hard Mexican beds but I just put the extra blanket under the sheet and all was well. Very helpful folks at the desk. I would stay here again without question.

El hotel en bueno en general la ubicacion es excelente,es un hotel para dormir y salir todo el dia a conocer lo que hay cerca de playa del carmen. Lo que si tiene que mejorar son los baños son viejos y podria pasar eso pero, falta mas limpieza y cambiar la cortina de baño por tenia moho y sucias. El trato del personal fue bueno muy amables. El aire acondicionado excelente y tv con muchos canales y internet gratis fue lo que me gusto

Отель расположен просто замечательно, непосредственно на 5 улице, в гуще туристической тусовки. Абсолютно ненавязчивый персонал, готовый всегда помочь. Безусловно, отель очень удобен для мобильных туристов, не сидящих в номере, а посещающих многочисленные достопримечательности и аттракционы Ривьеры Майя. В номере есть все необходимое и в рабочем состоянии: туалет, душ, телевизор, потолочный вентилятор, кондиционер, кофеварка и принадлежности. Уборка ежедневная. Номера по соотношению цена-качество отличаются и состоянием и видом из окон. Отсутствие завтрака в отеле нисколько не напрягает при обилии кафе и ресторанов вблизи. Море в пяти минутах ходьбы, рядом обменник с хорошим курсом. Самые большие впечатления, конечно не от отеля, а от Ривьеры Майя в целом.

Comfortable, convenient, economical hotel.
Hotel was as prsented in the pictures and write up. Staff was very helpful, responsive and friendly. Location very convenient,...right on 5th Avenue, heart of the tourist district, and a pedestrian street. Our peference was to stay in town rather than in a resort where you are confined, more or less, to the resort property. The location gave us an opportunity to walk around the streets of PDC away from the touristy area, interact with locals,and discover many small, local, restaurants and shops that provided a better experience for us. We were in Room #1, which is next to a small restaurant that played music, but it was off by 10:00. We did say something to the receptionist about the music the 2nd night we were there, and the next day they offered us another very nice room, but we decided to stay where we were and it worked out fine. Very clean, not luxurious, but comfortable, convenient, and economical. All in all a very good experience.

Great location, nice hotel!
The location is perfect - right in the center where all the action is. But it is quiet enough, the staff is super friendly and helpful, room was clean and beautiful, we got a room on the top floor, with a private balcony and lounge chirs. Free wi-fi in lobby and in the room! Downside is that there is no elevator (top floor with suitcases - not easy) and the water pressure was very low (but that's a general problem in Mexico hotels). Overall - we were really happy with our stay.

Just what i was looking for
As a single guy traveling alone this hotel was just what i was looking for..... simple, clean and affordable! It is located right on 5th avenue close to the beach and within walking distance of anything you would ever need such as restaurants, bars, shops, nightclubs, or grocery stores such as Wal-mart and MEGA. My room was on the top floor with a spacious roof top terrace with 2 sun loungers, also a table with 2 chairs. It was decorated with plants and had a partial ocean view to see the sunrises and a great view of 5th avenue to people watch. The room was very clean and had a safe for my valuables and a small refrigerator for keeping drinks and snacks in. The maid service did an excellent job and employees at front desk always had a smile on their faces to greet you and were willing to help you with whatever they could. There were water coolers on every floor for drinking water which was nice. The only drawback i could maybe give is if you have trouble climbing stairs as there is no elevator...which i do not so it was perfectly fine for me. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great little affordable place to stay right in the heart of Playa del Carmen. I will be staying here on future visits to Playa!

As in almost any property in PDC you have to be prepared to deal with noise form the street. Room was clean ,however this is a" Mexican Style " hotel and has the hard beds. Noise level was acceptable and the staff were helpful.

Good location
The hotel is right on the main tourist/pedestrian street, which makes it noisy in the evening, but the noise/music ends by 11pm. A room at the back or over side street may be quieter. The staff is very helpful. I printed out my boarding pass on their computer. Only a few speak much English. It is just one block from the beach, which is rather narrow at the bottom of 6th Street, especially at high tide. Excellent restaurants nearby, a variety of night life, tour opportunities. Karen's Steak house has excellent authentic music every evening. It is also 2 blocks from the ABO bus station, and 3 blocks from the central park (and a wider beach) and the ferry to Cozumel Island. Tours are available to nearby Mayan ruins and adventure/water/ amusement parks. Internet is available, but we did not use it.

The hotel was simple but very lovely. Our room had a TV, small fridge and no phone. The attendants were pleasant & helpful. We were right above the main street for shopping & restaurants. Comfortable but not fancy. We really enjoyed it.

Nothing fancy, but clean and decent.
We stayed just one night. Room 14 is awesome, has an attached private terrace on the roof and you can see the ocean from there. The room was clean and spacious. When I asked a hotel staff for the wifi pw and he didn't know, he ran down 3 flights of stairs to find out for me. Great price for room/location.

Great find!
Hotel Delfin has many strengths. They include: outstanding location, free WiFi, front desk staffed 24hrs., super friendly service by all staff employees and owners with regards to recommendations for restaurants, tours, etc., Very clean with reasonable pricing. Nice relief from the typical sterile hotel atmosphere, has all the basic amenities and gives a sense of place with character and cleanliness. We would (and will!) definitely return.

Our first visit to this hotel but have been visting area for 10 years. Even though on 5th ave, our room was quiet and had a lovely deck overlooking the street but very private. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was lovely and clean
