« A 200 year old pub and inn - interesting ! Unfortunately our room was fairly horrible, we definitely got the hotels.com room : 200 year old mattress, wall view, kitchen vents under the window and lots of noise when we (or the neighbours) ran any water. Food in the evening was good and breakfast ok (very dingy dining room). Everything needs an overhaul. The staff were great though ! »

« All good. Allison and Graham are perfect hosts. They also have a coffee shop on site, and Graham's homemade cheese scones are amazing. 😋 »

« Situated in the very centre of Kelso, convenient place to stay when exploring the area. Checkin was done very easily, with clear instructions sent beforehand. There is a Greggs just in front of the hotel, and also several restaurants and takeaways in close vicinity. There was double glazing in the room, and hence better insulation. »

« Room was lovely and cosy, clean and did the job for our two day stay. TV was a bit hit or miss. Only one small mirror in bathroom but no electric socket near the bathroom for drying or straighening hair, mirror in actual bedroom would have been very beneficial. »

« Nous avons été très déçus. Nous nous attendions à beaucoup plus étant donné les bons commentaires au sujet de cet hôtel. Le prix est beaucoup trop élevé par rapport à ce qui offert.Très petite salle de toilette avec moquette au sol; lavabo dans la chambre. Longs délais avant de pouvoir obtenir de l'eau chaude. Mauvais éclairage partout. Moquette sale et usée. Pas de place pour circuler au pied du lit. Pas de chauffage la nuit. Pas de place pour les valises. Pas de séchoir à cheveux même si...

« We enjoyed a fantastic 2 night trip over the bank holiday weekend. This was a lovely place to stay, beautifully decorated throughout, VERY comfortable beds, very clean. Its in a peaceful location (2 minutes from the Chillingham cattle visitor centre). Our host Mhairi couldn't have been more thoughtful or welcoming during our stay.
