Great residence in the heart of the Marais

This was a great apartment in the heart of a great area in Paris. Right from the start our host gave us great directions and we were able to drop of our bags to go explore Paris. This quiet apartment had lots of space with a great kitchen, nice beds and shower. We really enjoyed our stay and visited some great restaurants, boulangeries, and museums close by.

Delightful Apartment in the Marais!

The beautiful door, on a quiet street opens to a cobblestone courtyard, then a grand staircase which brings you to a wonderful apartment with all the amenities you could need for your stay.I, from Boston, MA and my friend from Boulder, CO met in Paris and enjoyed our stay here. The apartment is clean and delightful. The beds are comfortable and we enjoyed opening the windows to fresh air each morning. There is Air Conditioning and heat, but we were there from May 7, through May 19, 2025 and never needed either one.Our host had Lolita meet us and show us how everything worked upon our arrival. They provide coffee and we were able to breakfast in each day before our adventures.Any questions we had were answered promptly by the owners.It is so convenient to museums, shops, Farmer's Market, great restaurants, etc. It was a pleasure to step out and enjoy Paris.96 steps up and down, but a t 69 and 66, we had no problem, and realized we would bring less luggage next year! They have a washer and dryer, so pack less!This is a charming gem. I highly recommend it.

Perfect Paris Spot

This property checks all the boxes. You'll adore the Le Marais neighborhood. There is so much to see and do right outside your door. The location has easy access to public transportation. Do yourself a favor and pick up the train/metro/bus pass at the airport. It's worth the money.The apartment has so much French charm. We had four adults and everyone fit in comfortably. The kitchen is lovely. The loving room area gave us plenty of space to spread out and relax after full days of seeing the sights.The host makes the whole experience easy. Yes, the are four flights of stairs, but Paris is the city of stairs.You can't go wrong with this property.

Charming and convenient

This apartment in a historical building has lots of charm. The host was incredibly flexible with us when we booked last minute after another apartment fell through. There are a lot of stairs, but it was not a problem for our family (2 adults, 2 young teens). The apartment was as advertised and had everything we needed. The location was fantastic: On a quiet street but close to restaurants, shopping, groceries and public transportation. The building is old (built in 1705!) but we thought it added to the character.

Location location....

If you want a traditional Parisian apartment in the heart of Paris then look no further. Ideally located just minutes walk from major attractions and the metro, yet tucked away in a quiet side street in the lively Marais district. Spacious apartment with everything you need (be aware this is more traditional than ultra modern) it has a certain gallic charm. The stairs are definitely a challenge after a night out but again that's part of the charm. The host was friendly and helpful and we had a great stay with no problems.

Fantastic!

Great location. Always felt safe, even walking around at night. Head the warning about steps. This property is not for those without some fitness. It's 95 steps to the fourth floor. But, we would definitely stay again and the steps are worth it. Check-in host was friendly and thorough. Messaged the host later for information and received a quick response. Definitely recommend this property.

Perfect apartment in the Marais!

This apartment in the Marais was amazing! In the middle of everything but also very quiet at night (but night life a couple of streets over if that's your thing). American-style freezing cold ac that we actually turned way down because we got too cold - and this was in the middle of temps in the 90s where we dripped sweat standing still in the shade outside! Some people might avoid it because it is a 4th floor walkup, but this did not deter us at all. Very clean, and Silvia was incredibly nice and willing to meet us at the apartment to explain everything even though we arrived at midnight (for only 50 Euros extra, which is very fair in my opinion). Highly recommend!!

Convenience in the center of Paris

We quickly learned our way around. This location is very central to the subway and bus so you can go to all the sights. It is a fourth floor walk-up so make sure you are fit. Our host was most helpful and met us at the apartment to show us around.

Lovely apartment - beware the steps

This is a lovely apartment in the middle of a vibrant area with plenty of restaurants, bars, bakeries and shops. The apartment is as described in the listing and is clean, spacious and comfortable. The 95 steps to reach the apartment are mentioned in the listing and in many reviews so are not a surprise but they are there are they are real. They are really only an issue if you enter and leave the apartment multiple times per day.

Perfect location in Marais

If a central location is needed this is a perfect apartment. The kitchen is not ideal for large dinners, but who eats at home when there are plenty of restaurants in the area. The beds are also a bit narrow, but we still had a wonderful stay. Everything was clean and nice and that's important!

