We are very shocked by your reply! We are sorry that you didn't have an enjoyable time at the Sou Wester North as that is our primary goal for each of our guest. This large house (9600 sq. ft.) is divided into two large units and we are very open about that in our write-up (there is no fine print). Both units have unique features which makes both sides quite nice (see the other reviews) our maintenance room sits right between the two units which keeps things very quiet. Yes if you go outside you will see other people in the neighborhood, this property sits in an absolutely gorgeous classic Maine fishing village, not in the woods surrounded by trees. We do our very best to protect everyone's privacy, with landscaping, deck dividers, sound proofing materials, etc. But at the same time we can't eliminate all people and noises, but certainly do our best and most guest don't have an issue. The water comes from a reverse osmosis system that gets tested every month (required by law) and it is safe to drink. Living on the ocean can be a challenge and having fresh water is an issue on the whole coast of Maine. I wish you would have let us known of the issue as we could have looked into it. We have since your review and the water was just recently tested and certified by the state inspectors. Most guest like the commercial sinks as they are large enough to do all the dishes and then some. We will take your thoughts and maybe look for a different design to faucets. We do value our guest comments and we try to improve all of our properties every year. Again we apologize that your stay wasn't a pleasant one, for all of our future guest, if you see something wrong as minor as a burned out stove top, or a broken DVD player please let Bill our property manager know, he will fix it as quickly as he can. I promise you, we are trying to give our guest the best possible vacation they can have and we can't do that unless you tell us there is a problem. We assume all of our guest are having a great time, because it really is so beautiful there .

I am glad you all had a great time at the Sou wester, I want to make sure people that read this review don't get mixed up. I moved this guest to the other side of the property which is a duplex. I moved them to the three bedroom South side (property #186651) which has a fireplace and third floor widows walk which this side (the four bedroom North side) doesn't have a fireplace or third floor widows walk. We strive to make sure everyone of our guest have the very best time. Both sides are extremely nice and we appreciate the review!!!!

We do apologize that the lock box keys were left inside the property, not something that usually happens. We are sorry our onsite property manager didn’t promptly pick up the phone when you called. He usually does answer but was at a family birthday party in town and forgot his cell phone in the car. We always tell our guest you can always call myself (John) or Bill our onsite property manager who lives right next door and usually handles any issue within minutes. I live right in town (Brunswick) and worst case I can get down to the point in about 30 minutes. In this case I was able to handle the issue over the phone. I talked to the guest and had them walk to the front of the house I was ready to come down to the point and handle the issue myself if we weren’t able to resolve it over the phone.Not an excuse in anyway, it should have never happen and we are truly sorry. As for the dirty floors, we have passed the complaint onto our cleaning contractor. We pride ourselves on providing the highest quality properties along the coast. We will continue to press our cleaning contractor on our high standards that we hope all of our guest will experience. When you stay at one of our properties we want to create memorable experiences that will last a life time. We truly mean that so we do appreciate the feedback!!!!
