Villa du 18ème siècle - un joyau à apprécier sur la côte de Sorrente

Dans la ville de Piano di Sorrento, sur une falaise surplombant le port et la plage, immergée dans la végétation luxuriante de la Villa Fondi et de son musée, notre villa est entourée de son propre jardin privé sorrento, avec des pins centenaires, comme ainsi que des palmiers, des oliviers, des citronniers et d'autres arbres fruitiers. La Villa fait partie de l'Italian Historical Mansion Association.

La villa est composée de trois étages:

Rez-de-chaussée: deux pièces d'entrée, une grande pièce «serra» avec des vitraux ouvrant sur le jardin; un salon, une grande salle à manger, une salle de bain avec douche, et une nouvelle cuisine entièrement équipée avec lave-vaisselle et lave-linge. Le jardin a un sol en céramique et est meublé pour votre confort.

Premier étage: Un salon. Deux grandes chambres avec deux lits simples chacune. Une grande chambre avec un lit double King et un lit simple. Deux salles de bain: une avec douche et l'autre avec baignoire et douche séparées dans deux pièces différentes

Dernier étage (grenier): un salon, deux chambres avec deux lits simples chacune, une salle de bain avec baignoire et douche et une petite cuisine entièrement équipée. Toutes les pièces ouvrent sur une grande terrasse avec une vue splendide sur les jardins et le golfe de Naples.

Garage pour une voiture. Un parking avec gardien à seulement 100 mètres de la maison.

En face de la Villa, un ascenseur entièrement rénové vous amènera, en quelques secondes, à la marina / port / plages de Piano di Sorrento où vous pouvez rester sur le bord de la mer pour nager ou prendre un verre et un déjeuner! Aussi, vous pouvez louer un bateau pour une excursion en mer de la magnifique côte de Sorrente!

Distance du centre de Sorrente: environ 2 km, 30 mn à pied, 10 mn en voiture, 15 mn en bus.
Distance de l'aéroport de Naples: 49 km, 45 mn en voiture.
Distance de l'aéroport de Rome Fiumicino: 253 km, deux heures et demie.
Distance du port de Sorrento pour ferrys, hydroptères et bateaux à Capri, Ischia, Naples, Amalfi, Positano: 20mn en bus.
Distance de la gare à Pompei, Ercolano, Naples, centre de Sorrente: 15mn à pied.




La maison sera offerte dans des conditions parfaites pour la location à la semaine, plutôt du samedi au samedi. Le loyer comprend l'eau, la consommation d'électricité normale (eccess seront facturés), le gaz, la télévision par satellite, les appareils, le linge hebdomadaire et le nettoyage initial. Sur demande, un service de nettoyage supplémentaire de la maison peut être offert (15 € heure) et changement de linge supplémentaire (15 € chacun). Sur demande, des dîners et déjeuners napolitains typiques peuvent être préparés par notre cuisinier «Rosa», ainsi que vos plats préférés.

Le centre de Sorrente est très spécial pour faire du shopping.
À Piano di Sorrento, vous trouverez tout ce dont vous avez besoin: supermarchés, magasins de toutes sortes, restaurants, cafés, banques, bureaux de poste, etc.

Un dépôt de 25% du loyer est nécessaire pour confirmer une réservation. Le dépôt n'est pas remboursable si l'annulation est faite plus de trois mois avant l'arrivée. Le solde est dû 30 jours avant votre arrivée.

Un dépôt de garantie supplémentaire de 500,00 euros (ou 650 dollars) sera demandé à l'arrivée et restitué au moment du départ, sauf déductions pour dommages ou autres dépenses.

Très bien situé pour visiter la région

Literie en bon état et linge de maison (draps, serviettes, nappes, torchons) bien fourni et en bonne quantité. Un jardin avec des arbres magnifiques mais qq moustiques . Une maison de caractère avec de grandes pièces communes et au dernier étage:une magnifique terrasse avec une vue sur la mer. A signaler : qq petits problèmes de plomberie.

