Emplacement face à l'océan idéal. Mais pas grand chose autour. Immeuble très vieillot. Odeur pas très agréable dans les chambres. Ménage douteux. Petit déjeuner se limitant aux toast, œuf dur, céréales, café. Restaurant attenant qui vend des snacks, idéal pour le midi avec les enfants très coûteux. Et transat sur la plage de l'hôtel payant, ce qui n'est pas indiqué au départ. Mais heureusement la mer est belle et la plage aussi.

We were pleasantly surprised by what a charming, laid back vibe it had. Booked a paio room around the pool, which could be iffy. But it was great. Sliding door to outside pool area with loungechairs right by out door, or infront of a low wall looking right out at thecsandy beach and ocean, only steps beyond the pool and over a lityllook at the moon and hear the waves. Great find. We played 2 of the courses in Pawleys Island and would come back in a heartbeat to play moree bridge walkway over a dune. Super quiet and clean beach. Make sure exhaust fan works!
The room we had had a great view of the ocean, but the exhaust fan in the bathroom was missing and showers became a sauna. Also, there were gaps at the door and above the AC so humidity was pulled in making it difficult to cool the room. The front desk person checking me out messed up and double billed me for room (and other stuff) on 2 different cards. It took a week to drop off. We had to go to a different location for breakfast, but it was a buffet so it was worth it!

The floors were not well cleaned from the last guests, I don't think. They appeared to not have been mopped and were sandy. The kitchen area by the oven had not been well cleaned either. Service was excellent as usual but more attention to room cleaning is needed.

Great view, room need remodel.
Room was great being 6th floor, ocean front, but needs a total remodel. Old sliding doors, old furniture. Pillows were super hard. It was a great area though. We loved Pawleys Island.

The location was perfect because it’s right there by the beach….especially the oceanfront view. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The building can use some TLC ie. Update bed and furnitures. Also, need bathroom remodeling and new shower fixtures. We also like that complimentary breakfast at Coastal Dish.

Really disappointed this time
Paid $300 for one night for a room not on the ocean which is what the pictures indicated on hotels.com. not even remotely in my budget but splurged for what i thought was ocean front. Between the hotel and hotels.com NOTHING was done. Have used hotels.com for years and have stayed at this hotel and the sister hotel for 10 years. Im super disappointed.

However, after researching your reservation and check in we noted that the unit provided was a Resort View Residential 2 Bedroom Villa and was indeed what your reservation was booked as. We do offer several photos on our website that show the different unit types and views. Again, I am sorry that you were unhappy with the unit.

About what you would expect from an older hotel. Stayed there many times years ago and compared some of the staff was not as pleasant as before which I found disappointing. Overall the stay was pleasant and will stay again when traveling to the coast.

The ONLY breakfast option is as 1.7 miles away, my family and I traveled by airline only and not able to eat in till 11:30 cabana cafe opened. Front desk staff, piss poor attitude on info concerning change of garbage, supposed to deliver a dust pan so I could sweep the floor, never received. Day of check out they were knocking on the door to clean then.no Breakfast and no light cleaning are the reason I’m leaving a review , two important amenities

We will certainly share the feedback.Our breakfast has been relocated due to renovation in our own kitchens. Our plan for 2024 is a completely renovated restaurant area on two floors that will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday. Fun getaway, set your expectatoins correctly.
Staff was very nice and friendly. Overall the property just needs attention as it is older. It is a convenient location and the amenities (Pool, beach access) are great. The breakfast was offsite due to renovations and the quality of the breakfast was not good.

We have stayed at this property several times. There was a mix up through Expedia when booking so we didn’t have our oceanfront that we paid for. And no reduction of rate which was extremely disappointing. The room was ok at first glance but the bathroom door & walls were filthy. The shower didn’t drain. The fridge was falling apart. The coffee pot did not have an automatic shut off we learned after forgetting to turn off one day. The remote in the master only partially worked. Staying here is a crap shoot on which individual room you will get & the condition that it is in

THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY
We had an enjoyable time during our stay. However, it was disappointing to find the place in poor condition. Our room was sandy, and there was mold in the shower. I realize that it was the end of the season but was disappointed in that regard. The food and general atmosphere were pleasant as was the staff but a lot of them looked worn out. For the monetary value, I would probably not come back. This facility is in bad need of a remodel to bring it back to where it was 30 years ago when I first visited it. Unfortunately, many of the hotels and motels have not been kept up in Myrtle Beach over the past 30+ years.
