Nice hotel, good area

Publié le 7 oct. 2016
Situation : Lots of bars and restaurants locally and within walking distance of tourist attractions such as the louvre, eifel tower etc.
Stayed 3 nights at this hotel. Well located in the Latin quarter, no shortage of bars and restaurants in the locale! Staff are friendly and helpful, room was small and basic but comfortable and overall good value for money. Be careful when getting a taxi from the train station - we were asked by a man inside the station if we wanted a taxi, before being taken to a parking lot and been asked for neatly 100 euros for travel to the hotel!! Got a taxi from outside the station instead for a cost of 16.50 euros.

A hotel with a neighborhood feel on Rue Mouffetard

Publié le 3 oct. 2016
Les + : Its location and friendly personnel.
Les - : Restoring their free coffee and croissants from 10 years ago would start the day perfectly!
Situation : Explained above. The nearby Metro meant easy access to all parts of Paris. We even used it as means to travel to and from Charles deGaulle Airport.
A hotel on this active street gives travelers a real Parisian neighborhood experience! It was safe and friendly with an eclectic selection of shops and two open air markets, including the one at the nearby Metro stop (Place L'Monge). From the Metro we visited sights and museums daily and nightly enjoyed food on the street and at bistros on Rue Mouffetard. The Luxembourg Gardens, Parthenon, and Sorbonne were a few blocks away. Breakfast at two nearby bakeries was a morning delight! And the hotel arranged our day out of the city to Giverney and Monet's gardens. What a pleasure! We thank all the citizens who welcomed us and wish them well!

Good location, horrible staff.

Publié le 3 oct. 2016
The male receptionist appeared friendly yet deceptive. He gave us a room with the AC totally out of order. We asked for another room which had AC working. He replied the hotel is under innovation and had no other available room. We were so disappointed as we had paid in full and expected what other hotels offered. After ignoring us while playing on the computer screen for a while, he said he remembered there was a room available with AC. The room was smaller and the shower drained very slowly. No one should go through this unfortunate experience. With this, even with the great location as the hotel was, two thumbs down for me.

Giudizio positivo camere piccole ma normali per Parigi. Hotel vicino al centro cittadino 10 minuti a piedi da Notre dame e con accanto la metro di place monge, ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

Small rooms but friendly staff and great location.

Publié le 29 juil. 2016
Les + : Location
Les - : Size of the rooms.
Situation : Restaurants and bars. Some are rather touristy and not very good value but others are more interesting.
The hotel is in a great location right on Rue Mouffetard with busy bars and restaurants all around and open late (a room facing away from the street is therefore recommended) .The Pantheon is just a short walk away as is the heart of the Latin Quarter. The rooms are very small but well-equipped (with one of the smallest washbasins I have ever seen!). With so much to see and do nearby you probably won't be spending much time in the room aside from sleeping which means their size is not too much of problem. Staff are all cheerful and friendly.

Great location, but no AC and unreliable wifi

Publié le 26 juil. 2016 sur Hotels
The hotel is at a great location, situated on a lively, quaint street and being only one block away from the metro. It's also within reasonable walking distance from most major sites in Paris. The room itself is clean and depicted accurately in pictures. However, it's extremely small. For example, the bathroom door literally hits the bed when opened. The bathroom is also a very tight space. We did not mind the constraints of the space so much, as it was functional. Our grievances mainly had to do with the wifi, which didn't work reliably (on one day it was out for several hours) and to which we had to reconnect through a two-step process whenever we turned on a device; it sometimes took several minutes to re-establish connection. This process was quite frustrating as it interfered with our trip planning. Moreover, you should keep in mind that the rooms do not have air conditioning. This may not be an issue for most of the year, but we were there during some very hot days in Paris. Importantly, opening the windows in our case made things worse, as we were placed in a room whose window was facing a "courtyard" configuration into which the AC vents from the lobby were blowing their hot air. We asked and received a fan from the front desk, but those hot nights were still uncomfortable as we had to keep our windows closed.