Villa Jenny is a Win For Us

We booked this trip for 3 adult couples to enjoy an extended stay in Sorrento. Villa Jenny easily became a highlight of our trip. Because we had a late September stay, one couple was comfortably able to use the 3rd floor as their suite. The views of Sorrento and the Mediterranean Sea are breathtaking. Sunsets were spectacular up there. The other bedrooms were comfortable and easy to live in. Suggest putting twin beds together for couples would be helpful. The ground floor living area is as photos show, handsome rooms, towering with archways and ancient design. Lots of photos and many objects d’art that filled the space making it cozy living. As expected, furniture was older and many covered. Most of the furniture is comfortable seating, just be careful of rickety chairs that may not support heavy weight. The bathrooms were clean and plenty of linens, however, anticipate plumbing not to be up to 21st century standards. The kitchen was well stocked with essential cooking and utensils. We had Suzy cook one breakfast and two dinners. She’s an outstanding cook and we highly recommend asking at least one meal made for you while staying. The courtyard was perfect for walking, we were not in season for the many fruits, but would easily have taken advantage of picking and using during our stay. Check out the views at the end of the courtyard. Expect noisy cars and scooters during high traffic periods, it is on a major roadway, so entering and exiting the house requir

Villa Review

We were a group of 8 people staying at the villa. I had arranged the trip and was very excited to stay in a villa. You can tell that Villa Jenny in its youth had been magnificent, however currently it is in need of love, tender care, and repair. The following are my impressions. What I liked: 1. The upstairs patio on 3rd floor is wonderful, with beautiful sea views. 2. The living room and dining room still hold wonderful old world charm with thick walls and high ceilings. 3. Vito was quick to respond to email questions which was much appreciated. Issues: Repairs are needed throughout villa, for example bathroom showers get floors wet and slippery, some windows do not open, etc. My major concern is that some floor tiles in bedrooms and baths on top 2 floors are cracked & broken. This is a hazard and they need to be repaired or replaced. Advice to renters (totally optional): The bedrooms are not equivalent. Top floor has very small rooms with sloping ceilings that you can touch with your hand. Feels like a dorm or summer camp room. 2nd floor rooms have high ceilings and windows. So the villa experience is not the same for all staying. I'd suggest not using 5 bedrooms, only using 2nd floor bedrooms (3 rooms) and keeping 3rd floor as entrance to the lovely patio.

Full of character

Beautiful old property, full of character and great location. We had an excellent meal prepared by Susie and our host was always available. We had a few minor issues with the washroom on the main floor and the dishwasher and clothes washer could not be used at the same time without tripping the breaker. Good stay, thank you Vito.

Incredible Villa!

This property is very unique! It is a mansion in a tropical environment! It is very spacious yet feels like home. We had all the room we needed and so much more! The most important need for my accommodation was a space to spend time with my young adult children and my two month old grandson. We had breakfasts together out in the garden! It felt like a paradise eating outside and exploring the large garden. We had two meals made by chef Rosa and they were amazing! Homemade gnocchi, chicken and pork chops, tiramisu for dessert. We also had fish and zucchini pasta and gluten free cake for dessert! My daughter is gluten free and Rosa made special accommodations for her! I had instant response from Angela who looked after all our needs. The booking was seamless and Vito helped me to organize everything we needed for the baby and while in Italy I needed a train ticket but was having difficulty booking and Vito looked after me! The whole team went out of their way to see we had a trip of a lifetime! I would definitely recommend this Beautiful villa! ♥️!

Two experiences in one villa

We, an extended family of eight adults and two teenagers, spent one week in Villa Jenny early November. Our expectations were high when arriving, based on pictures and previous reviews. And in many areas those expectations were met: - Interaction with the owner, Vito, and the caretaker, Angela, was swift and easy from start to finish. - Rosa was wonderful, she made us breakfast, cooked us dinner and made every meal an experience. - Francesco and his drivers were reliable, timely and friendly. - The two bottom floors, the garden and the terrace lived up to, or in part exceeded our expectations, although time had taken its toll on some of the furniture. That part of our experience was 5 star. The upper floor was an entirely ”different cup of tea”. The pictures presented in the ad are accurate, but none of the 38 pictures show the bedrooms on the upper floor (apart from a glimpse of one bed in a picture showing the terrace). The rest of the pictures show the same bedrooms on the middle floor from different angles! The entire upper floor is in need of attention, from the broken tiling to wallpaper and restoring glass doors so that the rain stays on the outside when the rain is heavy. We were woken up the last night by water literally pouring through our closed window. To sum things up: If you are seven people or less, all sleeping in the middle floor and just using the upper floor to get to the terrace, you are in for a lovely experience in an 18-century Italian Villa. If you are eight or more, be aware of the fact that the upper floor is of a completely different standard.

