« We had a really good stay at this property. It’s located in the small town of Shady Spring, which was quiet and peaceful, but still a great location overall. The house is about 10 minutes north of Winterplace Ski Resort, which made it perfect for our ski trip, and about 15 minutes south of Beckley where you can find everything you need—restaurants, groceries, and shopping.The host was great and answered all of our questions quickly, which made the stay smooth and stress-free. « Loved staying here SO much! Everything was extremely well kept. It was so peaceful. Host was accommodating - letting us change our stay to a day later when our travel plans changed. Only thing worth noting is the 15min drive up the mountain on gravel through very rural area! Made us wonder if we were in the right place haha - but that rural setting is what makes it so lovely and peaceful. We definitely want to come back! »

« This place was perfectly suited for my family (ages 29 to 88)! The wraparound porch and views were our favorite part, but we also enjoyed the fire pit, the game room, and the big open feel of the living/dining room with lots of natural light. « Owners thought of every detail, even providing coffee, paper products (minus tissues), firewood and firestarter sticks. They came by and checked on us, were not intrusive at all. Very helpful, friendly and concerned that everything was ok, and suggested hiking trails nearby. Definitely recommend a stay here if you are looking for a relaxing time, beautiful sunsets and stunning mountain views. »