Convenient location

Excellent location, walkable access to many attractions. Close to Metro. Lots of restaurants, bakery for morning coffee and a croiscent. Hosts were friendly and helpful. We don't speak French so let them know ahead of time and they were very accommodating. Communication was no problem. Place is comfortable. Enjoyable visit.

Our Le Marais stay

We had a great stay here, the property is in an awesome location with easy access to transport/attractions. Loads of good bars and cafes all around it and area busy but safe at night. Unfortunately the air conditioning was temporarily not working and temperatures were very high during our stay, despite two large fans provided the apartment was uncomfortably warm.

We had planned to stay in Montmarte originally when we planned our trip to France but settled on Marais for its proximity to our points of Interest. This allowed us to walk to all of our destinations and we averaged 8 miles per day for our 5 day stay( a personal best for all of us!) The flat at 10 Rue Aubriot is a 4 story walk up so leg strength is a must The owner, Jean-Marie, is a wonderful host and is very helpful with restaurant suggestions and such We are already discussing our return visit! Lovely stay, perfect location

This property was the perfect home base in Paris for our family of four. We loved that everyone got their own bed and the living room was great for relaxing at night after a long day of museum-hopping! Check-in was very easy; the on-site manager greeted us and showed us how everything worked (she speaks French and Spanish not English but we have French and Spanish speakers in our family so that was not an issue). Note that the unit is a fifth-floor walkup so there are about 90 stairs, part of which are narrow; we traveled carry-on only and were able to get our luggage up without issue (but are all pretty fit and strong folks). Higher ceilings were great for the taller (6 foot) member of our group. The proximity to a grocery store and excellent boulangerie were appreciated for breakfasts - coffee being included in the rental was a nice perk! The location is also great for runners - you can be out to the Seine within a couple blocks. We loved the view of the Pompidou out of the kitchen window and appreciated the quiet of the neighborhood, even though there's plenty of great restaurants and shopping within easy walking distance. We would gladly stay here again on a return trip!

Great hosts and property. Perfect location. I would rent again. Just one note: the property is a fifth floor walk up (sixth floor in the US). Though I didn’t mind the exercise at all someone out of shape might struggle a bit.

We have stayed at several VRBOs in Europe and North America over the years and this place is without a doubt our favorite. It was absolutely perfect for my wife and myself along with our adult granddaughter. The reviews we read before we booked it sounded great and the only possible downside was the number of stairs we had to climb to reach the top floor. Everything else sounded so good we decided to go for it and I’m so happy we did. The 95 stairs was never an issue and our legs are now in much better shape. The building was built in the 17th century and the original wood beams give it that old French charm, but the modern conveniences in the kitchen and bathroom make it very livable. Overal it was a perfect place to stay in the middle of the best neighborhood in Paris. The host, Jean Marie was great to work with and we will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Paris.

Mice in the flat.

Mice in the flat meant we had to constantly clean and didn’t feel happy cooking. The owner put poison down but refused to make any financial reimbursement (VRBO suggested we ask for this). The owner used racist language about Indian people and was derogatory about Americans. He used sexist language derogatory towards women.

We would definitely stay here again.

If you can handle the steps, this is a great place to stay in an ideal location. Near Notre Dame and the Seine, surrounded by cafés and restaurants, and a short ride (or a medium walk) to the Louvre. My son loved the loft style bed, we all had room to spread out, and the washer and dryer was a great bonus during the second half of a two week trip. There is a grocery store with great hours right around the corner. The hosts were easy to communicate with through the app amd my daughters French came in handy during check in and the tour of the apartment. I would definitely stay here again. We came in late August when the weather was comfortably warm and the tourist crowds were lighter than earlier in the summer.

Perfect Paris Location

Great apartment in the heart of Le Marais and close to shops, fabulous restaurants, hip bars and easy access to all that Paris has to offer! Definitely read reviews. 90+ steps to climb is a lot with luggage. Also, if arriving late (as we did) there are extra fees that are not mentioned in the listing. Summer travelers: AC was only operating in one room. We asked for help and there was nothing they could do. The onsite manager (Loli) is lovely and accommodating. She will meet you at apartment for checkin. She speaks French & Spanish only. We spoke Spanish and it all worked out!! One other note - our 9:45pm flight was delayed by over an hour and we then had to get bags & clear customs. While dealing with all of this, I was receiving messages from owner urging me to “hurry” to the apartment. Our delays were completely out of our control. In a time with major travel issues - keep your communication open with owners to avoid any issues and you will be fine! .

