Perfect Cozy Beach Getaway

We had a wonderful stay! The house is perfectly situated to enjoy Oxnard’s stunning beaches and harbor, and a reasonable drive to all of the other towns we explored (Ventura, Ojai and Santa Barbara). The house was perfect for the 3 of us, had plenty of space on the back patio and was very cozy. Definitely would stay here again!

Great stay!

Exactly as listed except there is no spa. Comfortable bed, lots of room inside and out, quick access to lovely beach. Would absolutely stay here again!

So easy, beautiful- truly a home away from home

The house is so cute! Has everything we needed. The beach is just down the flat street. Our dog loved it too. For sure we will return. The hosts are marvelous and quick to respond.

Great place!

We really enjoyed staying at this cute beach cottage. From the beach vibe decorations to great built in bbq to the 2 minute walk to the beach, it all added up to a relaxed, calm vacation. Lisa and her team offered such a personal touch, lots of communication, which is much appreciated!

Exceeded my expectatuons

Oh My Word!!! It is the most adorable place. From the moment we walked in to the rooms, the kitchen, the wow bathroom the outdoor patio. And within walking distance of the beach. The bedrooms were super comfortable & spacious. The decor very tasteful.the kitchen had everything we needed. We spent the best time there. We were able to use the beach chairs while there, as well as the washer & dryer. We are already planning our next trip there. Wonderful, wonderful cozy place.

A little hiccup but all worked out in the end!

On our 3rd day we noticed there was a bubble of water in the ceiling caused by a lot of rain that happened a few days prior. One quick call to the property manager got us a construction crew to fix the situation. Because they preferred that we not be in the house during the "fix", they relocated us to another property, and allowed us to stay an extra few days without additional cost. It was a little hassle, but we were well taken care of. This property comes fully equipped! Even for your 4 legged friends!

Awesome house close to the beach!

We drove from AZ to have a beach getaway with our whole family and this place did not disappoint! The backyard was our favorite hangout spot! What an awesome vacation! 10/10, would recommend! We will be coming back!

Excellent Beach Cottage

Terrific location to the beach and overall a perfect property for a “get away from it all”. Very nice back area with a fire pit, grill and BBQ. Would definitely stay there again.

A little home away from home

Great place to reset and unwind! Steps from the beach, shopping only minutes away, and very nice locals. The house has everything you could possibly need, even down to coffee and creamer. Would highly recommend!

Chic Beach Shack

We (2 adults plus dog) had a lovely time at this property. Everything was as advertised. The neighborhood was very nice and quiet, and the beach was just a few minutes away. Lisa responded to our questions in record time. We will be adding this vacation home to our list of all-time favorites.

This was our second time staying at Chic Beach Shack. It’s a very comfortable space for a small family and a dog. The location can’t be beat, just steps from one of the best beaches in SoCal. We can’t wait to return!

Beach staycation

Our trip ended up better than expected! We are locals who came just for a change of scenery to enjoy the beach. The house was perfect to accomplish just that! Everything was as expected per the posting minus some minor spiderwebs around the front and backyard. Nothing that couldn’t be wiped down before using though! We took advantage of some of the local fun around town and had a blast!

A wonderful vacation with granddaughters.

We enjoyed our stay. Our only complaint is the quality of the cookware. We do not like cooking on scratched Teflon . We loved listening to the military Taps being played every night at 8:08 pm.

My Summer Getaway

This was my 2nd stay in this chic shack. I enjoyed my stay with the perfect weather and great places to dine and walk around. Whenever I needed something at the house, I contacted the owner and she was very attentive to my needs at all times. Looking forward to going back soon!

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this property and will not be the last! It's such a great house so close to the beach! It's so cozy and the backyard is great!! We brought our bikes this time and rode around the neighbor. Everyone is so kind from the bar around the corner to the corner store! Can't wait to stay here again!!!

My Morher's Day Weekend

My daughter and I stayed in this adorable beach house for a weekend to celebrate Mother's Day. The beach was a block away in a wonderful, friendly neighborhood close to some local good eats. The house was impeccable on arrival and the host manager was always accessible for all our needs. It was well stocked with coffee and teas plus other basics. I can't wait to return!

Chic Shack is a vacation destination

The house is tastefully decorated, nice bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen all recently remodeled. Great backyard, perfect for bbqing, outdoor dining and sitting around the fire pit. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star rating is that the pots and pans need to be upgraded as well as the cooking utensils and need to have a better wine opener, other than that it was perfect and so close to the beach. I would definitely stay again!

Perfect Family Spring Break

The #1 reason I chose this home was the location. My family has vacationed in the Silverstrand area for over 20 years and we just love the neighborhood. This home was very enjoyable and wonderful and just a short, quick walk down the street to the beach! The beds were incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with dishes, pots, pans and glassware so we were able to cook every night without missing anything. The BBQ was fantastic as well and we used it a couple of nights for hamburgers, chicken and steaks! The backyard had to be mine and mom's favorite. It was very spacious, relaxing and quiet! My son was also very happy we could bring our two dogs on vacation with us. We loved the quiet walks around the neighborhood and being able to ride our bikes down to the corner store and little café. We would definitely love to come back to this home as it was quite perfect for us!

The house is in a good location away from major streets and walking distance to beach. All rooms have a TV. VERY clean. Nice outdoor seating area with table and chairs. Would recommend stay here.

It was like a dream...

We had a wonderful time at the beach shack in Oxnard. This was the first vacation we have taken as a family in over five years. It was everything we could have dreamed of and more. Stayed here for a quick getaway with my Husband and dog, so glad we did. Great house, great location! Great corner bar at the end of the street. All the locals were super nice and welcoming. The backyard was really relaxing and inviting. Would stay here again!!

Amazing residence inside of great community.

Perfect home away from home for the week

We booked Silver Strand as a place to stay while having some work done on our home in LA and it worked out perfectly. There was enough room for me and my husband to work and our daughter to do online school during the day, and we thoroughly enjoyed the close proximity to the beach where we took daily walks. We definitely plan to return int he warmer months so we can take full advantage of the beautiful beach!

Great stay at Silver Strand cottage

We stayed at Silver Strand cottage for 5 nights and had a great time. The place is very cute and seems recently remodeled. It’s just steps from a beautiful giant beach. The neighborhood is very quiet, not a lot of traffic and great for kids playing outside or walking to the beach. The area has a lot to offer and beautiful bike paths. We will come back!

Beach Get away

Our stay was perfect! The beach is beautiful and there were so many surfers to watch! The sunsets were magnificent! The house provided everything you need and the beds were super comfortable! We would stay again in a heartbeat!!!