Härligt hus med jättefin terass

Ett speciellt hus med atmosfär. Är förstås inte lika fint som på bilderna. Mer slitet i verkligheten. Lite struligt med toaletterna och inte världens bästa sängar. Möbler slitna och delvis sönder. En jättefin terrass där man kan hänga och ha det fint i princip hela dagen...om det inte är för varmt. En ganska fin trädgård men lite mörk och dyster. Mycket och störande trafik alldeles utanför dörren till huset och mycket trafik i hela området. Dåligt med plats för att gå/cykla. Lite svårt att ta sig ut i naturen bortanför alla vägar och bebyggelse. Krävs nästan hyrbil eller scooter som man helst inte vill hyra i den täta trafiken och bebyggelsen. Annars fint område med mycket att se och uppleva.

Family vacation

We had a wonderful time in Piano. Easy walk to the train station, and Andrea arranged a private boat tour to Capri that was the highlight of our trip. Rosa cooked us a delicious meal, definitely have her cook for you. It was very Hot, actually a heat wave, so with no air conditioning, it was pretty warm inside the villa. All our needs were addressed very quickly. A great host, property manager, and chef.

Absolutely fantastic experience in Piano Di Sorrento

I have stayed in this villa with my family and friends for 5 nights! This was an incredible treat. The photos do not do justice to this place! This is a huge house (3 levels) with sweeping views of the coast and sea perched right over the small port and beach below. The house feature an incredible garden (very large) and a rooftop deck. Right across the house is an elevator (1 EU) that will take you down to the beach and port from where you can take trips to Capri. The only negatives are the busy street (look both ways before crossing) and there is no easy place to park to load/unload your vehicle if you have one. My advice is to not rent a car. Other than that this was truly an amazing villa with unparallel views!

Treat yourself like a Contessa!

I search for old properties and this 1700’s Villa was great! The pictures are accurate, Marvelous glass doors, huge rooms, lots of stairs. On the upper floor you will see an amazing view of the Bay of Naples from the large top patio-Wow! Everyday I walked through the large garden listening to the birds. At garden end there is a view of the Marina & village below. If you can relax and accept that this Villa has wrinkles & cracks, (built when United States was just becoming a country) you can experience the feel of old world elegance. We had Rosa cook for us.! Wonderful Sorrento style food. (We had pasta, fresh fish and salad from her garden). Just ask Angela the property manager she will assist you. This Villa is in a small town outside Sorrento. We walked everywhere. A few minutes walk to the bakery, grocery and a daily visit for Gelato. I enjoyed my stay and I think I fell in love with Villa Jenny. -SDavis

18th Century Villa Jenny

Absolutely Fabulous Villa perfect for our getaway to the Amalfi Coast. Excellent service and our cook Rosa was delightful! She made 5 star delicious meals to include homemade pasta, veal, and fish. All meals included wine and desert! Angela checked on us and helped provide transportation and interpret as needed. This Villa had its own private garden and outdoor space which was delightful. Only wish we would have had more time to enjoy it, but we were too busy seeing the sites. Would highly recommend this lovely Villa!!!

Memorable and happy time and place!

Angela manages your stay beautifully! She is very responsive and friendly. We had Rosa teach us how to make gnocchi and the poached fish she made along with her tiramisu was delicious. Her personality is just as delightful! We had three adult couples so everyone was able to have a good deal of space. The third floor would be tight for two adult couples. Their garden space is huge and it was so peaceful. There are many delicious lemons in the yard-Sorrento lemons are so juicy. My husband made lemonade that we all enjoyed. The Villa Fondi is right next door and I would recommend going there for the view and the archeological museum. The Monday street market was around the corner and was fun to go to. I would ask for a couple of names of drivers. We had Francesco who was very reliable and he will pick you up quickly for example when we did not want to walk home in the rain after dinner. He also offered a better rate than the cabs. He took us on two days trips. However, we would probably not hire him again as he was rude. He got better when we made it clear that we were not happy. I would highly recommend this villa to stay at!

A delightful step back into a simpler time

I chose this property because of it’s old world charm, but the pictures do not even do justice to the experience we all had at Villa Jenny. My daughters and my very special friend planned this trip to make my 60th Birthday wish come true! The rooms, the gardens, the rooftop views were all spectacular, but in addition we were treated like family by Vito, Emma, Francesco and Rosa who attended to every need and question. My birthday dinner was prepared by Rosa- the most delicious gnocchi I’ve ever tasted, along with fresh picked tomatoes, lettuce from the garden, bread,wine, and a very special dessert- tiramisu! I’d advise anyone to have Rosa cook for you- you will want to take her home! The villa is close to the beach, Sorrento, and was a great home base for trips to Positano, Capri, Ravello, and Ischia, which we all enjoyed with Francesco always ready to drive us wherever we needed to go. A Genuine Experience!!!!