Charming & spacious -- but not right for everyone

We (parents + adult child) stayed here for a week in May 2022. It is a spacious top-floor apartment that is well-equipped with modern appliances but still manages to keep the feel of its 17th century origins. From the dining area you can look right out over the neighboring buildings and see the Pompidou Center. All contacts with the owner & manager were friendly and professional (although it helps in talking to Loli if you can speak French -- and there is no English-language "users guide" to the apartment). Issues to consider when deciding to rent: (1) The stairs are serious, so something to think about if you tend to go in & out a lot or have a lot of luggage (or small children) (2) Fans help greatly in the heat, but if you open the window in the front bedroom (the one with the loft) you will get a lot of street noise at 3am (3) The mattress in the front bedroom is *very* firm. It didn't bother my husband but I slept on top of additional blankets to soften it up. The good news is that lots of blankets are provided by our host. All in all a wonderful apartment. Just lovely.

We loved this traditional apartment in the center of Paris. We could walk to many of the most visited spots in Paris in a few minutes and the rest were easily accessed by the metro which was only a few blocks away. We also had great access to many shops and eateries within steps of the door. The neighborhood was quiet. We were welcomed and taken care of by a wonderful relative of the owner and she took great care in making sure all was well for us. Couldn't have been a better location for what we were doing. Would return in a heartbeat.

Great little place for your Parisian adventures

My family of four stayed here and it was the perfect size. The two kids shared a bedroom which had a double bed and another double mattress up in the loft. Getting up to the loft might be a tight squeeze for a large adult but it was fine for our needs. There was a heat wave while we were here so it was a little warm, but the open windows provided a nice breeze in the nights. Despite being in such a popular area, the nights and mornings were relatively quiet. We loved the big windows in all the rooms to allow in the air and enjoyed sitting in the comfy couches at the end of the day to chill and have a glass of wine. Please note there are around 85 steps winding up to the apartment, but we didn't mind as there were many croissants, pain au chocolate (bought at a boulangerie 2 minutes away!) and gelato (also 2 minutes away) that we needed to walk off! Plus, very close to Centre Pompidou and many other cultural treasures! There is a Monop+ nearby where you can pick up some groceries, beer, wine, etc. Communication with the manager was very good. It would've been handy to have all the directions for using the washer/dryer/dishwasher/door codes/recycling in a little book somewhere as a reference for the weary and the jet-lagged with little working memory. All in all, a terrific spot in a terrific part of the city!

Hot under the roof

We arrived at the peak of heat wave in Paris. Even though it was listed that there was AC, it was turned off without possibility to turn it on, there were no fans and the fans were provided on the third of our four night stay. The apartment is on the fifth floor under the roof with no elevator. Tempature reached 31 degrees calcium (96 degrees F) even at night. Sleeping was a nightmare. As oppose to VRBO in the US there is not a box of Kleenex or a small towel. It is decorated in antique style and the ambiance is there but it is hard to appreciate it with 95-96 degrees of heat

What a beautiful and characterful apartment! Really spacious with plenty of room for everyone. Anything you could possibly need was supplied and everything was immaculately clean. The location is amazing - fantastic shops and cafes in your doorstep and a walk or short bus/Metro ride to all the famous sights. Fully equipped apartment but a lot of stairs

We just stayed in this apartment and it's very nice and big. We had tempatures of 33° and the apartment was really hot because it's placed right under the roof. But it was also really hot outside. The kitchen is really nice with diswasher, microwave, gasstove, oven ect. We could have used more table knives and the mikrowave was placed akwarkly but otherwise perfect kitchen. On paper the apartment sleeps 6 people but we were 6 adults and two of us should have slept on a bedloft in one of the two bedrooms. The latter was narrow and steap and in the end non of us wanted to sleep up there so we moved the matras to the living room. The apartment is in a very quite street and there is supermarkets very close by. There is also a lot of cafes and restaurants in the neighboorhood. In walking distance of metro and sights. It's really practical that the bathroom and toilet is two different rooms so one can shower and an other can use the toilet.

Really nice apartment in the Marais.

The description of this apartment exactly matches the actual property. The location is great for getting around not only the Marais, but all of Paris. The owners were helpful and responsive. The apartment was very clean and quite large.
