When I arrived I had to give a 100 dollar security deposit as outlined in the sign on. The guy at the desk tried to make me pay 200 until I pointed out what was written on the page. It was a bed for a short time and nothing else to say about it.

I booked a room with either 2 king size beds or one king size 2 singles, as I was travelling with my son. I rang the hotel on Thursday morning (22/2/24) specifically to confirm this arrangement. I was told by the receptionist I spoke to that, yes, she’d make a note that we got 2 king beds. However, when I checked in, I was informed that no such room was available. Nor had a note been made on the computer. I was given a room with one king bed & a sofa bed. This was not what I had booked, been assured of, and paid for (in October last year). The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable. Very disappointed. A plus is the free parking.

Bar the 2 water leaks in the roof in the bathroom, (definitely not laying blame as things happen) it was a short and sweet stay, had everything we needed, very clean room. Thank you will come back again.

Mould is built up in the bathroom. Air con blows air however does not get cold and makes the room uncomfortable. Although the room looked like it had been cleaned, it smelt like wet dog and was damp. The vibe of the whole place was unclean and dirty and felt like it had years of baked on grease, dirt, dust and mould holding the walls up and together. The place makes you feel like it is more targeted to people looking to rent and pay for a room by the hour as opposed to having an enjoyable overnight/few days stay.

Amazing Views and Comfortable beds
Really liked this stay. The hotel is good. Staff were fantastic, front desk was professional and the housekeeping and other staff were very friendly and helpful. Just not the most streamlined process with the hotel deposit.

The place was mostly clean which was really the most important thing to me. It's an old hotel so yes it's a bit tired looking (just don't look too hard) and in need of some TLC and renovations but hey, you get what you pay for. There was a permanently unpleasant odour coming from the hallway on our floor but not from the room itself (a combination of cigarettes, vomit, and toilet smells) that was constant during our 3 night stay, hopefully just a one-off occurrence. Convenient location in South Perth, undercover parking is available which was a God-send in Perth's January heat, staff were always polite and helpful. Would definitely stay again if needed.

It was convenient for the bus to Freemantle and the airport. It looks abit tired in some areas and could do with a spruce up. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

I have utilised Metro branded hotels for many years, both business and pleasure. They represent value for money and convenience. Unfortunately, this hotel had two main things occur, the first is that we noticed that one of the powerpoints had been pushed through, partially exposing wires (see photo), the other was the air-con started to leak water. When we rang about the air-con, we were told that the set temperature needed to be raised and this would stop the leaking. It should be noted at this stage the room was still warm. We raised the temperature to 23c as suggested, but it continued to leak through the night. We placed towels and the bin in place to ensure it didn't damage the room. This was an uncomfortably warm night for myself and my family. We won't stay at this Metro again, and will think twice about other properties in the franchise in the future.

We checked-in late at 9pm on New Year Eve. The staff was nice and friendly, yet he can’t retrieve my room booking details which I have placed order and fully paid in mid November. He explained clearly that Hotels.com booked my room through other agencies so the data was failed to drop into the hotel system. Lucky that we got into the last hotel room, yet nightmare came as this is the first time I met a big cockroach on the floor as I got into a hotel room. This is the most memorable hotel stay that I have in 2023.

Hotel is old, the inside is maintained reasonably well but the outside is a bit shabby. Staff are friendly and helpful, laundry and gym are basic but functional, rooms are reasonably clean.

Absoloutley no compassion , consideration , compramise or courtesy...my son and i missed flights an had absolute nightmare of a day, then booked through wotif, and why it changes the dates to a month ahead , had me completley unaware it did such until finally making it to the hotel,, walk in to be told no reservation , its for the very same day but one month ahead, wtfffff...i nearly broke down, i explained this, asked if any rooms were available id just paid 120 something , missed our flight, couldnt buy another plane ticket at the airport , had my parents and i trying to get us on another flight, by 6 .30 pm after driving 2.hr from eaton, near bunbury, and entire day lost then to have nothing, no refund no cancellation unless i want to lose the 80 percent of the room cost, couldnt change the dates, we walked out i cried an had not enough finances to pay another room, we drove the 2.5 hours all the way back home , and had to return the very next morning ..as for the dec booking well i couldnt be there, i tried to rebook and frankly they got single mums 120 dollars , by daylight robbery

Good Morning Jo,I am sorry to hear about your experience at the hotel upon arrival after a very stressful time at the airport. Unfortunately, the night in which you arrived at the hotel on 14th November, the hotel was at 100% occupancy so could not accommodate a change of date, or if it could be accommodated a change in price would have been applicable, and the price booked incorrectly for a month in advance could not have been honoured as that deal would not have been applicable for a same day booking. I am confident that our front desk team would have explained all alternative options to find accommodation along with how to get a refund for the incorrect date and I am surprised not to have heard from you sooner so that we could arrange a refund via Wotif. We may have been limited to a solution on the day in which you arrived but we defiantly could have improved the situation between the arrival date and booked date.If you wish to discuss this further please call the hotel and I will be more than happy to chat further.