Everything about this villa was fantastic! First, it was huge and very spacious. Only one double bed (the rest twins) so plenty of options for kids to sleep but unconventional for couples but it’s manageable. Rustic and authentic, definitely 18th century, and very unique. If you are looking for all the modern amenities this place probably isn’t for you but if you appreciate old world charm and you are adaptable, it’s a gem. Best part about the house was the large stone deck on the third floor that offers an amazing expansive view of the Bay of Naples and sunsets! The biggest challenge we faced was motivating ourselves to leave the deck to go down to the kitchen on the first floor (there is a small kitchen on the third floor where we kept our alcohol but with 5 kids we were constantly missing something). Second, the location is great if you don’t want to be buried in tourist hell. You can get to the Piano di Sorrento stop on the Circumvesuviana, and it’s a 10 minute walk to the villa (we did it with luggage). Then you can access various places from that train station including Pompeii, Sorrento, etc. So, you don’t need a car, and there isn’t anywhere to park it on the property (though there is a public lot very close by). Third, there are a few local beaches that are a 10-15 minute walk down the hill or you can take the elevator but they charge 1 euro per person and there can be lines to get down or up. So we just walked down a switchback with amazing views. The beach is quaint and there is food and drinks! It costs 5 euro per chair and umbrella, very reasonable if you compare it to Positano ($20 per person to get on most beaches). Last but certainly not least, Emma and Rosa are fantastic. Rosa is very sweet, and we had her cook for us twice and it was great. The night before our departure we learned that the circumvesuviana was going on strike (we were planning to take this to Naples so we could continue on to Siena). Both Emma and Rosa were kind enough to come to the house and help us locate a driver to get us to Naples on time and at a great price too. Overall, the experience couldn’t have been much better. This is an authentic Italy experience that represents a far preferable alternative (for us) to the hustle and bustle of Sorrento and especially Positano. Stay here, save money, and visit those places on a day trip or for dinner. Just make sure you get home for those sunset views!

Fantastic week in a fantastic place

Much better than our high expectations. The villa is very big, with a large garden and from the roof terrace you have a great view. The lift to the sea is just outside the entrance to the villa.Just perfect.

Villa Jenny is incredible and Rosa makes the experience unforgettable!

We had a wonderful time in Sorrento and absolutely loved Villa Jenny! The location was perfect-right across the lift to the beach and just over a mile away from the center of Sorrento. The villa itself is spectacular! There were 7 of us ranging from 10-52 years old and we had room to spare! You MUST invite Rosa to cook for you! Homemade authentic Italian meals with multiple courses of fresh food with ingredients picked from the garden out back. Francesco provided transportation from the airport and to several of our tours and was very helpful with local knowledge. Vito was extremely responsive and helpful before and during our trip. Emma was a wonderful hostess and offered support in getting around and local adventures (such as an art experience!) Overall it was our favorite family vacation to date, mostly due to the combined hospitality of this team!

GREAT WAY TO STAY IN SORRENTO AND HAVE ACCESS TO THE COSTIERA AMALFITANA

The house was plenty big for all 6 of us and only a few minutes away from the main center by car. It's quite nice to take the elevator down to the water front, have dinner or a gelato and just enjoy the beauty. The location was perfect for us. We enjoyed the gardens. Emma, the house manager took very good care of us, cooked an amazing dinner, and even sent us off in her usual warm manner. I highly recommend it. It was a great way to accommodate all of us and get the feel of living like an Italian!

This place is beautiful!

Villa Jenny is gorgeous, a ton of space on a beautiful piece of property. A little off the beaten path if you want to be in Sorrento but within walking distance to beach and everything in Piano Sorrento. Francesco is very accommodating for driving anywhere you want to go and can take you himself on a driving tour of the Amalfi coast and Pompei. He also has great recommendations for restaurants and quick places to grab a bite. Also make sure to ask Rosa to make you a traditional Italian meal. She’s a wonderful cook. Only down side to our stay was that we were traveling in April and the villa is not heated, so we made good use of heaters and blankets. I think it would have been amazing to stay here in the summer with all the windows open and the breeze coming in off the sea.
