My recent stay at Attika Hotel was disappointing. Despite paying in advance, I didn't receive timely self-check-in information, despite reminders on the arrival date and time, causing issues with accessing my room. The hotel's parking payment process was poorly communicated, requesting payment via email while I was on a flight to Perth. Withholding check-in details due to non-payment of parking seemed unfair, especially since my accommodation was already paid for.
Failure to use a secure payment method. Photo of my credit card details was requested via email for deposit and parking. Due to the check-in issues, I was nearly stranded outside for the night without access to my room, which was extremely frustrating.
Upon finally accessing my room, I was appalled by its state: very dirty pan, damaged and missing cooking utensils, and a pizza box under the bed. This suggests a lack of attention to cleanliness and maintenance.
However, I must mention that the hotel's location was good, with many restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Unfortunately, this wasn't enough to make up for the issues I experienced.
