« Wonderfully scenic property along a creek. The extensive outdoor spaces were great and we enjoyed the comfortable seating by the fire pit. Communication with the host was timely. I would book again. A few notes for future travelers - the upstairs bedrooms are not furnished as shown in the photos - more like dorm bed frames now - not sure if this is temporary? « Trains, River, and Mountain view with enough room for a five-person family, and updated cold air conditioning and kitchen. The location is nice for deploying by car across the New River Gorge region. In West Virginia fashion, expect 3-7 coal trains a night at the nearby double crossing. Their horns can be startling if you’re a light sleeper. Our kids didn’t mind at all and loved the trains. Even the Amtrak Cardinal line runs through 3x a week at 10:30 am. « Loved staying here SO much! Everything was extremely well kept. It was so peaceful. Host was accommodating - letting us change our stay to a day later when our travel plans changed. Only thing worth noting is the 15min drive up the mountain on gravel through very rural area! Made us wonder if we were in the right place haha - but that rural setting is what makes it so lovely and peaceful. We definitely want to come back! »
